NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/07/2008 17:18

That's it exactly LB, even when we go on holiday we learn to say at least the basics, IMO it is just polite. My sister has learnt very basic Italian just to be able to talk to his grand parents, I wouldn't have done, not for their sakes.

Have reached new lows here, not only are the kids having a chippy tea but the shop is only a 5 minute walk away and I am having it delivered! LOL How lazy am I?

OP posts:
lardybump · 17/07/2008 17:24

Wow fish and chips delivered... I wish I lived where you are...... Me and dp were talking the other day. We never eat Mcdonalds but both really fancied a burger... We were saying if they delivered they would make a killing but they just are not worth going into town for!!!!

Not lazy at all NJ just up the duff...

lardybump · 17/07/2008 17:25

I cooked spag bog tonight. It was lovely but I am still hungry... Fat pig alert...

GruffaloSoldier · 17/07/2008 17:28

Hello everyone!

Sorry for BFNs, I had another too this morning I think I might have to reside myself to the fact that I may be one of those people whose cycle takes ages to return

I didn't make my deadline today either, despite attempts so am so tired! My supervisor said Monday is fine though. Was in a quandry as to whether to still go camping or not but just got a text saying everyone has bailed because of the rain anyway!!(so at least I won't miss out

Anyway, sorry to hear that you are being called names NJ, for the record I don't think that is racist either!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/07/2008 17:40

We've said that about McDonalds before, though I think it is probably a very good thing, I can barely resist their fries as it is, if they delivered, I'd be looking like a packet of fries by now!

Sorry for BFN Gruff T'isn't over yet though!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain - not racist at all, that woman needs to be thought the difference.

We have a neighbour who is a really old korean man. I feel so sorry for him because he looks so lonely. When I see him outside I always say hi but he cant even say hello in English, he tries which is really sweet. His family come visit him and they all look like they have a bit if money because i know his daughter bought the house for him.

Its a shame he cant just go on a basic English course it would really improve his quality of life.

Cosmogirl · 17/07/2008 17:51

Hi everyone, please stop talking about chips and McDonalds - you are making me really hungry! Well I am a complete twerp and tested today too....[what is wrong with me!?] BFN of course.....My stomach is ridiculously bloated, if I poke it out I look about 4 months pregnant, and normally it is pretty flat-ish ....Have no idea what my body is doing but think I might have to ask DH to confiscate the tests before I waste any more!

Evenin' sorry you missed deadline gruff, you were trying so haed! Glad its not a problem though.

Managed to finish off my budget by about 5.15 so have submitted it - am on holiday now! Yay! Honestly, you'd think i'd booked a fortnight not a day!!

NJ, what you've described is not at all racist in my books, I get ruffled by the same thing.

I'm starving, wonder what junk nutritious meal we can cococt tonight?

Best go, need to feed DS, xx

tinkhasagorgeousbean · 17/07/2008 18:12

lardybump · 17/07/2008 18:19

Nat I am just a little addicted to their double cheese burgers at the moment. (um and yes I am the one moaning about my weight gain..) I have avoided town all week....

Sorry for bfn cosmo and gruf but it aint over yet.....

2beautifulgirls · 17/07/2008 18:23

We have just devoured a chippy tea!!! i had a donor wrap. Still aching and feeel like i could kill someone, the witch is definately hiding around the corner.

My DH is American and has just had to take a 'life in the uk' test today, which he passed. (good job as it costs £34.00 a pop) Now he can apply for his indefinate leave to remain visa, which costs are you ready for it..... A whooping £750!!!!! ~Then once he has that he can apply for citizenship which is only another £655.
We are scrimping and saving every last penny at the moment to afford everything.

calsworld · 17/07/2008 18:55

2bg - I think I feel the same as you this evening, I've got lots of tummy cramps this evening, and really do feel, despite my somewhat magnificent list of 'symptoms' for the month, that AF is indeed lurking around the corner and that I'll be very grateful for the privacy of my campervan this weekend .

