Hello all, I gatecrashed a couple of days ago...thanks for the welcomes and good lucks...well, I couldn't resist and used up my ONLY test yesterday, at 13DPO, and...

BFP! In a state of bemused surprise.

Just thought you should know!

Good luck everyone else. x

GYo · 20/07/2008 09:25

MOrning

Hi Tink - thanks
Hi Mamafelix- congrats on the bfp

is this your first DC?

Cosmogirl · 20/07/2008 10:24

Morning all,

Did a First Response six days early test just now with FMU and got a faint line!!!! Am in shock! The other two tests I did last week there wasn't even the sniff of a line - completely white! Could only be 11 0r 13 dpo so really early. Will upload a pic to profile to see what you guys think. Ekkk!

Gyo - hope you are resting and sure everything will be OK.

Diege - lovely to hear from you x

Mamafelix - congrats!!!!

m0nkeynuts · 20/07/2008 10:27

Morning everyone!

GYo - hope you're doing ok! Just try to take it easy. My SIL bled quite a bit around the 5/6 week mark and her DS is 15 months old

mama - congrats on BFP!!

GYo · 20/07/2008 10:35

Hey Cosmo sounds promising. Looking forward to seeing your picture

Hey MNuts- thanks for story about your SIL. I am lapping up all positive pregnancy bleeding stories [grinning]

DH is coming home tonight- he is so worried bless him, guess he feels even more powerless than I do since he is so far away (with a dirty hangover to boot!)

Morning everyone else < waves> since Im on rest I will be lurking here most of the day

Cosmogirl · 20/07/2008 10:45

Diege · 20/07/2008 10:45

Morning Glad I helped a bit last night GYO - I really am convinced you'll be fine - bleeding 5/6 weeks is so common. Good that you are seeing dr's anyway tomorrow, for double reassurance.
COSMO, OMG that is wonderful news!!! A faint line is what you would expect so early, and unless it came up well after the alloted time I think congratulations are in order . Congrats too to MAMA - wow, think that must be a record for saying hello then getting BFP!!
Hi to everyone else, and hope you have as much sun as we have here! DH has suggested all going out to lunch which will be lovely, but a bit as feel a bit odd about going outside if that makes sense? I have to face work tomorrow though, so will be good practice.
Will pop back on later, diege xxx

Diege · 20/07/2008 10:48

Arghh!!! Says 'page not found' Cosmo!!!

Kalikaroo · 20/07/2008 10:51

Hi everyone

Sorry I've not been posting for the last few days - haven't had internet access.

For a bit of light relief, have any of you read this article? Paragraph 5 has me ROFL!! - I think the Times has gone a bit "daily mail-ish!"

women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/relationships/article4356233.ece

GYo · 20/07/2008 10:52

Hi Diege - I know what you mean about going outside, guess it makes things feel real, like life goes on etc. Maybe its good to see outside world before going back to work

I hope you have an enjoyable lunch though

Cosmo- thats definately a great picture and looks like mine when I tested 16dpo with nonFMU. Congrats

Keep us posted

sars87 · 20/07/2008 10:54

hi all, so good to here of so many pregnancies. Silly questions but I am new to all this can someone explain the abbrieviations to me like TTC ext ext??

Cosmogirl · 20/07/2008 10:57

Oh my god.....can't really get my head around this yet! So, maybe there was some truth in all my weird 'symptoms'! Wasn't even going to do the test then thought, why not. DH was with me and as I was still sitting on loo he was looking at the test...nothing...then he goes 'oh there looks like there's a faint line there'. I was like 'what?!!' because other two tests had been completely blank. Now the line seems quite dark.

Kalikaroo · 20/07/2008 11:01

Wow Cosmo ! That's sounding very promising!!

lardybump · 20/07/2008 11:29

Cosmo congratulations that is a BFP you dont get even a hint of a line otherwise..... Congratualations......

GYo · 20/07/2008 11:31

Hi Sars

Look at the - acronym list on MN

But some common ones here:

FMU is first morning urine
GOF good old f*cking (we dont baby dance on this thread )

wow there are so many not sure where to start - check the list and see how u go!

Cosmogirl · 20/07/2008 11:55

Welcome Sars - yes all the abbrev can be a bit confusing at first. I remember feeling the same way when I joined MN.

Thanks for the congrats guys. It all feels very surreal at the minute. Such early days too that I don't want to get excited or anything just yet. With regards to doctors etc....when are you supposed to tell them? Might do another first response tomorrow morning with FMU.

Here's some of my symptoms for anyone spotting:

Very hot all week - like hot flushes
Last three nights very vivid dreams, often involving babies and bfps
Oily skin
Boobs feel bigger - nipples larger and bumps around nipples too
Felt very bloated for a few days, which has gone down a bit. Generally feeling like I am 'expanding' if that makes sense
No PMT
Watery CM a few days after ovulation

Hope that might help someone. I have been googling symptoms like mad.

Ses15 · 20/07/2008 11:57

Morning all!

Congrats Cosmo and Mama

GYo - I think the others are right to reassure you but no harm in making sure you have a relaxing day!

Diege - going out for lunch may be a good thing. I know when I went back to work one of the things I found most difficult was the fact that everyone else was just getting on with things. I got really angry with the world for a couple of days (which is most unlike me!) Take it as it comes and don't beat yourself up for getting emotional and being up and down.

We've managed to squeeze in a GOF this morning so from the girl that's not really trying and has rellies arriving tomorrow for 10 days, I am now keeping my fingers crossed for the next couple of weeks. With 8 of us in our little 3 bed house I don't think there'll be much more GOFing though so first month of (not) ttc would be pretty miraculous!

Now off to sort our washing and beds and stuff!

GYo · 20/07/2008 13:18

Hi Ses I hope you enjoy your guests Great that you squeezed in a GOF. I quite like challenge of silent GOFing when we have guests

Gruffalo can you see/ hear the airshow from where you are?

Hope the studying isnt driving you mad.....

GruffaloSoldier · 20/07/2008 13:53

Congrats to Cosmo and Mama!

Hi Gyo,
Yes I can hear airshow! Not so much today but yesterday and in the week has been very loud! Not been interupting work too much though, have made good progress these last two days so will hopefully finish in time.

Sorry to hear of your worries Gyo, but I am sure it is implanatation like everyone else says. i have a book that says that pinkish CM is implantation so just relax and I'm sure you will be fine!

sars87 · 20/07/2008 14:43

that list is great, thanks.
xx

kookykid · 20/07/2008 14:56

CONGRATS on the BFPs Cosmo and Mama!!! Fab news.

Deige - hope work goes OK tomorrow - it might be good to take your mind off everything. Thinking of you.

GYo - I have my fingers crossed everything is well with your bean.

Welcome newbies! Sars - it took me quite a while to get used to the acronyms - if you're not sure just ask!!

Haven't been around much as brought our kittens home yesterday. Wondering about the wisdom of having a 16 month old DD and 2 teeny kittens in the house. They are so gorgeous though! Minnie is currently trying to chase her tail on the arm of the sofa and Beryl is climbing the fire-guard like a tiny furry commando!

GruffaloSoldier · 20/07/2008 17:33

Ok Gyo. I take it back, it is very noisy now! Just seen the red arrows
