Oh Summerbird poor you {sad} I know exactly how you feel, I did that last year (without the vac, but I do blame the slippers!) and ended up with a lovely purple bum!

Dawn I love HP too, so I was gutted about that too! But at least Bond has been brought forward - hurray hurray hurray!!!

Fingers crossed Fairywing

Well CD24 for me, the waiting goes on and on.....

summerbird · 05/09/2008 11:11

Mmmm Bond - Daniel Craig - mmmmmm

I think Love Actually is a real feel good film, shall we watch that? And i soooo agree we should have an xmas party, i will order the pink champagne....

I had a reality check this morning, i caught up with an old friend on Facebook who is 32 and celebrated her daughters first birthday last month. The thing is it took her 4 years to conceive. Now i know you are all gasping with but it really put things into perspective for me. I am going to stop moaning that it is 6 months now and am basically going to get on with my life. I am still staying on here as I love the chat, but i am not going to obsess as much as i usually do. It shocked me that she is 3 years younger than me, she said she almost gave up on it, can you imagine four years of checking for symptoms and getting upset over AF.. poor girl.

Ah yes but i am still going to use the preseed - prob tonight - bring it on!!!!!

Oh and thanks for the messages, my back is much better but my bum is a bit delicate!!!!!

Happy Friday girls

saz007 · 05/09/2008 11:27

4 years OMG!!!!!!!! That does put into perspective. Thanks for sharing that Summerbird

Good luck with the preseed

Yes I agree with the yummy Daniel Craig (he's also a good actor - who knew!!), but Connery is still the best Bond. I'm a total fan...have been for as long as I can remember. I even have the models of the cars

I like Love Actually too, I was actually thinking of watching that or About a Boy this weekend with DH - spooky! I'm up for a virtual xmas party, as long as the tunes are cheesy!!

summerbird · 05/09/2008 12:19

'so here it iiiiiiis merry christmas every boooooddyyyyys having fuuuuun'

god i love that song!!

also re Daniel Craig, does anyone remember him in 'Our Friends in the North'? I loved that programme and even have it on DVD. Could be due to me being a Geordie tho!!

bluestarlavender · 05/09/2008 12:24

Hi guys,

Sorry for being quiet yesterday! I had a frantic day in the office and then had a big evening out with all my work colleagues.

My whole team are field-based and everyone was staying over at a hotel near the office...except me. Work nights out with my colleagues have always have a habit of being very painful the morning after! I'm on CD 13 today, and OV is imminent, so thought I should be a little careful! Had to lie to get out of staying over. But thankfully having to drive home prevented any drinking.

Fairywing - any news today? Now that AF is late, when do you think you might test?

Dawn and Saz - I love Love Actually, I went to see it with DH when we first started dating. But the movie The Holiday is what made me say yes to marry my DH. So I love them both! I can't wait for the new Bond movie though!! I love Daniel Craig...he's lovely.

Big waves to everyone!!

Summerbird hope ur wounds are a bit better!!

xx

fairywing · 05/09/2008 12:58

Well when will i test now thats the burning question!! If AF doesnt arrive, i don't actually know how long my cycle is so i guess the sensible thing to do would be to give it another week before testing. Don't know that i will actually hold out that long though. In all honesty though im pretty sure AF is on her way. Cramps are getting slightly stronger as the day goes on and feel distingtively AFish, i also have a headache now, this is all normal for me. Still its not over till its over so fingers still crossed!!

DawnAS · 05/09/2008 15:03

I'm very disappointed that no-one has mentioned Cliff Richard's "Saviours Day", I love that Xmas tune and I've already got my "Now That's What I call Xmas" CD ready and waiting - ha ha!!

Fairywing, I think you're right to wait another week, I would.... . Keeping everything crossed for you though....

fairywing · 05/09/2008 15:03

Well no AF yet. I reay don't want to get my hopes up but having had no symptoms until today, i have felt bleurgh all day and am absolutely knackered!! No reason for it at all, i had my 7 hours sleep last night and havent done a lot so far today except for a little bit of housework and some paperwork. I could ust fall asleep! I'm beginning to wonder now. I think i ov'd about 11 days ago so could today potentially be implantation with the slight cramping and sudden onset of symptoms?

