morning everyone , still no af and dont feel like she's on her way but i still don't wanna get too excited .
Anyone had bad breath as a sign of being pregnant ?
I know it sounds weird but i clean my teeth twict a day with mouthwash and everything and keep waking up with really bad breath !!!
never had it before and only last couple of days and my diet has not changed x x

Jael · 13/08/2008 09:30

Hi everyone, I jus wanna ask a question, I'm CD18, and for the past week or so I've been having terrible cramps, like period pains. I was using ovulation sticks and they said I ovulated around CD12. Any idea what these cramps are? I'm not due to start AF for at least 2 weeks. I've jus kinda convinced myself I can't be pregnant now cuz of all the pain? Anyone experienced anythin like this and were actually pregnant? Sorry so many Q's. Jael x

tink08 · 13/08/2008 09:46

Hi Jael , i've had these pains too with spotting tho , i've been told it could be either ovulation cramps ( which i've never had before this cycle ) or implantation cramps
I'm still getting them had them since 3dpo and i'm on cd 30 today and desperate to test x

FeelingDeviant · 13/08/2008 09:47

Hello everyone. I'm afraid I'm out for a May baby. AF came on Monday don't feel too bad about it now ... whatever will be will be.

Hope it works out for all the others who have yet to test/get AF

lou031205 very impressed by your managing to conceive whilst still breastfeeding and not having had an AF.
How old is your DC? Mine is 14 months and still breastfeeding though I have been getting Af for 5 months now and tested positive with OPKs not sure if ovulating though. any advice much apprecviated.

Good luck everyone!

tink08 · 13/08/2008 10:16

ok , i'm caving in , i tested with an ovulation test thismorning !
i know crazy but i needed to test and they're all i had in the house and i read somewhere that your lh hormone gets high again when pregnant and it was a very strong positive !!!
how can i be ovulating when i'm 2 days overdue my period ??
anyway just googled it and it sounds promising so gonna pop into town and get a test

Gateau · 13/08/2008 10:17

AF started on Sunday (10th). Will start TTC for second baby next week.

bamboostalks · 13/08/2008 10:22

How exciting Tink! Will be expecting AF whilst on hols so will be very pleased if nothing happens and have to come home to test. Used ovulation sticks and got a positive, have had loads of sex (Tmi there!) so fingers crossed.

bamboostalks · 13/08/2008 10:23

Thanks for all the stats Waitingtoexhale.

AbstractMouse · 13/08/2008 11:30

tink08 · 13/08/2008 15:10

i dont know if i'm angry at myself for caving in too early or if i'm angry coz i know i should av waited until the morning coz it is still early !
just done another ovulation test and that one is also a very strong positive
arrrggghhhh !!!
see what i've done to myself
i should've just waited
anyway got a twin pack so gonna test with fmw in mornin and see what that says
oh i bought a boots own brand and it does'nt say how sensitive they are any ideas ?

JLo2 · 13/08/2008 17:39

Hi Tink
You sound like you're on a bit of a roller coaster at the moment so I'm sending you a virtual hug
Hope is not lost yet, although I'm sure the morning seems a lifetime away, I think that is your best bet.

JLo2 · 13/08/2008 17:47

By the way, there's a great explanation of the whole subjest of using OPK's to detect pregnancy on this website
www.peeonastick.com
Click on the OPK-as-HPT on the menu on the left.

makingafamily · 13/08/2008 18:14

Hi Tink

After having a look at www.peeonastick.com (which i think is a fab name lol.) It looks like you can get a positive reading off an OPK before a HPT so wouldn't be annoyed with yourself. Sending you lots of BFP vibes

Got AF today so i guess that today is the official day of CD1 Cycle1 TTC DC1

twoplease · 13/08/2008 18:32

Hi everyone - good luck for the morning Tink - it does sound hopeful though.

the possibility of testing for me seems like sooooooo long away. I know they say you shouldn't wish your life away but its easy to do during the 2WW isn't it!

sorry to hear about AF FeelingDeviant - I'm sure some of us will be joining you in hoping for a June baby if we are not lucky this month. Can't decide if I feel positive or not about our chances for a May one now! - will just have to wait and see.

tink08 · 13/08/2008 19:07

hi jlo2 and makingafamily , that website is great ! thats what a friend told me about opk's so thats why i got so excited
i've been looking into the boots test and it looks like there only sensitive to 50mhl or whatever so they are by no means the most sensitive so i'm still hoping
will defo test first thing coz going to a farm park 2moro with my friend and her girls so dont want to pet and feed the animals etc
anyway you're all great and sorry to hear af has taking your dreams away this month makingafamily
and thanks for the hug jlo2 i needed it.
will prob do loads more research on internet about opk's like an obsessed idiot
will post back in morning x

makingafamily · 13/08/2008 20:05

Thanks Tinks but AF hasnt done that this month as am starting TTC this month (we're a gay couple and are doing home inseminations) so are a little more planned than most lol

What about the test 6 days early HPT thats out at the moment, could it be worth trying one of those in the morning?

nervousal · 13/08/2008 21:26

can I join in too? I'm 33, ttc dc #2 after 2 mcs, CD23 and desperate to test - I WILL wait till at least after AF due!!! I will - I will- I will

JLo2 · 13/08/2008 22:36

Hello makingafamily and nervousal, glad you could join us! We're all very good at symptom spotting and try our hardest not to test (although I can easily say that at CD15, but ask me again next week and I'll be sitting on my hands in an effort not to test ) Fortunately for me this month I'm away all next week so will have no chance to test, but will need lots of willpower the week after.
I thought the peeonastick website was great and full of stuff I didn't know (even after 4 pregnancies and 3DC). It's good to see someone is even more obsessed about testing than I am I have to say I have never even considered testing breastmilk!!!!
Keep strong nervousal, you will get there in the end I'm sure.
Good Luck tink, crossing my fingers for you

bigtree · 13/08/2008 23:24

Hi can i join?on cd6 at the mo just took my last 50mg of clomid tonight,it's my second round on it.
Been ttc#1 for about 15 months with no luck, really hoping it works this month!

tink08 · 14/08/2008 08:40

lillypie · 14/08/2008 08:59

It's not over til it's over tink

Fanlight · 14/08/2008 09:01

Oh may I butt in to say that May is a lovely time to have a baby, mine were both May and early June

bamboostalks · 14/08/2008 09:02

Hang in there. No AF so there is still hope.

yellowflowers · 14/08/2008 09:13

I tested on an ebay cheapy (opk and hpt) and both negative but do feel funny this morning (kind of sicky). Bought an early clearblue digital yesterday but only 8 dpo I think so silly to use it now.

twoplease · 14/08/2008 09:34

Morning all - thanks Fantail for comments about May/june babies - i would love one. my DD was born in december so i would love a spring or summer baby so that I can out and about with a newborn rather than being cooped up with a 4 year old and a new baby!! We shall see though, i know I can't choose and it will happen when it happens (she keeps everything crossed!)

Sorry to all those who have got BFN - Tink, its not over yet and Yellowflowers, save that Digi for a few more days!!

I am in a really grumpy mood today - am only on CD17 but feel really pre-menstrual- i get bad PMS and have woken up snapping DH's head off - maybe a bit of gardening with DD will sort me out!

How is everyone else going with keeping themselves occupied?
