Jools1 · 08/10/2008 10:47

Oooh - test time again - exciting

WanabeMum · 08/10/2008 12:09

hello! well done Bubble i always get in a muddle with amending the list!

Are you feeling better Bubble? what a traumatice event for you?!

I'm not sure whether to test yet. May leave it ........who am i kidding??!!! I'm probably going to test Saturday but that's still only 10DPO so if a negative may leave it until next Wednesday then

Isn't Heeby back this week some time? hope she had a lovely holiday, and hopefully worker hard on her BFP!!

Anyone else going to test with me? are we having a testathon or are people going to test on a few different days?

wasabipeanut · 08/10/2008 13:17

Blimey Bubble that's a hell of an experience. Of oving is that painful for youhere's to a very swift result!

Yellow - have my finger crossed for you, I hope the news from the gp is positive!

Existential - I think we have all had our "I have turned into a crazy woman" moments. I guess as long as they stay as moments not the norm hen we'll be ok! Sorry to hear the wotch arrived but enjoy a hot bath and some vino!

No news from me really just checking in. I am only 6 days po so no symptoms to spot yet! Given that bd'ing at the crucial time was somewhat limited I am not overly optimistic but at least I know when I ov'd this time. Temping has been quite an interesting exercise from a scientific pov!

ExistentialistCat · 08/10/2008 13:24

Errr no, not testing, bubble. You must have missed Sunday's post because of hospital - sounds very scary and I hope you're ok now. Had spotting on Sunday and then proper AF Monday. But am trying to see the bright side - at least I have my period back (first one off the pill, having been on it for 17 years. How did I get old enough to have been doing anything for 17 years?!), and it meant being able to have rather a lot of wine and a very hot bath!

I'm temping and I've started to dream about temping just before I wake up. So by the time the alarm goes, I've already taken my temperature about 15 times in my sleep. Insanity is clearly looming.

So here is the list with me updated on it:
Sparky BFP!!!!
Nelix BFP!!!!
Jools1 BFP!!!!

doctor called and.... the receptionist just said I have to go in for a retest. So still no negative or positive.aaaaargh

funtimewincies · 08/10/2008 20:28

Just catching up on the news as t'internet has been down for a few days. Been trying to go wireless, what a faff! Well, a 28 days cycle would mean AF today, but nothing so it's probably 30 days as predicted. If nothing by the weekend, well maybe a test (she says, desperately conning herself ).

Anyway...
Existentialist - ahh, you're in the right company for these moments . Mind you, it's amazing how quickly dh/dp stops being so 'what the hell is all the fuss about' if conception doesn't happen within a couple of months (not wishing that on you, obviously ). My dh has become very understanding all of a sudden now that we've been trying for a while for dc2. I'm sure that I'm not preggers this month (mind you, I don't feel periody either ) but I was looking at that clearblue test thinking, well they want the results by the end of October...

Bubble - blimey, hope that you're feeling better and that next month isn't as traumatic!

Yellow - am I being a bit thick, but LH and HCg are different hormones, aren't they? I'm determined to find out now! In the meantime, hope that you get am answer soon.

Hello to everyone and hope we have some BFPs soon .

funtimewincies · 08/10/2008 20:35

I stand corrected www.peeonastick.com/opkhpt.html

However, I still reckon that an LH surge would not be showing up over such a long period of time. A retest would also suggest that they're having the same trouble as you and, therefore, you are as sane as we know you to be .

How annoying and stressful for you thought .

yellowflowers · 09/10/2008 12:22

If I am not pregnant then everyone just smells. This morning I could see no one on the train eating but could smell a sandwich. today at work the person next to me has terrible BO and I can smell a fag on someone across the room. Hope it's a symptom.

Going to doctors tomorrow to do the retest.

WanabeMum · 09/10/2008 12:26

Hey funtime i'm a bit like that. Think it should be a 29day cycle so AF due tomorrow but that's only 9DPO. So if nothing by Sunday will probably test, just in case!

Starting to feel a bit queezy at the moment, my mouth keeps filling up with saliva like i want to vomit sorry tmi! Yuk
Still not feeling very periody though. No niggles or anything, but my one boob (i know it's weird!) is tender to touch and both are sore when i walk (when they move in other words!)

Anyway, probably nothing. Keep telling myself im trying not to symptom spot.

funtimewincies · 09/10/2008 13:08

This weekend it is then Wanabe! Is Smileycat still in as well, I'm losing track a bit. I might have ov'd later than usual, I didn't feel it this month and I'd been on the strong ibuprofen, but if no AF by the weekend, I'll test for the hell of it. As all my pregnancies have been different, I've given in trying to work out symptoms.

PG1 - general fuzziness and lethargy (ectopic)
PG2 - Extremely sore boobs, sick from 4 days before AF due until about 10 weeks (twins, lost one, but have gorgeous ds )
PG3 - Nausea, fuzziness, tender boobs, sick from 2 weeks after AF until 11 weeks (missed m/c).
PG4 - Small niggles, but no real symptoms (CP)

This month I feel neither pg nor periody. Please someone slap me now for even entertaining the hope .

WanabeMum · 09/10/2008 13:25

Hope is good! it keeps us going. Didn't realise you had had such a traumatic time of it though funtime. I'm not good at the whole pg symptoms as this is my first so wouldn't have a clue really. Thought i had symptoms last time and that ended in AF so what's the point? I'll wait to see my BFP then i'll believe it!