Oooh this is awful!!, i'm def not testing again yet though i'd hate to get another bfn.

DawnAS · 05/09/2008 21:27

The way I look at it Fairywing, is the longer you hold out, the more likely you'll be to know naturally because your symptoms will intensify... Remember that they say that the majority of women don't get any symptoms until at least 6 weeks.

Morning guys,

DH and I are having a mini crisis at the moment...I was wandering around on MN yesterday and saw a post about undescended testes causing fertility problems. Anyhow, long story short...DH had this and had an op at 8 years old to sort it out. By the looks of things, this is pretty late and can be a problem. I'm feeling pretty numb at the moment and I think DH is angry as no one has ever said anything about it being a problem.

Anyhow DH is going to call the docs on Monday to get an appointment to discuss this. I know we need to stay positive, but it's not that easy.

I hope everyone else is fine!!

Fairywing - any news this morning??

I am in need of a nice BFP from someone soon! It will be lovely to hear some happy news!

Fairy your fab, i would have been peeing on a stick by now. I'm only a few days past OV and every morning i have to stop myself from testing

Hope you all have a great weekend

xx

crunchynutter · 06/09/2008 18:03

BSL try to stay positive. At least now you have seen the thread you will be able to find out one way or another. You may never have know.

I'm a little down too... My auntie was at the hospital yesterday for some tests. It looks like cAncer has returned (3rd time) but they think it's behind her heart. Don't know officially though as she is now wait for a body scan but from what the doctors have said it's not looking good.

Anyway! I am not too bad apart from that. I have hAd a girly film dAy today and have wAtched hairspray and hAd a good sing along. Really does cheer you up! I have that same PMT symptoms that have made me test twice but I'm recognizing whAt it is now at least! Is still frustrating to feel this crap for a week every month but not to have AF (stop me from using my free clearblus test!!)

Hope you hear something soon BSL

Crunchy xx

bluestarlavender · 06/09/2008 18:55

Crunchy - sorry about your auntie!! I hope the news after the scan is better! I also wanted to ask if you have tried that herbal remedy we discussed a while back. I was curious to see if it did help bring back regular periods...

MAF - I admire Fairywing too, I would have had to pee on a stick by now as well!

Waves to everyone!!

No news yet today, more intense cramps but no AF. Really feel like she will arrive any moment though i think by the morning she will be here. Will keep you posted.

crunchynutter · 06/09/2008 20:39

hi! BSL it is oN my list! I am ridiculously broke at the moment, last months pennies went on holiday and this month I've gone a little crazy with back to school! (have spent £40 on stickers and £30 on books and then had my hair done and bought some clothes) and now am absolutLy broke again LOL it's embarrasing really. It scared me a little when I googled it that it may cause early miscarriage if you Are pg. Especially as i wouldn't know if I was pg so I'm waiting a bit! (sort our finances!) and give my body a little more time. I've got it in my head to give myself 6months before I get too panicky as I was told there would be a delay! SO I'm trying to relax up tip the new year then I mAy buy the pills!

Oh i don't know what to think now, no AF this morning, cramps have died down and aren't so intense. They are still there just more niggly and intermittent rather that constant like yesterday evening.Still have that vague nausious feeling too. Still not testing again though, couldn't bear another BFN, will wait and see. I hate this!

makingafamily · 07/09/2008 10:47

Fairy when was AF due?

fairywing · 07/09/2008 12:24

well i don't really know, this is my first proper cycle since my endo treatment and before that i was on the pill. I'm pretty sure i was a 28 day cycle before that which would make AF due on Friday just gone but i really don't know. The cramps were normal for me and going by them i should have come on either yesterday or this morning first thing but nothing and cramps have now died right down. Makes it hard cos i can't really say i'm late. I have felt odd for a couple of days now though.
