(Teehee please forgive me getting over-excited, if you don't feel ready to graduate yet, please change it back, it's just that I was just reading a message from feedmenow over on knickercheckers, who was saying that the best piece of advice she can give anyone is not to let the fear of mc ruin even one second of pregnancy - you have a precious new life growing inside you, and that is a wonderful wonderful thing, and it deserves to be loved and appreciated the whole time - plus, not getting excited doesn't make it hurt any less if things go wrong. Am keeping everything crossed for you lovely )

teeheelaydee · 04/08/2008 20:41

OK - have climbed down off the ceiling and caught up with the thread and there is lots going on as usual.

kate Loving the new list - hope no-one minds if I just sit there for a little while, not sure if ready to be on the graduate list for a few days.
Fruity Glad the wedding went OK, I was thinking of you yesterday and hoped you weren't sitting in the corner nursing an orange juice. Sounds like a lovely day. I love a good wedding.
cricri A girl! A beautiful girl! I may have to knit you something as my BF had her 20wk scan today and she is having another boy - much harder to knit for
Ei Happy anniversary - fingers crossed for a BFP.

Big waves to everyone else

teeheelaydee · 04/08/2008 20:45

Kate You took the words right out of my mouth. Last time (no3) I was really downbeat, wouldn't get excited, kept thinking it doesn't mean anything and it was all to try and protect myself if anything went wrong. Made no difference when it did go wrong, still felt like my world crashed around my ears so this I am going to be excited and positive and enjoy it as much as possible for as long as possible. Plus I felt bad for the little bean that I had been so downbeat - we must honour them while we can.

Please all remind me of this post when I am in the depths of despair - thanks

cricri · 04/08/2008 20:51

Teehee I've just seen your news and I'm so pleased for you I've just read the post Kate referred to on Knickercheckers and it's just so true. Enjoy this pregnancy and we're all keeping our fingers crossed for a sticky bean for you.
BTW thanks for the offer of knitting something for my little girl - although you may now be able to start knitting for one of your own
Still no sign of Mollie or Yarnie

kate2179 · 04/08/2008 22:25

knitter-checkers anonymous??

teehee you're still allowed to have bad days, but I absolutely think that is the way to go if you possibly can. I remember thinking not long after my last bfp, before things started to go wrong, that I wouldn't want to fast forward my way through the pg even if I could because each day was important for my little bean, each day it gets bigger, stronger and more and more developed - it's truly amazing how quickly things start to happen, and I wanted to be there to support it through the whole experience.
Of course, it only look the merest hint of a brown wipe to lead me to start wishing away hours, days, weeks, preferably months! but I am sure 'Plan A' is the best one - anyway, unless someone has invented a time machine and not told us, we have to do it the traditional way, one day at a time, so we might as well try to do it positively! As I said earlier, everything is crossed (Poor DH !) xx

mibbes · 04/08/2008 22:36

teehee CONGRATS !! Lovely news, this is a super-lucky thread ! Well done for being so positive and enjoying the teeny life growing inside you

Sparkly defo test again tomorrow - everything crossed it is stretching pains not AF lurking xx

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 05/08/2008 00:40

oh my bloody god!!!! i turn my back for not even a day and weve had a BFP!!!!
HHHUUUUUUGGGEEEEE CONGRATS to TEEHEE!!!!! i am so happy for you hopefully i will be joining you this time next week and as kate says dont let the fear of MC ruin the preg you have i know i have 'the fear' and i am trying to shove it away so that i dont ruin my TTC efforts but it is hard and the best way to get through it is positive mental attitude, loads of support and a HUGE bar of hazlenut galaxy the last one can be replaced by the comfort food of your choice BTW another congrats from me
our anniversary turned out to be such a lovely night we had a lovely home cooked meal with some bubbly listening to our song (better man by james morrison) then cuddled on the couch and then went to bed all in all a lovely night
i hope everyone is doing well on this monday night/tuesday morning

Congrats Teehee, what great news Looks like you did have baby brain last week when you got confused with who was testing and who was already pregnant I can understand you being apprehensive, but love the wise words Kate put on here about staying postive.
Sounds like you had a wonderful anniversary Ei
Any news from Sparkly?
I've booked Billy Joel tickets for Dec and John Mellencamp/Sheryl Crow tickets for Nov, and not forgetting the dd's, Dora the Explorer tickets for September. Spent about $500 but nice to have some fun things to look forward to And the girls will love Dora, try to take them to one stage show a year, last year was Nemo on Ice.

Sparkly08 · 05/08/2008 07:36

BFP . It's faint though. Is this normal? I did a clearblue with FMU. I have weird feelings in my tummy (and I had 2 glasses of wine last night because I thought AF was lurking!!) OMG!

OMG Sparkly CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!

