Good plan Ses I am imagining the type of field where people are fanning us and feeding us grapes....

Pic is very cool GYo. Have you got it pinned to your fridge at home?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 06/08/2008 09:52

Morning all fielders (I can dream can't I?)

Ses, marmite on toast sounds gooooood! Wish I'd have thought of it before I tucked into my cornflakes this morning! Party went very well thanks, except the cake caught fire (still LMAO at it sat there burning away), but it was good

Glask fingers crossed for you (and everyone obviously), it is sounding good

2beautifulgirls · 06/08/2008 11:09

Morning all.

Field is sounding very attractive right now, might just hop on over with my picnic rug

GYO- great pic, is it starting to feel more real now?

Ses- sorry your feeling like crap, i'm sure the marmite on toast will help, plus the extra strong painkillers.

Glask - sorry i know nothing about temps, but fingers crossed for you. Do you think you will last until Monday

NJ - Glad the party went well, was DH surprised?

I am trying to get motivated to move out of the house, we are dressed well nearly all of us DD1 still in pjs. I hate this weather it, all i want to do is stay in bed all snuggly and warm. Going to visit my friend tomorrow on the train, about 2 hours away, really looking forward to the gossiping catching up.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 06/08/2008 11:15

Hiya 2BG, am with you on the weather front (ha ha, no pun intended!!) it is grey miserable and spontaniously chucking it down every now and then

DH wasn't overly surprised, he'd seen his mums car! LOL Oh well, it was good anyway! He didn't know anything about it till he was driving up the street, so we did quite well considering DS1 has been bursting to tell him since he came up with the idea!

GYo · 06/08/2008 11:40

NJ- glad the party went well. I nearly properly laughed out loud in my meeting when I read about the cake catching fire

The field is sounding great. please share the cocktails NJ!

May I swap my picnic blanket for a large kingsize bed and duvet... could really really do with a sleep today.

Hi 2BG- yes does feel real now. Told mother and sister. Sister already wanting to buy baby items!

Hi Ses- sorry you are feeling poorly. I am faxing hotwater bottle, duvet, painkillers and a very attractive younng man to make your marmite on toast.....

kookykid · 06/08/2008 12:03

Hi everyone,

Imagine my snigger when I drove past a lorry with this on the side this morning!!! Hee hee!

Can we have some luxury throws and cushions to lounge on in our field and maybe one of those massive teepee things? Bliss!

I am not going to be around much for a while as we are off to the ILs for about 10 days. It is DH's granny's funeral tomorrow so we are driving up after bath and story tonight. Not looking forward to the journey with the kittens. Ho hum never mind. I will let you know the result when I test on the 13th of course!

Have a good few days. MUST go and pack!

kookykid · 06/08/2008 12:05

PS Good luck Glask and Gruff for the 11th (and any one else due to test) - will be trying to use PIL's very very slow internet connection to check on the results!

GYo · 06/08/2008 12:23

Ah KK thats hilarious. Made my day.

Hope the trip goes ok and the funeral all goes as well as it can.

"see" you back here soon.

SesQal · 06/08/2008 13:22

hi! Feeling a bit better. Thanks for all your positive vibes. Headache just about gone but still lurking so do send that bloke over with the painkillers GYo ;)

Kooky - hope journey goes ok. I guess from your post that you're taking the kittens with you? Good luck for testing!

Right - how about a nice picnic lunch in this field then?

calsworld · 06/08/2008 13:53

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been AWOL, been manic here with DH and FIL working really hard on the drive, which is now finished and looks great! We are no longer bringing down the tone of the neighbourhood .

DS is much better, he's very very very clingy, in fact have been calling him 'limpet' for the last couple of days as he's been a bit of a pain - also won't accept his dad when upset at night etc either which has made it doubly hard for me, but the spots have nearly all scabbed over, just a few on his feet left to go. I'm hoping to be able to get him into nursery on Friday for a little while just to break him back into it before next week, as think it will come as a shock otherwise!

Also, I've (finally!) had an email from Kay, she said to send her love to everyone and that she's missing you all. She's well and so is bump, she's had her twenty week scan and all on schedule . She's still got internet connection problems but hopes to sort it out soon.

Right, I've got to scoot as DS is having a nap (without me for the first time this week!) so I need to get a few jobs done, I'll probably be back properly next week when I'm back to work.

Oh, and good news, I had my consultation this morning at the hospital re my tonsills and they've agreed to take them out as soon as i'm up to it after having the baby! YAY!

I expect work will be pleased too as I'll be doing it whilst on maternity leave.

Right - got to go - and sorry I haven't read all your posts - I'll have to have someone do me a catch up post on Monday!

Take care,
C

GYo · 06/08/2008 13:53

Will send him over when he has finished tending to my needs- currently plumping pillows for me

I WISH!

makingafamily · 06/08/2008 15:14

Hey all

I found this site as it has a gay parents section but thats a bit quiet and saw this thread and was wondering if i could get added and say hello!! Since we started talking about TTC i feel like its taken over my life and my brain has turned to baby mush so its good to know im not the only one

Myself are DP are TTC starting next month with our best friends, a gay male couple. We are going to be a 2 mum 2 dad family.

Thanks

Oh, and im 30

Teuch · 06/08/2008 15:15

Just swinging by to say hallo, hallo!

Haven't a snowball's chance in hell of catching up so if someone can be bothered summarising I'd be very grateful!!

Someone thinking of a new thread title then?...

GYo · 06/08/2008 16:44

Hi Teuch
Welcome back. Re a summary- hmm not sure how long youve been away but the TTC list is shrinking right down. Last two BFPs were Cals and Cosmo. The list is somewhere or other on the thread. Other than that the wagoners are spending the summer relaxing in a(Cosmo's) field in the sun sipping cocktails (NJ) and being tended to by an atttactive young man - we've also all gone mad

What have you been up to? I've no idea about a new thread title but it might have to mention the field.

Welcome Makingafamily this is a great thread and no information is TMI -
2Mum, 2Dad family sounds great idea to me!

glaskham · 06/08/2008 16:50

afternoon!! I've just finished preping my spag bol for tea so its sat simmering.... stole the pc off DH to have a peek on here!!

Took the kids to a jungle jims/softplay place today and it was ace!! cheaper than our usual place, quieter and better!!! Hoping to do DS's 4th bday there in Dec.

ses- yes i did say my mums 40th.... sorry for making you feel old!! but on a better note at least you wont be a granny at 37 like she was!!

2bg- yes i will have to hold off till monday as DH is off- he would give me the look if i tested early!! If it was a BFN he'd just say to me ''well thats what we expect with testing early anyway''.... and if any sign of BFP he'll be too sensible and not get exited too soon!!.... So i cant face it and will test on monday- it'll come round in no time the way this week is flying!! tomorrow is thursday so i only need to last 4 more days!!!...... oooh that means that tomorrow am is the first day a BFP would show... and i have 25miu tests

glaskham · 06/08/2008 16:52

welcome to the wagon makingafamily.... sounds very exiting for you!! wish you lots of luck and hope to see you around on here more!!
