Hi all.

Cd21 here and still o massive temp rise. OPKs were positive three days running, and had EWCM - not done one today as CM no longer EW type. But no temp rise, so FF obviously hasn't plotted OV for me this month. Hmmm....

Some good news though - I got a job interviews for an Advisor's job at the prison It's next Wednesday.

about BFN sparkly. Nightmare.

LOL munnzieb - hope next 2 months go quickly for you.

Hulababy · 17/02/2005 18:01

JM - when are you going to test?

Moomin · 17/02/2005 19:38

Hulababy - congrats on the job interview. been watching your progress since leaving teaching with interest. i'm a teacher too and this time last year was dead-set on leaving but things have picked up a bit since then. my school does sound tonnes more supportive than your old school though, thank goodness.

minnie - cycle is usually 28 days but it did go a bit skewiff when i took clomid in the summer; made me a bit late the 2 months i took it. it may still be having some influence as my consultant says i'm hypersensitive to it and it was still in my system a few months later. well that's what i'm telling myself anyway as i can't allow myself the luxury of thinking i might finally be pg. keep getting womb-y twinges but not like the usual cramps. knockers still very sore. how long do you have sore boobs for, minnie and how sore? sore when you touch/press them sore or really painful when you take your bra off sore? sorry if i sound mad! first iui/ivf appt is on 3rd march.

jessicasmummy - sounds promising; i hope it's your month x

jessicasmummy · 17/02/2005 19:53

dunno when ill test - a bit skint at the moment so cant afford one! sure ill find the money and time at some point - near the end of the month i would think!

OP posts:
Moomin · 17/02/2005 20:03

get yourself down to poundland! guess how much they are?

jessicasmummy · 17/02/2005 20:04

a pound??? aint got one here anyway - all ive got is a boots! I aint got a tenner to spend to be honest...so ashamed admitting it on here

OP posts:
Moomin · 17/02/2005 20:21

don't be ashamed! the thing is, if you are pg, you'll know soon enough anyway.

I'm going to leave it and leave it. the only way i'll know i'm pg is if someone else tells me (e.g. a doctor after a blood test) because 1) i don't have the guts to do any more pg tests 2) by the time i get round to going to the doc's i'm hoping it'll be pretty obvious. i was toying with the idea of doing one tonight as it's dh's b'day tomorrow, but that would only be lovely if it's pos, which i can't imagine it will be.
good luck anyway x

jessicasmummy · 17/02/2005 20:22

thanks moomin, you too. why not see anyway, if u have a test sitting there, use it! I know i wouldnt be able to hold off if i had a test in the house!

OP posts:
Hulababy · 17/02/2005 20:29

Good luck for rest of year then Moomin. Glad you have a supportive school - it can make all the difference! I am finding the prison much less stressful. I finish school at Easter and will do more prison work after that (or more hopefully - this job)!

Hulababy · 17/02/2005 20:32

I have a couple of those Medicare(??? or whatever - the ones they use in GPs) pg tests that you can have if you like JM. If you CAT me your address I can put them in the post. I have about 5 or 6, plus a digital pg test - so can definitely spare a couple to send you. I have never used one so no idea how good they are. I do use the OPKs though and they seem good. Let me know.

MINNIE1 · 17/02/2005 21:27

Am joining this thread a bit late am afraid but am v chuffed today as i have seen gynaecologist who has at long last prescribed clomid to help me conceive as i have PCO. I have conceived naturally before but 18 months so far and no joy!! Anyone any experience of clomid? would love to hear any stories!!Anyway am quietly hopeful !!xx

Moomin · 17/02/2005 22:18

minnie - yes that's how mine are usually but this month they're something else! they almost fell out of the top i wore out to lunch today (which would be sexy and alluring if they didn't have blue veins on them!) i'm having to brace myself to take my bra off and when i bend down to take socks off, they're swinging about and it's agony!

jm - i haven't any tests in the house, thank god or i would be an absolute nervous wreck. the amount of times i've thought i was pg but told myself off for even thinking of testing, then i go to the loo and, whaddayouknow, i've whipped it out of the packet and wee'd on it before i can even answer myself back. i tell you, it's a definite kind of madness!

i've been getting a bit more of the womb-y pain tonight wheh i was downstairs. every time o go to the loo i'm having to psyche myself up to wipe, expecting a smudge of brown or whatever - sorry, tmi! will try to put it out of my mind as much as poss and try to enjoy dh's b'day tomorrow. out for the day in Stratford with a lovely big riverside lunch - yum.

jessicasmummy · 17/02/2005 22:20

i just cant believe af hasnt turned up yet - dont know if it is an effect of stopping the pill, stress from the impending move or the fact im on iron tablets?!

OP posts:
Moomin · 17/02/2005 22:24

hi laylas mum. here are some previous threads about clomid, here , here and here .
i'm probably not the best person to talk about it as i had a bit of a mare with it, but plenty of other people have taken it with few probs and with a fair bit of success.

Moomin · 17/02/2005 22:25

yes, jm, know what you mean. i keep thinking i'm staving it off with the stress of wondering if i'm coming on or not!

Moomin · 17/02/2005 22:38

this is how mad i am - i'm now doubly convinced i'm NOT pg. have re-read a thread i started in august when i was convinced i was pg because i was 1 day late. did a test which was neg but af didn't arrive until day 32. now think my body is having one last laugh at me before the ivf, as this was our last chance to conceive 'naturally'. hence the unbearable boobs and the late af.

HunkerMunker · 17/02/2005 22:41

Hi Laylasmum - yes, I have experience of clomid (wondering if I'll need it again this time round too).

I have endometriosis and PCOS (had a burst cyst the month before I conceived DS last year).

I took one course of clomid, had follicle tracking, saw one egg and the scan lady thought I didn't have much chance. But that big fat egg was destined to be DS! So it worked really well for us - hope that's the kind of story you wanted to hear

I'm still feeding DS, so not sure if I can take clomid (if I need it...ooh, conceiving totally naturally, that's not really something I think I can do!). Does anyone know?

Elf1981 · 17/02/2005 23:54

Hi All.

Absolutley knackered. DH just been called out and I struggle to get settled when he isn't here. Trying to tire myself out the net before heading to bed.

Went to Doc appointment today. Well, to see the Nurse. Medical was a bit basic - she asked my height rather than measuring, took blood pressure and weighed me, and that was it. Bit annoyed as told her I was pg, she told me I'd have to get my name on the list to see midwife and should have told reception when I first booked nurses appointment. Explained I did tell recpt and they said I'd have to wait to see the nurse.

So no my name is on a list as long as your arm, and I've got to wait until who knows when for midwife to call me to book an appointment.

Had a little pain in my side today - nothing major, just hurt a little, but think it was because I needed the loo, as no pain now. Must admit, DH was a bit worried and drove home like a nutter to get me to the loo (I wasn't desperate!) to see if that was the problem, or else he'd take me to hospital. Honestly!!

Was slightly worried myself. No pain now, assume I am okay. Read that eptopic pregnancies usually have symptoms of pain in side & bleeding. Will keep my eye on it tonight / tomorrow and see how it goes.

Good luck everybody, here's hoping your AF's have been banished for the next 9 months.

jessicasmummy · 18/02/2005 08:16

Morning people!!!

Still no AF, cd32.... never EVER had a cycle this long, but just no signs of pg.

How is everyone else doing?

MUNNZIEB - did your af arrive yet??? I know the test was neg but didnt know if there was still a chance?

OP posts:
Hulababy · 18/02/2005 08:21