Of Course faint is normal - hold your wee for 5 hours and do one later and I bet it is a wee bit darker, or if you can wait do another tomorrow and it will be more obvious - go out and get a CBD so you can see the actual words I am sooooo happy for you hun !!! get your pregnant bum over to the Emmsy AN thread - does this make you due in April ? OOOOHHHHHH am soooooo excited

cricri · 05/08/2008 08:06

Sparkly Congratulations Wow, two BFPs in two days! I think Mibbes had a faint BFP which was then darker when she tested again on subsequent days. Test again tomorrow or Thursday maybe? Did you use CBD? I don't think it's anything to worry about in any case. Don't worry about the two glasses of wine either - it happens to lots of women. It's hardly an excessive amount in any case I'm so pleased for you!

cricri · 05/08/2008 08:07

Mibbes beat me to it
Definitely come over to our AN thread - it's been very quiet there of late
Fantastic news!

mibbes · 05/08/2008 08:08

I knew your rumblings were stretching pains !!! and I'm sure the beany enjoyed your last wine for a long time !!! Oh dear I can feel a non-productive day at work coming on !!

Sparkly08 · 05/08/2008 08:12

Thanks ladies. I'm worrying already!! DP can see that it's a + but doesn't want to get his hopes up too much. He keeps talking about how faint the line is. Think I may do a CB digi today or tomorrow but my temp seems to be confirming pregnancy too (and TMI I've also had really bad wind ).

mibbes · 05/08/2008 08:15

Sparkly just had a look at your chart and it looks like you may have had imp on 10dpo - due to triphasic rise (which is relatively late) which explains why do got BFN yesterday and only a faint BFP today. I was the same - I got BFP on 15dpo but it was only faint, it got darker later that day and each day after that (remember I tested HEAPS !) Oh and I read somewhere that the later imp happens the higher chance of successful PG

Sparkly08 · 05/08/2008 08:34

I just tested again with an ebay test and got another BFP, It's still faint but at least I've convinced myself that I'm not making it up. I've been trying to take pics but my camera doesn't pick it up. I'll hopefully post a pg picture tomorrow when I get a darker result.

FruitynNutty · 05/08/2008 08:49

Sparkly I've already spoken to you but OH* MY GOD* I'm still in shock for you I'm sooooo excited we're going to be preg buddies! I'll be able to come up and see you so we can compare our huge bumps BTW 2nd pregnancies show almost immediately I've discovered. My belly is huge already - yes I know I've eaten too much but my belly is relatively huge compared to the rest of my body We can be fat together

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S

Ps, dont worry about uni. You've wanted this for ever!

mibbes · 05/08/2008 09:06

Sparkly you are exactly the same as me - my DP was very cautious after the faint BFP too - he didn't grasp that a line is a line ! After the 2nd and 3rd batch of tests he finally believed it
It will take a wee while to sink in but you'll start to believe it soon enough - esp if you get a belly soon like Fruity says !
It is soooo exciting !!!!

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 05/08/2008 09:21

OMG OMG OMG sparkly im so happy and excited for you that is the best news!!! congratulations
two in a row eh?!! we are a lucky bunch
nothing much from me yet i dont know when i am due to test but im guessing its in a few days time. im also symptom spottin g like mad this cycle i feel sick and dizzy, headaches, heartburn, and i am shattered!! all this could be due to a n umber of things but i am hopeful it means a baby lol
i hope everyone else is ok

Wow Sparkly, that's great news
AF due tomorrow, trying very hard not to imagine any symptoms and at least I'll be at work tomorrow so can be distracted by that
Hello to everyone else

Sparkly08 · 05/08/2008 09:38

DP has gone out to buy a CB digi so he can see the result. I've got some wee upstairs so hopefully it will say the right word.
Ei I'm keeping my fingers so tightly crossed for you. I really hope this is your month. xx
Scully Anything from you lady? Are we going to have 3 in a row like last month?

Mollie and Yarnie Where are you both?

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 05/08/2008 09:42

i have just put todays temp into FF and it has finally given me dotty lines at 9dpo!! it is suggesting i test on cd29 so i should stock up i suppose then again i might just wait it out til cd36 if nothing by then i will test what day think?

Ei that chart is looking good Can you imagine if everyone gets there BFP's this cycle!

Yarnie · 05/08/2008 10:15

OMG BFPs! Sparkly and TeeHee! That's so unbelievably brilliant. Very very pleased for you both

I swear everytime I take a little break from MN, it all kicks off. Maybe I should go away more often .

Apologies for my absence everyone. DF had three wisdom teeth taken out, so he's had a couple of days off work. We've combined it with a ban on Blackberry/Internet/Television, etc. Just trying to get some quality time in before it's impossible(!)

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 05/08/2008 10:35

hi yarnie glad you are doing well i sometimes decide to have a break from MN/ingternet but it never usually lasts til the end of the night now we have our little laptop
thanks fruity i am trying not to get my hopes up too much just in case it all ends with the unwelcome appearance of AF well see i suppose