Not sure about smiley haven't seen her on here for a little while. Let us know if you're going to be joinging us smiley!!

Fingers crossed for 2 BFP's (or 3 if smiley joins us)!!!!!!!!

When's Heeby back?

funtimewincies · 09/10/2008 19:18

I might actually give in and test tomorrow (10th) just to get it out of my system.

Watch this space...but don't hold your breath .

nelix2000 · 10/10/2008 09:31

so funtime how did you get on???

I am recovering from 3 weeks of terrible morning sickness....very very odd...my ds gave me it very mildly only for a week! With this one i have lost weight and been able to eat very little. I feel somewhat human today.....just in time to sit my exam on monday oh joy! Off to the gym, hope to hear good news on my return!!!

OP posts:
Mylittlebubble · 10/10/2008 10:21

nelix my SIL has a theory that bad MS equals Girl! so far she has been right x

WanabeMum · 10/10/2008 12:14

Oooh that's exciting nelix!!! maybe you're having a girl!!

funtime what did the test say? or did you not give in? Were you strong?

I'm feeling a bit queezy today and a little yesterday but always around lunchtime, odd not sure if that's a symptom or my imagination as i'm 9DPO today. This seems to be taking forever to get to 10DPO!!! wanting to get there so i don't start worrying that my LP is too short! gosh im such a worry wort! Plus im CD31 today, not happened in a long while!

Yellow that sounds very much like a symptom to me!

funtimewincies · 10/10/2008 12:48

Sorry, BFN as anticipated .

On the plus side, no sign of AF and I've just got my onions planted for next year .

Nelix - sorry to be the one who goes against the grain but I was horrendously sick with ds (and his chum). I lost a stone in about 6 weeks and even after the throwing up, throughout the pregnancy there was increasingly less of me as the bump got bigger. It looked as if I was being eaten alive, but it did mean that I was back in my jeans 3 days after the birth. Maybe you're having twins !

Wanabe - this is all sounding good!

yellowflowers · 10/10/2008 13:40

Hello,

Turns out the reason the doctor needed a retest on the urine sample was because on Monday they'd given me the wrong sample bottle and it had been contaminated (there is another element in bottles used for infection testing apparently and they'd given me this). I was so pissed off.

The doctor I saw was nice. She says sore boobs throughout cycle just one of those things that happens which I don't really believe but I did make her check I had no lumps so she felt them and all fine, so not cancer at least! She also said if pregnant would def show on home urine test and I said fine but therefore why the metallic taste and sore boobs, and sense of smell etc. She reordered urine test and I insisted she get blood test done too. But still came away feeling like a hyperchondriac and like she thought I was mad. I hate GPs.

So upshot is probably not pregnant but thanks to their incompetence won't know for sure until blood test results back next week, and having sore boobs for over two weeks is apparently just one of those things.

So guess I will just assume I am not pregnant. But not 100 per cent certain. Got to BD lots anyway now because if my 3 day mini period two weeks ago was my proper period then now is the time for this month. I am very close to tears.

x

WanabeMum · 10/10/2008 13:54

Aww yellow!! how aweful for you. Why didn't they just tell you over the phone then you could have gone straight down and got the bottle to send off another one rather than wait for an appointment! how stupid of them

You're right to be upset this is so stressful just waiting for AF without the "am i, aren't i" scenario which is as confusing as yours. I'm glad that it's not cancer, at least that's a positive outcome. Although can't help but really feel for you.

Get BD-ing honey and at least this month wont be a total waste of your time! you never know, by the time your blood tests actually come back you could be in the 2ww feeling a lot more positive (or pg of course)

Keep smiling xxxxxx

WanabeMum · 10/10/2008 13:55

Oh and sorry to hear about your BFN funtime, although couldn't it still be a little early for you?

funtimewincies · 10/10/2008 19:15

Oh Yellowflowers, that is so ! Hugs and hope that they don't muck it up this time.

Wanabe - let's hope so. It looks as if I've ov'd later than normal, pg or not. Arghh, I did the test to stop me thinking that I might be and now I'm hoping again . Slap me, hard, and soon .

Anyone know what's happened to Smileycat and Heeby these days? Hope that everything is OK for Sparky too, I'm presuming that she's moved to an antenatal thread.

Ilovebeingamummy · 11/10/2008 20:20

HI all

Well I am totally confused as to where mc leaves me in terms of current cycle. If I take first day of bleeding as CD1 (it only lasted 3 days) then i am currently on CD15 and have had EWCM since thurs so maybe ov at usual time?? I don't know, just bding every other day where poss just in case!

So for stats that would make af around 24th but I am having no HPTs in house until nov 5th. Some hope.....! :0 Hope all well x

Ilovebeingamummy · 11/10/2008 20:21

oops :0 =

Mylittlebubble · 12/10/2008 10:59

Yellow what a pain in the ass! Good for you for sticking up for yourself and not just accepting the GP's assumptions xx

Will AF arrived this morning . We have been so good this month BD'ing every other day! I have a docs appointment next Friday to discuss my episode and check that is wasn't anything serious or fertility related. Lets hope my doctor is more understanding!!
