New thread as requested (panic, panic) - hope the name will do?

Hi all

Good luck ceebee tody - hope all is well.

My prediction is for a boy for mjim. Will add my name next!

Well HC - as predicted - my temp rocketed this morning, indicating I ov'd yesterday (cd16). I feel we did all we could this month as we bd'd on cd 13, 14, 15 & 16 . So now it is DPO1 and the beginning of the 2ww...hold hands HC?

Can't stop - off to docs with dd. She needs antibiotics for her infected excema which has developed into impetigo - looking proper scabby at the moment!!

Hi guys,

Can I just ask, after an MC, what normally happens to your cycle. Does it generally fall back into the old cycle, so if I hadn't got PG I would have expected my next cycle from now to be 27th August (horrid 35 day cycles!!)? Or does it change completely and will arrive whenever it wants to and then be 5 weeks from then.

I know that everyone is different but I just wondered what the general answer is?

Bleeding from MC has completely stopped now so thought we'd make a lovely weekend of it this weekend. Maybe have a drink (I haven't had one for 6 weeks!!) and snuggle down with some nice DVDs and start BDing. Soooo isn't the right time yet but good to get into the 3 times a week routine!!

ChocolateEclair · 05/08/2008 15:08

dawn - IME it was a normal cycle but delayed by 10 days. Counting 1st day of MC as CD1.
Enjoy this weekend, it sounds lovely

Mandy73 · 05/08/2008 15:22

CE said >Mandy - have I read that correctly that you are NOT having a 10 week scan just the nuchal scan? How much does that cost? How is the queasiness today?

Fine thanks! Correct, they don't offer nuchal scans here (Oxford) so I'm having that + bloods for about £200. GP had the price list & phone number ready for me... The lady who did my emergency scan last week asked when my dating scan was booked (8 sept). I then said that I was going for the nuc. scan privately because of my age. She said: "Oh, then you should cancel the dating scan, you don't need both." DH & I didn't know and had initially thought it would be fun to have both to see the development progress in the two weeks but I don't want to OD on scans and then there's the hazzle of taking time off & waiting around the clinic.

PS: Yes I'm on the ante-natal for March - occasionally - the MCs are coming thick and fast and everyone is quite jumpy & queezy. It's huge so v hard to keep track of who's who.

PPS: Lots of hugs & good luck vibes Ceebee. xx

Dawn-I know I MC at 12 weeks but after the bleeding I seem to think that AF arrived several weeks later. First AF was normal then the 2nd one was 9 days late then got PG after the 3rd normal one. I didn't count CD1 until I got a proper AF. Enjoy your weekend-sounds a lovely plan.

Hey detox-time to freak chill out on the 2ww. You are DPO 1 and I am DPO 4. Have already grabbed your hand as I can't stand the not knowing.

Don't get nuchal scans here either. Would mean a trip to Leeds and lots of money so won't be having one of those.

Hello all, gosh you have been busy today

Not been on internet today as electrician been in drilling and putting in new lights for bathroom, so no power anywhere!! dd has had to go a day without cbeebies .

Ceebee - hope the appointment went well this afternoon fingers crossed xx

Dawn, no advice I'm afraid on the af/mc front as the three months after my ectopic passed in a blur and didn't really take much notice of it all.

HC & Detox & BB and all on the 2ww good luck xx

Mandy - I know it would be a bit a of a pain to sit around, but I would still go for the 10w scan too - but then I wouldn't have been able to wait.

I have still not joined any ante-natal threads - have enough trouble keeping up with our thread let alone joining another!!

Miserable day today as well, so have been playing endless games of snap, but also did some baking(gas cooker).

HC - you asked me to post my chart again today....www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2173bb

I have analysed it ok haven't I??

majormoo · 05/08/2008 17:44

Mnady sorry about double post-what I meant was if you are completely sure of dates then you may as well cancel dating scan, but not if there is any doubt

hope everyone else is well. I will go for boy for MJIM to even it out

ChocolateEclair · 05/08/2008 17:58

detox - whoa! impressive temp rise! That's pretty obvious I reckon!!!!!!

I will hold all your hands in the 2ww

Mandy73 · 05/08/2008 18:06

Thanks Majormoo, aaah, the penny's dropped now: That's probably why she said I wouldn't need the dating scan - as all the dates she asked me for matched the size of sack & embryo perfectly.

I'm aware there's quite a small window of opportunity for the nuchal and I understand Mr Impey (Oxford's super star OB or so I hear) is a stickler for doing them 12+5. So I should be able to work out the perfect day with his secretary. Just need to get there though - still a bit worried and have learnt not to take things for granted.

Have a nice evening all and special hugs for you now officially in the 2 week wait lunatic asylum. xx

Wow detox-that is a deffo OV rise. Am mightily impressed-so much better than mine Have you manually put in your OV day as that is what the blue crosshairs mean? If you leave it a couple of days it would confirm OV day itself.

Who else is in the 2ww besides me and detox? belgianbun and bluestar-what day are you two on?

detoxdiva · 05/08/2008 18:57

Wow - I feel strangly proud of my temp rise...here's hoping it's a good sign!

Yes, I did manually enter ov day - didn't realise it would do it itself . I'll go back in and take it out....don't want to meddle with it too much.

Can't believe it's only day 1 of the 2ww. Am I right in expecting my temp to stay pretty high? If it starts to fall then that's not good news

Who else is on the 2ww? Shall we have a stats update?

Oh Flirty Why have you lost hope? Sorry if you've already mentioned it and I've missed it, but do you think you've ov'd and missed it?

HumphreysCorner · 05/08/2008 19:07

That's better detox-takes a few days but just think, by the time it registers OV day you will already be 3 or 4 DPO like I was when it told me yesterday. Last month it took 4 days then altered it a few days later hence the dotted crosshairs on my previous chart.

Flirty-don't lose hope my lovely. {{xx}}

HC - I'm on CD15. I may have been OVing today, as I had a little bit of ovary ache around lunchtime, but it also could have been in my head...nowhere near as intense as last cycle! I'm waiting to see what happens with my temp over the next few days!! Hopefully I'll be 1DPO tomorrow!!

DD - I think your tep rise is looking great!! I want one that like tomorrow!!

Flirty - What's up hun?? Are you still concerned about the amount of BDing?

Thanks for hand holding CE and Mandy! The 2WW is the worst wait I have ever experienced! Way worse than waiting for any exam results! I genuinely can not think of anything it compares with!! I've quite enjoyed the last two weeks of freedom from symptom spotting!! Oh well...best go sort dinner out for DH!!
