twoplease do you run too? I think it is the only thing keeping me sane now.
when I was expecting dd I used to go to the gym very regularly and did so until about 12 wks then left it because I moved jobs too far from gym.

I am hoping if all goes well I can continue with some sort of exercise just to keep me sane

am starting to feel a bit weak and like testing in the morning but I will not

twoplease · 24/08/2008 23:07

Hi sfxmum, used to run a lot, on treadmills etc but on and off since dd was born. decided that focusing on something like running might stop me getting too excited (and then very negative!)each month. Am off to centre parcs tomorrow so thought that would be a fab place to ge back into it.

good luck if you do test in the morning - fingers crossed - we need some more postive vibes on the thread!

alfiemama · 24/08/2008 23:10

Hi twoplease good idea on the running, have a fab holiday

sfxmum, move away from the pregnancy test fingers crossed if you do though

sfxmum · 24/08/2008 23:53

twoplease have a great time and do go running it is fab and clear the head

alfiesmama will keep strong no I will I will

guess better start thinking of another name if the positive shows up, don't want anyone finding out before I am ready to share with the rest of my MN mates
last time I didn't got outed then had MC and felt awful wasn't really ready to share with everyone who found out

inni · 25/08/2008 07:58

morning. Thanks to you all for being supportive. I'm still scared and not enjoying 100% just in case. In my last 2 pregnancies never had this awful metal taste like all day long and really makes me sick (tmi). I'll repeat test tomor and chech the very pink line that will come up (positive thinking). I'm not having much period cramps and little spotting yesterday when wiped (sorry again, tmi). My boobs are no sore at all. I guess you can't have all the symptoms.I did the test on my CD28 and my periods are between 28 to 31 apart.
Thanks alfiemama. Did happended the same to you with test?

alfiemama · 25/08/2008 11:34

Hi Inni

I also thought they say no two preganancies the same so you will prob have different symtpons from last time.

With both my boys I must admit I did have strong positives, but last month I had what we think was a evaporation line either that or I mc as I was 11 days late (of 28 day cycle, or 3 days late of a 32 cycle) one night I did a test and had a very very faint line (barely noticable though but hubby so it aswell) then next morning it tested again and it was gone, yours doesnt sound like this at all and given the fact you have the metal taste in mouth and feel sick I would say you are preggers.

Spotting is quite common I did with both boys and cramps are common aswell as everything stretching

Have you booked for the drs they always say if in doubt asume you are and go asap then you get the best care.

Hpth

inni · 25/08/2008 12:43

It happened the exact same thing to me before my second preg. My GYN told me that this happens to many woman but don't have symptoms and realize they are pregnant so they don't do test and just have a delay on their periods. This time is not as faint as it was this other time but still worries me you know. I never read so many stories about people m/c so I'm a bit to much scared right now.

sfxmum · 25/08/2008 12:48

hi all

inni if you don't mind me asking how long have you been trying for?
I would agree with alfiemama post and do not have more to add

this morning I was very tempted to test but went running instead, am starting to fell what can be symptoms but it can also be all in my head
and as this is my 1st month back ttc best not get too caught up, so easy to say isn't it

I hope it turns out well

inni · 25/08/2008 13:03

In my last two pregnancies it took me just two months to conceive so I hoped to be as quick as that this time around. This was my first month trying, I guess we are too fertile. I don't want to make you or any of you to feel bad for what I just said. It takes different time for everyone. As I said I tested on my CD28 cos I felt straight away I was preg. Good luck to you all and be patient it will happen in the right time

sfxmum · 25/08/2008 13:12

inni sorry not what I meant, nothing wrong with being fertile really hope it is a true positive

alfiemama · 25/08/2008 14:07

Inni, try and relax hun, I know its difficult but I suppose its like when you weigh yourself its up and down like I dont know what throughout the day, it must be like that with hcg too, I never did any other tests with my two, I am sure if you can see it without holding it upto the light or at funny angles then you are pregnant and would check with the dr about spotting.

Positive thoughts and try and enjoy it

bigtree · 25/08/2008 22:55

Hi Ladies..hope everyones ok and feeling positive!!

cd17-18 for me and am feeling strong(up to now)
last month after my first round of clomid i had pains in my stomach all the way from cd14 to af but this month they stopped 2 days ago around ovulation and felt nothing since, which makes me wonder if i did actually ovulate or not!!bloody messed up cycles!!