I've got so much to do to get ready for tomorrow that I won't be on again this evening - so wanted to say a final good luck to all those testing over the next few days! Hopefully there will be lots of lovely BFP's (or even just one will do) by the time I return.

Diege, if you do check in, I hope today went OK and that you're doing as well as you can .

Cal, x

lardybump · 17/07/2008 19:00

Night cals have a lovely break...

Cosmogirl · 17/07/2008 19:15

Yep, have a great time Cal. Hope we do get some BFPs this month - we are definitely due some soon.

lardybump · 17/07/2008 19:23

Right ladies I am off now so will speak to you all tomorrow..

Night night.

kookykid · 17/07/2008 19:24

Evening.

Diege, am SO sorry about your news. Hope today wasn't too awful, though imagine it would've been. You are in my thoughts.

I am back from London and absolutely knackered! Had a great time and feel like I've had a holiday. One of my old NCT friends is pregnant, and although am really truly delighted for her it's hard not to be a teeny bit jealous - specially as they only doinked twice!

Cal - have a great time! Hope AF stays away! Was hoping to see a BFP from you!

mamafelix · 17/07/2008 20:01

On the advice of monkeybumsmum I'm re-posting on this thread...sorry if I'm gatecrashing!!

I'm 11 DPO (if my CBFM was correct) and am desperately trying to spot symptoms, but can't really find any! It's my first month charting to TTC after giving birth to my first last Aug. I have always had long irregular periods but it never bothered me until now when I want a second baby (the first was accidental and I didn't notice till about 8 weeks).

I took Clomid days 2-6 as I haven't been ovulating lately, I don't think. Got two peaks on the FM on 5/6 July and my temps are looking good so far, so here's hoping!

Only have one test so can't go wasting it (am in Africa)...

Just wondered what people mean by 'cramping'? Normally with my af I get a lot of pain, but in the last few days I've had a couple of stitch-like moments in the uterine area! I've never had that before and just wondered if that's what cramping means. Maybe it's a sign! Or more likely I'm just getting ready for a huge and gastly witch to come along...

FF says I should test on 25 July which seems rather far off? What do you think? Should I wait 18 days or do it 14DPO?

Good luck to everyone else!
x

P.S. Who are 'wagoners' and what do they do??? (does this question exclude me from the thread??)

Starshinetiger · 17/07/2008 20:19

Hey Mamafelix - welcome! We are the wagoners - comes from a now long and distant thread. This thread started when most of us were waiting to TTC, rather than actually TTC. As people started TTC before the date they had predicted, we called it "falling off the wagon". Hence we designed our lovely comfy wagon for those waiting to TTC, with a sunbathers roof for those tempted to fall of the wagon - as you can see, we all spend far too much time on here !

The only rule is nothing is TMI!

Nosiness alert - how come you're in Africa?

Diege - thinking of you today.

2bg and Cals - sorry to hear about cramps, but I've had those consistently as well and still no AF at 6 days past its normal due date.

Right - DH has just cooked pasta special, so off to laze in front of tv - loooong day at work today and I am v. tired.

babytime · 17/07/2008 20:36

Buenos Noches

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 18/07/2008 06:49

Morning all

Diege shouldn't imagine you are, but if you are lurking, I think I can speak for us all, we are all thinking of you, and sending you our love sweetie, I hope you are managing to get some rest and support xxx

Hi and welcome Mama, Star has put you in the picture I see Cramping can be anything from pre-period pain, to stitches, or that bloated crampiness you get, even just sore muscle cramps. It is all about your uterus growing/changing shape, your tummy muscles relaxing a bit, other things going on.

You shouldn't have to wait till 18DPO, with a normal cycle you'd normally have a rough idea of how long your LP is, and could test towards the end of it, but since you won't know that, I'd say going off an LP of 14 days was probably a good idea, if you can wait that long!

Morning everyone else Bloody raining again T'is DS1's last day today, he finishes just after lunch, so will be my last morning of MN almost uninterupted for a while!
