Tink

I had a horrific night sleep too! Had to keep waking up for food which is a first. My nausea never leaves me either so struggled all night!

Had to bolt home from town today as I felt so sicky. Have spent all afternoon so far on my back with DH waiting on me - Feel crappy though and its makin me down cause cant do anything useful.

Re: wanting a boy - at least you are finding out the sex now so have a while to get used to the idea if it isn't your preference. Don't beat yourself up about it - what will be will be! And you will adore your baby whatever the gender I'm sure!

Glask/Firesam I love the name Oliver too but can't have it for various reasons.

Firesam - Emilia (similar to Emelia) is also one of our girls names!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 26/08/2008 18:21

tink- i feel exactly the same with regards to the babies sex!! If i found out it was another girl i think i'd be crushed... but at the same time i'd have 20wks to get used to the idea...

we're already referring the to the bump/bean as a he... so it'd be really strange!!

GYo · 26/08/2008 19:08

LOL Gruff, Emilia is on our list too

Glad that DH is being nice and looking after you. You definately deserve the rest when feeling so poorly!

SesQal · 26/08/2008 19:10

Hello!!

Tink - sorry for no offer and lack of sleep. The fact that you got a viewing comparatively quick is good news though - at one point we went 6 weeks without a viewing on ours.

Diege - any news on your viewing?

Cal - For your Nan. Feel free to offload on here. This thread seems to be for all sorts at the moment - pushchairs, selling houses and all sorts! Seriously though, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I've been there and it's not easy.

Well 6dpo here and still no symptoms... Really trying to keep my expectations low...

GYo · 26/08/2008 19:12

Hi Ses,
Dont think no symptoms is particularly bad.

Easy to say when Im not on 2WW but still....

Also, 6 DPO is early still for anything....

Fingers crossed for you.

Hearing about your trip to York has made me really want to go.

SesQal · 26/08/2008 19:15

Hi GYo! You should go!!! I go about twice a year normally to see my friends and it is just one of the best places in the UK - a bit of history, a bit of culture, a bit of country side and great shopping!! (I managed to spend rather too much money in Coast!)

How are you doing this evening?

GruffaloSoldier · 26/08/2008 19:24

Wow Gyo - will the similarities ever end?

I just force fed myself bolognaise. I ate it all though, but bleugghhh!

Sorry i am really going on about it but it has taken over my life!

Ses FWIW I had no symptoms whatsoever til the day before I tested and got a very strong BFP! If I had had even an inkling I wouldn't have let my hair down quite so much at my sisters wedding just a few days before!!!

GYo · 26/08/2008 19:26

Yes- really fancy it for a weekend break. Have been before but years aog.

We are thinking where we can go for our wedding anniversary this year between xmas and new year or even after xmas... Might see if I can find a nice hotel And we have a really good friend in Yorkshire so we can see him too

Im good thanks for asking. Feeling relaxed after having Friday and today off as extra holiday.

Not looking fwd to going back to work tomorrow though, but on the bright side least its a 3 day week.

Are you still cycling Ses?

Diege · 26/08/2008 19:53

Hello! Not been in long after mega tiring day out with dds. Haven't read through thread (will try my best later!)but wanted to say hello . No offer on house, so doesn;t look good, though we had another viewing today (last minute) and at least house was relatively tidy!
Speak later, diege xxx

SesQal · 27/08/2008 07:48

Norning all! Just popping on before I go off to work.

I'm hating this 2ww. I keep feeling my boobs and trying to search for non-existent symptoms. Trying to keep it all in perspective though. Having said that, I haven't done any cycling since ovulation as I know they say if you're not used to doing exercise it can be a problem. I think until I successfully get duffed I'm probably going to end up cycling from cd1 to ovulation and then putting it on hold. I'm sure that really is being a bit too paranoid and I feel a bit silly but don't want to do anything that may risk another mc.

Diege - sorry no offer but another viewing already is a good sign

Glaskham (and anyone else sufferring) - hope the MS isn't too bad this morning.