Joining most of you now in the 2ww,so good luck..we really need some bfp's on here x

bigtree · 25/08/2008 22:59

Sorry..forgot to congratulate Inni..
Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy Inni x

alfiemama · 26/08/2008 00:05

Hi Bigtree

How are you finding the Clomid, my first is a clomid baby. How are the hot flushes

Are you having the blood tests to see if you are ovulating

RipMacWinkle · 26/08/2008 06:34

Congratulations Inni - fab news!!

Hello everyone else - hope we're all still feeling upbeat and positive

I'm now on CD20 so officially on the 2ww. As discussed before, I'm really so unconfident that this is our month. IN some ways I'm now just waiting for af so we can concentrate on next month. Roll on CD29.....

inni · 26/08/2008 08:03

Hey everyone I don't know if I should leave this thread or not as I don't know if this pregnancy is going to stop any time. I've done another test this morning and the line is still faint. I'm really sad about it as I expected a darker one after 2 days waiting for HCG to get higher. I still have all this symptoms and the thing is that I'm in my CD30 so maybe is still too early to have a Positive line (my AF are within 28 to 31 days). So maybe it's not the moment to celebrate yet.

leaky · 26/08/2008 08:36

Hi all.

I'm on CD31 today & finding it soo hard not to test,I desperately want to but my DH keeps telling me to wait until Friday,CD34, when AF is due. It's sooo hard.

Still don't have any symptoms but just want to know one way or another, yet I know how pointless it would be to waste a test a few days early.

What CD are you on sfxmum?

How are you Jael? Still holding out from testing? (this is the right thread isn't it?)

Anyone else out there feeling like me?
Gosh it's so hard.My only things making me more curious are what my hairdresser said (my hair did strange things when a colour was applied & she asked me if I could be pregnant as your hormones affect your hair in the first 3mths) and the other thing is I've been a lot more emotional than normal.I am an emotional person but I've never noticed it before when AF is due.

Oh I wish I could just jump to Friday, or sleep for 3 days, that would be nice too!

Congratulations Inni I've not 'chatted' to you before but really pleased for you. The metal taste is a good thing,a definite symptom.

Gateau · 26/08/2008 08:48

When is the earliest you can do a pg test? I have red somewhewre you can do one six days before AF is due. Mine is due on 4th Sept. Can anyone recommend one you can use really early?

Gateau · 26/08/2008 08:50

What does CD stand for, BTW?

Gateau · 26/08/2008 08:54

So I don't sound completely daft, I know CD means the day of your cycle, but just wanting to know exact meaning - ie cycle day, cycle date..I'm just pedantic.

sfxmum · 26/08/2008 09:21

good morning ladies

leaky am on CD28 of a usual 30 day cycle
the thing about early testing is that with some tests the reliability of results is a little over 50%
I can't do that to my head

Inni hang in there it will happen, like it has been said all pregnancies are different you might have ovulated later than you think

decided to wait for Thursday regardless of how I feel to be honest no symptoms and this morning it seem like I had a drop in temperature

Jael · 26/08/2008 09:53

I need some help...I did a test this morning at half 6 lol cuz I needed to pee, I've got an appointment at the hospital tomorrow for something else and I wanted to know for def before I went if I was pg or not. BFN came up almost straight away, under a minute,so i went back to sleep! Looked at it again at 8 oclock before throwing it in the bin and theres a faint line. I'm guessing it's an evaporation line, even though obviously I don't want it to be. It was a cheapie test if this makes a difference. I do feel pregnant, unless it's in my head. My boobs are huge even DP has noticed lol and I feel sick and tired ALL the time just like I did at the start with DD. I really want to be pregnant...

sfxmum · 26/08/2008 11:05

jael what does it say on the test? some say results only reliable up to a certain time after testing

sorry not much help just take it easy and test again in a couple of days?

bigtree · 26/08/2008 18:16

Hi all,
Hi Alfiemama..i have had terrible hot flushes on the medication, never had them before so it was a bit worrying at first thought my face was on fire!!They've gone now though..the main prob i had with them last month was the stomach pain but not had that this month so just keeping everything crossed..

Did it work quickly for you??

Jael i would test again in a couple of days, i am a compulsive pg test checker..when i've done one i'll always get it out the bin and check it a few hours later just in case i missed something and i have never seen a line,no evaporation line or anything so you could be pregnant. I've used all sorts of tests too and still not seen one. Will keep fingers crossed for you and for everyone else x x

bigtree · 26/08/2008 18:32

Sorry didn't answer your question alfiemama..
No i'm not been monitered, just given the prescription and told i'd get an appointment in the next 3 months to see doc again(i'm nearly at 3 months and still no appointment). Thats the NHS though i suppose!am hoping, praying i won't be needing that appointment though x
