hi Mamafelix - welcome and hope you can keep up with this thread! I can't most of the time it moves pretty fast As for cramping, I felt lots of pulling - almost sideways if that makes any sense, instead of usual AF achy-ness

2BG, I'm American too, and I've just gotten my citizenship/passport. Luckily I managed to do indefinite leave to remain before they added the Life in the UK test to that bit and put up the prices! I did have to take the test for citizenship though and also had to just pay the £655 But it's all done this end now, don't ever have to worry about immigration in the UK again! Now we just need to get DH his American citizenship

2beautifulgirls · 18/07/2008 09:00

Well the witch got me this morning! Onwards and upwards.

LBOT - Whereabouts are you from, DH is from Oregon and we are returning their next year hopefully. Just wanted to get his citizenship before doing so. Are you planning on returning anytime?

So nearly packed everything, just need to get it all in the car!!!

Welcome Mamafelix, Fingers crossed for your BFP soon. I would test 14 DPO or sooner

Or i don't get on agin before we dissappear, have a good weekend and fingers crossed for any testers.

Diege · 18/07/2008 09:22

Hello . Just popping on quickly as dh is on manic nurse duties and has prescribed bed rest! All went fine yesterday, although because of a hosptial audit all ops were cancelled in morning so had to wait till mid-afternoon (they had to put me on a glucose drip as I was so weak from fasting, the shame ) In the end, because it was so late they did the op on the labour ward instead of gynae, which they thought I might be upset about but tbh I really didn't mind. Very sore and of cause still very shaky emotions-wise. One thing I didn't know is that apparently new research indicates waiting 6 months before trying again? I'd sort of hoped I could wait till next af then ttc, so will try and locate report and see what it says. Not the end of the world if a 6 months wait I suppose.
Thanks again for all your good wishes over the last few days, they mean a lot
Sorry about af 3bg, but you seem to be taking it in your stride .
Will try and pop in during next few days, diege xxx

Diege · 18/07/2008 09:28

Sorry, 2bg not 3! Maybe a prophetic moment there

calsworld · 18/07/2008 09:31

Just popping on quickly before our camping trip, sending you Diege, reading the report seems like a good plan, would be interesting to know what it says. Sounds like your DH is doing a good job, a manly pat on the back from me for looking after you .

I really am signing off this time as got a few bits of packing left to do. I'm still very very excited about the campervan! .

Have a good weekend, sorry for AF 2bg, mine still hasn't turned up and am keeping everything crossed!

Cal, x

GruffaloSoldier · 18/07/2008 09:37

Hi Diege,

Good to hear from you. Im not sure if this is useful info but thought I would say my sis waited 3 months after mc and went onto have a beautiful healthy daughter. There might be psychological issues aswell in some cases maybe thats why so long? I would be interested to see what you read from the research. Anyway - keep resting!

Cals- have a great time in the campervan - I'm sure you will!

Its a shame my camping was cancelled but dissertation is more important I guess.

pophas2beans · 18/07/2008 09:52

Hi all, thought I would pop in and say hi.I've decided to update my name. I've got some scan pictures from my 10 week scan so will try to figure out how to put them on here.

I had a quick speed read of the posts but will go back and catch up properly in a minute. I hope everyone is doing well and that we have some more BFP's.

Sorry to hear about your dog Cal. I've got a persian cat and I while ago I was cutting matts out of him and cut straight through his skin with the scissors. My friend who is a vets nurse had to come over and glue him back together. I felt so gulity.

Diege, I had a quick flick and saw your news. I'm so sorry sweetie. I know what you are going through. I'm thinking of you at this time.

Playingthe9monthwait · 18/07/2008 10:01

Morning all,

Deige - glad it went as well as can be expected. We are all still thinking of you.

2beautiful - sorry about AF.

umm, can't remebmer what else I wanted to say, is it too early to balme pg brain or is it simply the fact that I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open!

pophas2beans · 18/07/2008 10:12

OK - pics are on.

lastboxoftampons · 18/07/2008 10:15

Diege Glad everything went well yesterday. We're all thinking of you. Take care of yourself (and let your DH spoil you!)

Hi Pop love the new name - would love to see yuor scan pics!

2BG I'm from New York - I met DH when he was working there and we were together for about 2 1/2 years before he had to move back to the UK. We dated long distance for about 4 months or so before we decided we would 'just get married' but it was about 10 months more before we got it together - we were waiting to see what would be the best prospect for a job for him - which turned out to be London. I've been here 4 1/2 years now. Yes, we do plan on going back to New York soon-ish, I hope. It sort of depends on TTC, really. Planning on getting pregnant, applying for his visa about half way through and then being on maternity leave while he looks for a job in the States. London's lovely it really just has to do with being close to my family (especially when we have children!) Although we do feel that we'll always be back and forth between London and New York, so the plan is to hold on to our flat here and hopefully have a place in New York too. sorry that was so long! How about you?

glaskham · 18/07/2008 10:47

Diege- glad all went as well as possible! My thoughts are with you!!

Hi Everyone
Its friday! !!

Been a bit quiet recently due to work and also busy doing evening stuff. So need to do a catch up but Im glad to see that Diege is ok, given circumstances.

Im 5 wks +1 today. Not feeling very preg, except for boobs being bit sore. and very mild nausea every now and then. when did other people start feeling sick?

