Here we go again ladies!!!

OP posts:
romilly · 16/02/2005 16:01

feel a bit of a thread-crasher as i've only lurked on here a couple of times but you seem a friendly enough bunch - wondered if anyone can help me with a persona question pleeease?

is it normal to get two days of the 0? i know this is probably a real divvy super-thick question but i've only just started using it so am pretty clueless.

ernest · 16/02/2005 16:18

I always have 'o' for 2 days romilly

MINNIE1 · 16/02/2005 16:23

romilly,
I only started this month and i got the 2 days of "O" wishing you all the best with it.. I remember you from previous threads so your not a tread-crasher.. Best of luck hon...

romilly · 16/02/2005 17:01

thanks ernest and minnie - so basically its best to bd like rabbits a few days before and during your two 0 days then, right? its just i had a lovers tiff with d/h bang on 0 days (yeah, nicely done!) so only managed to bd day after red day when we had made up - hence, obsessing now about did i screw it all up!!!

ernest · 16/02/2005 18:10

as discussed before, the little spermies are determined wee things and live for up to5 days, so as long as you bd'd even a couple of days before 'o' you should still be ok.

Hulababy · 16/02/2005 18:35

Iall; not read up today - will catch up soon!

CD20 for me, and a 3rd positive OPK - is that normal? No rise in temp yet though, seems very later for me this month.

Elf1981 · 16/02/2005 18:44

Evening all.

Got appointment with nurse tomorrow. How daft is this - I've got to have a full medical before I can join our local surgery and the receptionist couldn't tell me whether I could talk to the Nurse about my pregnancy! I'm excited, hope I get to talk to her about being pg, will be really disappointed if I don't!

Work's a bit crap at the moment. My boss told me that I'd have to go to the basement to dig out a load of invoices because he wont send another girl as she's pregnant. I have no excuse to moan as I haven't told work I am pg, so don't expect him to be a mind reader. Thinking of bright excuses to get out of it!

Off for tea and watching DHealth I think. Not been too good today. Went to Tesco yesterday to pick up a few stuff missed off my home shopping delivery, and almost boffed seeing the fresh fish counter. Felt a bit squiffy all day.

And there was me saying I wanted Morning sickness!

Good luck for everybody who is testing this week, fingers crossed for you all.

Love Elf

Moomin · 16/02/2005 18:45

day 28 but still no witch as yet (lol minnie!) but obviously am not holding my breath. don't feel particularly period-y yet. usually have quite a few cramps by now.

felt good today as i acted like a sane person who knows she is not pg - i booked my 1st acupuncture session which i hope will support the ivf treatment. the appt is on monday afternoon and the lady doing it is a former nurse and midwife who specialises in fertility problems. apparently acupuncture can help retain a pg during ivf, in the 2 week wait between implantation and af date. sounds positive anyway...
how about everyone else?
btw thanks for the messages yesterday, it really did make a difference .

romilly · 16/02/2005 18:57

Ta again ernest - yep i did get one in about 3 days before so banking on that one (!). but i kind of figured morning after second 0 day had a long shot chance because of eggie living up to 24 hours - ever hopeful!!!

anchovies · 16/02/2005 19:04

Hi again everyone. Have been ttc for exactly 2 days now (had my implant out yesterday!!!) Think it may be a while as I have a bicornuate uterus and endometriosis but I've managed it once against the odds (and I had a coil!) so here hoping!

anchovies · 16/02/2005 19:05

Sorry!

BeckiF · 16/02/2005 19:15

Ohhhh help! FF has decided once more that I have ovulated and that I am 16 dpo ... however, both pg tests that I have taken show negative. Only symptoms I have are cramps, some nausea and tiredness. All could be down to af. I'm just looking for stories of people who have had neg's past when they should of had a positive, and have still found out that they ARE pregnant. You all know my probs, so HELP!!!

jessicasmummy · 16/02/2005 19:49

SPARKLY!!!! Whats the gossip?????

OP posts:
Mirage · 16/02/2005 20:46

Becki,I had a neg when I first tested with dd.I had been told by the hospital, that after having an ectopic pregnancy, that if I was only a day late, that I should test,so they could monitor me if it was positive. On day 29 I duly tested & got a neg.As it was Christmas & I didn't want to depress myself,I just left it,& didn't re test assuming that AF would turn up pretty soon.

Finally after a week,I retested & got a positive. To this day I don't know why it didn't show up earlier.I always used the same tests too-Boots own ones.
Good luck

pooka · 16/02/2005 21:34

HESTER
Good luck to you, I was so pleased to see the news when I was lurking on this thread, as I sometimes do.
Babydust to all trying and all waiting to test

sparkly · 17/02/2005 08:26

Sorry everyone, just didn't get time to get on last night. Long story! Anyway, wish I had good news but the test I did was a BFN so that leaves me thoroughly confused about my body and what it's doing ... CD33 now - the longest cycle ever. I do have pco but since having dd, I've actually had periods regularly unlike before so had hoped conceiving would be easier this time but it's looking like that isn't going to be the case

munnzieb · 17/02/2005 09:08

well i've tried just lurking, and it's not happening!I keep wanting to post, and after all the support you girls (old and new) have given me over the time DH has been away I feel a bit mean just leaving after all u've been a lifeline in the evenings - it's great I don't have to tidy the hosue to have my mates over! so sorry i'm being silly at the minute.

SP - ((((((hugs))))) sorry about the BFN hon, could it be too early?

anchovies - Hi and welcome, good luck! this thread seems to be particually lucky.

elf - good luck as well hon for your apt today hope all goes well, let us know how you get on.

Romilly - don't be silly of course you can join in with us! two days is normal, that's how long I've had for the past 4 months, i've O'ved on the second day, I normally have a nice little cramp as well!

JM - it's possible to catch on ur second month of TTC, one of the girls on here (Sorry I forget her name came on and said oh we're now trying and two/three weeks later was PG!) and next door to me caught in 2 months.

munnzieb · 17/02/2005 09:12

of course there will be no news form my house in the next two months, but well at least when he's back i'll be the raging nutter I was last month! apparently i'm like hitler when AF is due - yeah thanks then DH! lol

still i'll support u guys anyways/give some of the wisodm i've learnt form hester/jedds/RD!

Tania - u getting on OK hon?

also ment to say becki - could you go for blood tests hon? will the Dr check you over at least?

fresco · 17/02/2005 09:23

i wish i could get some of those good advice/knowledge from fron yous all munn.it seems to help somehow!! well should have af last sat of month.just waiting now.

munnzieb · 17/02/2005 09:27

well hopefully she won't come hon!

I can't wait today - my carpets are being done - YAY!!!!!! no more dog chewed carpets! YAY!!!!!!!

Moomin · 17/02/2005 09:29

sparkly - bad luck
still waiting for old witch. boobs still sore. i remember when i found out i was pg with dd as my boobs were agony by the time i tested (i was 6 wks by then) but i can't remember if they were sore for the 2 wks before that. i think so but they then got worse and worse until i couldn't bear anyone even looking at them, they hurt so much!
ttc makes you go mad. i can't even remember how long my usual sore boobs last before each af now; it seems like it's been ages this month.
see, i knew this would happen - coming on the ttc boards makes me obsess!

MINNIE1 · 17/02/2005 11:04

becki, Would agree with MB to get the doc to do blood test.. Really hope you are so FINGERS CROSSEDXXXXXX Hope this is your month

jessicasmummy · 17/02/2005 12:17