Right - off to work! I have a day full of interviewing today!

calsworld · 27/08/2008 08:00

Morning all. Not got much to say this morning, not had the best night, if you've got time, I'm over here

SesQal · 27/08/2008 08:02

Cal - just seen your other thread. Is someone else around to help with ds today?

calsworld · 27/08/2008 08:09

DH has taken him to nursery so I'm on my own, apart from the dog. I prefer it that way as at least I can MN to my hearts content, I think it would be just awkward for anyone to be with me to be honest, not when we don't actually know what's going on.

Anyway, I'd rather not do this on this board, its just not appropriate...sorry everyone...I'll be elsewhere on MN today - probably reading too much

Diege · 27/08/2008 08:30

Morning . Cals, just seen your other thread and have replied there, but wanted to issue a rare wagon hug. Rest up today and take care xxx
SES, I'm sure cycling will be absolutely fine, but can understand you feeling as you do ; good luck with interviewing today - have done a few myself over the years and know how tiring they are (worse than being interviewed?? maybe not )
Hi to everyone else, hope food is being kept down for MS sufferers!

Playingthe9monthwait · 27/08/2008 09:33

Morning all,

Cal - I've replied on your other thread.

Now you guys have got me worried. Amelia is my fav girls name, but if everyone likes it then it sounds like there might be a loads of them next year. Hmm, might have to re-think

Without wishing to sound insensitive just wanted to let you all know that my scan was ok yesterday and nuchal fold was well within normal range.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 27/08/2008 09:58

sounds good playing!!

cals- replied on your other thread, thought are with you!! x

woke up at 5am this morning and was throwing up from then till about 8.30... i figured i felt better for about 5mins after each time i'd been sick so ran (ok hobbled on my weak legs) downstairs and got myself a bowl of porridge with lots of sugar for extra calories!! Its stayed down so far but in the last 10-15mins i've started to feel a bit worse again!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 27/08/2008 10:16

Glask- sorry you're really struggling this morning. Hope you manage to keep some food down, it always helps.

GYo · 27/08/2008 10:30

Hi Playing, I have similar dilema re popularity. We have a fairly common surname so really need something different

try this site, its great, though it does make my pc crash

babynamewizard.com/voyager

Diege · 27/08/2008 10:32

Scan sounds great Playing - wondeful news . Hi TINKS - takes me back to your 2ww looking at thise symptoms! Not long till your scan now .
Poor Glask - at least you've kept the porridge down - remember midwife telling me it does you good even if you only keep it down 10 mins. Hope you can get some rest today .
Off out now to see Wal-ee or whatever it's called with dds at cinema, plus Macdonalds (I'm going to sneak a baked spud in - how sad!).

Dalrymps · 27/08/2008 11:10

Hi everyone,

Calsworld- have posted on your other thread, take care x

Playing - That great about the scan!

Glask - sorry you're suffering, glad you managed to eat something, hopefully it'll pass soon and you'll be able to stuff your face

Hi diege and GYo and anyone else i've missed. Off to look at the baby name site, hope my pc doesn't crash!

pophas2beans · 27/08/2008 11:12

hi all - thought I would pop in and say hi and give you all an update. I'm 17 weeks now. Had another scan up in london on Friday. No sign of TTS which is great but they are going to scan me in another 4 weeks time to check it hasn't developed. We found out that they are boys!! DH is over the moon but DD isn't. She asked if we could swap them for girls once they come out. Bless her.

kookykid · 27/08/2008 11:12

Hi everyone -

Cals I have put a message on your other thread.

I have been an inconsistent waggoner on this thread haven't I? I am so busy trying to get everything ready for starting work next week, which I am DREADING. Had a lovely weekend away with DH and now up to my neck in planning and housework. Starting to lose sleep as well worrying about DD coping with childminder etc.
Probably going to take a break from here for a bit (not much different to now then!). Good luck everyone who's ttc now and happy and healthy pregnancies to those already duffed!

KK
