Anyone TTC after a recent early loss and wanting support? (Aug 26)

Hi, I thought I’d start a separate thread for anyone who is TTC after a recent early loss, so we can support each other through what can be a really difficult time. 💕

I’m 39 and TTC for my first. I conceived after around four cycles, but sadly had a missed miscarriage mid-July at around 9 weeks, (development had stopped at 6).

I stopped bleeding last Sunday and have started noticing some cervical mucus returning over the past few days, so I’m hoping my body is beginning to get back into its normal rhythm.

I’m still testing positive on pregnancy tests, so can’t use LH strips to track ovulation yet, so for now, my plan is to get back to some exercise, eating well and have sex every 2-3 days. I’m feeling positive and hopeful but also trying to take my mind off the waiting!

If anyone else is going through something similar and would like to share the journey and support each other x

Thank you @Posypear @Happymama04! I got excited, but now concerned that at 15 / 16 DPO it should be clearer than this, even on a non-sensitive test.

I think I will stop testing now and see if AF arrives this week. Maybe if it hasn’t by Friday try and get into GP to check levels 48 hours apart?

I think it would definitely be reasonable to ask GP considering you still had HCG from MC for a long while

@fluffycauliflowers not out until AF arrives! Are you using early sensitive test or a normal one? 10 DPO is still early and within implantation window, fingers crossed!

Been using Wondfo HCG strips. I think they are early detection. Another BFN this morning at 10/11 DPO 🤷‍♀️

Hi everyone hope you're ok 😊 I was wondering if I could please join? I'm 30. I had a chemical last November and a missed miscarriage in April (baby stopped developing at 10wk, discovered at 10.5wk). It took ages to recover from the miscarriage physically I had to have an MVA in the end. Both pregnancies were after IVF. I'm TTC naturally at the moment.

Hope you're all well and sorry for your losses x

Can I get your line eyes please - pic with the flowers in background was 12 DPO and likely residual hcg from MC. Other pic this morning at 16 DPO. Do you think it is slightly darker, same or lighter? Sorry the quality is not great!

looks darker to me!!!

@Springcloud26 I agree it definitely looks darker - I’m cautiously excited for you! Fingers crossed it all works out this time. I think it’s completely reasonable to ask for bloods given the situation.

@Posypear - I’m not surprised you’re anxious, pregnancy after loss is so hard. If it helps, my line progression with my successful pregnancy was the worst out of the three, so try not to worry too much about it (which is impossible I know).

@Sofie1994 - welcome to the group, I’m sorry to hear about your losses. It sounds like you’ve had a tough journey so far. Fingers crossed for more positive news soon 💕

Posypear · 18/08/2026 12:40

@Springcloud26 I will definitely test every day for the foreseeable even though I'll tell myself not too ! Sounds sensible to speak to the GP. It's such a shame a positive test can't just be a celebration anymore!
@Pottingsheddays thank you that's good to hear. I'm much more upset and anxious now then I was after I had my chemical strangely. I find the unknown worse!
@Sofie1994 sorry to hear about your losses.

Springcloud26 · 18/08/2026 15:00

Thank you everyone! Contacted my gp, they rang me back at just after 2pm, I had my blood test done at 2.20pm and back Friday morning for the 2nd! Hopefully will have some answers. I was very impressed with them. Watch AF arrive before Friday! 😂

Well you can’t ask for better than that! Everything crossed for you 🤞

@Springcloud26 very impressive for the NHS! Wishing you lots of luck!

Pottingsheddays · 19/08/2026 06:48

That’s great that they were so on the ball @Springcloud26 Will you get the results of yesterday’s test before Fri or do they wait to have the comparison?

CD40 over here and day four of bad cramping 😐I have a feeling AF is going to arrive this weekend when we go on holiday!

fluffycauliflowers · 19/08/2026 07:09

@Springcloud26what a good response from your GP!
AF has arrived for me this morning so I’m deffo out.

@Pottingsheddays I’m hoping I’ll get yesterday’s result via the nhs app today so I’ll know what the starting point is. I know it probably doesn’t help much on its own as I think the range can be quite wide for a viable pregnancy even when it’s so early?

Oh that’s annoying for the timing if it does! Do you usually have a few days of cramping before AF arrives?

I’ve been impressed with them recently, although I probably annoy them with all the requests I have put in this year while TTC! 😂

I’m sorry AF has arrived, be kind to yourself today 💕

I was so anxious last night I couldn't sleep and took a test at 4.30am !?! Still quite light so worried but looks similar to my test at 13 dpo with my DC. I keep showing my DH the photos and he's like what am I looking at ?! They don't understand the spiraling- ha ha !!
@fluffycauliflowers sorry to hear AF has come. Be kind to yourself and hope you can enjoy whatever your vice is today. Mine is chocolate and a nice glass of red wine!
@Pottingsheddays I had period cramping this whole cycle/ and now even after positive tests so you never know!

Pottingsheddays · 19/08/2026 14:45

Fingers crossed @Springcloud26 I’m sure time must be going really slowly until you have the second test on Friday.

The early pregnancy insomnia is so rough @Posypear I can never tell if it’s the anxiety or the hormones! That’s good that it’s looking similar to when you were pregnant with DC. Hopefully the tests will look darker in a couple of days - my DH didn’t understand either 😂 every time I showed him a test and asked how it looked he just said “like a pregnancy test”!

I was advised not to TTC this month due to concerns around RPOC and my lining, so just waiting for my next cycle. Which is why I’m so impatient for AF for once!

Pottingsheddays · 19/08/2026 14:46

Sorry to hear about AF @fluffycauliflowers Hope you can do something nice for yourself this evening. I’m hoping I won’t be far behind on CD1 x

Posypear · 20/08/2026 07:11

@Pottingsheddays ahh okay well bring on AF!!
Ha ha yes that is definitely my DH!!

Pretty sure it's another chemical sadly. Tests getting lighter and the cheap ones showing nothing. Same as last time. Not gonna lie feeling pretty devastated. Wishing everyone better luck this cycle.

I’m so sorry @Posypear - that seems really unfair to have another one so soon after. Look after yourself, it’s emotionally draining going through all the highs and lows x