Hope the TTCers dont mind me posting this here. Nicer here than on the other threads (feel the wagon love....)

daisyj · 18/07/2008 13:46

Hi everyone. Sorry for crashing, but just wanted to say hi to lbot - haven't seen you for ages - so this is where you've been hiding! I can't keep up with any more threads - this one goes even faster than the ones I'm on already. I'm cd28 today and trying to resist testing. Good luck for BFPs everyone
x

lastboxoftampons · 18/07/2008 14:24

Hi Daisy I'm not hiding out here so much - I could barely keep up with these ladies! I've not been good about visiting the avengers though as it sometimes makes me sad even though it's not meant to. I've been trying to put it all behind me, but even jsut this morning I got all teary when something made me think of it. Anyway...CD28 huh???? and what are your signs/symptoms??

Pop Your babies are adorable!

babytime · 18/07/2008 14:29

Hello everyone

GYo - dont be silly, you're are not out of the gang because your your pregnant. Its nice to keep together the whole way.

I did not feeling anything at all until at least 8 weeks with dd1, dd2 lots of symptoms from 4 weeks but bigtime ms from 6 weeks to 16 weeks - yikes!

First pregnancy was only about 11am each day and after I had a snack it went.

Dont worry about not feeling much at this stage - its very normal

2beautifulgirls - sorry about af but try and prepare for your next sex mararthon I am gearing my dh up for next week. Its the fun part

Welcome mama, daisyj and anyone else joinging this thread. It does go fast!!!

Pop - going to check your scans out now!

babytime · 18/07/2008 14:32

Diege -

Glad to hear you are home, safe and well.

Make sure you get plenty of tlc not just for today but for a couple of weeks at least.

You have been through alot and need it.

My friend was also told 6 months to wait but like someone else said its probably to allow you time to heal emotionally too. But i guess if after a couple of months you feel ready then I cant see why not. I guess it also depends on how far you were.

Maybe you should start another thread to hear other peoples experiences? I would wish I could advise you on it but I dont know enough about it.

Big hugs to you x

babytime · 18/07/2008 14:37

Pop - great pics!!!!!!!

Dont you wish you could sit there all day and watch your little babies moving around?

The scans are always too quick for me.

Its great if you get a nice person doing it who takes their time with you.

Its so amazing to think you have TWO little ones in there, one asleep and the other playing - so sweet

Playingthe9monthwait · 18/07/2008 14:46

Afternoon.

Love the scan pics Pop.

GYo, can't say I have tons of pg symptoms and I'm 7 weeks. My Boobs are still sore and I am so tired but thats about it, the odd bits of nausea but not much (am working on eating little and often which def helps)oh and I got heartburn for the first time last night and got rather excited . TBH, if I didn't know I was pg I would think I was ill/coming down with something, basically cos I feel so drained of energy but not much else, I can't say I actually feel pg, just not right. Waiting for it all to kick off, I was expected MS by now but there's still time

Oh and I also second bring on the weekend

tinkisagracefulshamu · 18/07/2008 15:38

lardybump · 18/07/2008 16:30

evening everyone.

Diege I am so glad everything went ok. I hope you feel well enough to join us again soon..

daisyj · 18/07/2008 16:38

lbot - signs and symptoms are in my head, I think! Thought I might have had implantation cramping but then decided it was just wind I know what you mean about the avengers. They are so lovely, but sometimes do feel so reading the stories. It's perked up a bit recently, though . See you soon, hon. Throwing babydust atcha!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 18/07/2008 16:47

Diege, I don't know what to say sweetie, just wishing you lots of love and hope you're not feeling too bad physically. Have another wrinkly bath tonight, flop about for as long as you need, don't feel like you have to do what you were doing before, you need time to get over this. I think the 6 months thing is there for healing emotionally more than anything, if it had have been much later on then I think it is wiser to wait a little while. Always here (or on email whenever you want) xxx

Pop, lovely pictures

Tink, hope it is with you tomorrow. I have to admit the telly is always on in this house, mainly with no one watching it, or just on music channels, or on the Wii....

I think you have to pace the playing about while pregnant, it is bloody hard work to keep it going all the time, and you need your rest! I tend to get DS1 off to school, come home, play with DS2 till In the Night Garden comes on, (he is in love with Upsy Daisy, awwwww ) we watch it together while he winds down for his nap, he sleeps till around 1 o'clock normally, then it is lunch and picking up DS1, then we all play, or if I'm knackered they play together while I MN Then it's dinner, DH home, and play bed time routine and bed time. Suppose it will change a bit now DS1 is home...

I have had a lovely day today with dd. We went to her toddler group and then out to lunch and she has been so cute and loving. She keeps pulling my top up and kissing my belly. I think it is because it is sticking out now where as before it was quiet flat. There is no way she could guess about the baby she is only 16 months.

Ses15 · 18/07/2008 17:53

Hi all! So much to catch up on!

LB - that is such a cute picture you have given of your DD kissing your belly. Gave me a lovely warm fuzzy feeling!

2BG - sorry for AF Hopefully Diege's prediction will come true soon though!

Diege - hope you're doing ok. The delay at the hospital must have been frustrating but it sounds like you coped remarkably well. As someone else said, if you see that report could you share it?

Pop - thank you for posting your piccies - love them!

Cal - enjoy campervan and your trip!

GYo - please do keep posting! As a ttcer it's still good to hear from all those who are pg. I'm hoping to pick up info from you guys for when it's finally my turn and also good to hear how you're going.

Glaskham - sorry your DD is under the weather after her jabs. I'd give her some paracetamol and see how she is in 24hrs but I'm sure she'll soon be back to her usual self!

Hope everyone else has a good wkend. We have someone else viewing the house again tomorrow so yet another reason to do the housework Hopefully it will pay off one of these days and we'll get a decent offer!
