Anyone TTC after a recent early loss and wanting support? (Aug 26)

Hi, I thought I’d start a separate thread for anyone who is TTC after a recent early loss, so we can support each other through what can be a really difficult time. 💕

I’m 39 and TTC for my first. I conceived after around four cycles, but sadly had a missed miscarriage mid-July at around 9 weeks, (development had stopped at 6).

I stopped bleeding last Sunday and have started noticing some cervical mucus returning over the past few days, so I’m hoping my body is beginning to get back into its normal rhythm.

I’m still testing positive on pregnancy tests, so can’t use LH strips to track ovulation yet, so for now, my plan is to get back to some exercise, eating well and have sex every 2-3 days. I’m feeling positive and hopeful but also trying to take my mind off the waiting!

If anyone else is going through something similar and would like to share the journey and support each other x

Thank you @fluffycauliflowers @Pottingsheddays I will check those out too!

@fluffycauliflowers I think I can see a hint of a shadow on the first pic! You may also be able to see it better than the quality of the images show. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you it will get darker in next few days!

Hope you ladies are doing okay. I really enjoyed scamanda and sweet bobby podcasts! Although not particularly light hearted. AF due tomorrow and I can feel it coming so not feeling very positive!

Springcloud26 · 16/08/2026 16:51

@Posypear There are so many good ones to listen to, but I never know how to find them!

I'm sorry, it’s so hard when you feel AF is already on its way. Sending you a little bit of hope, just in case x

Sorry to hear that @Posypear, it’s hard when you feel like you know AF is on the way.

That’s such a great line @FlyingHighFlyingLow - fingers crossed this is the cycle!

Still no signs of my period coming back yet, so the waiting game continues. We did a 2nd birthday party for all the toddlers with our antenatal group today and had another pregnancy announcement there. Then there was a long conversation about how everyone’s dreading going back to the newborn days and how awful it’s going to be - I was thinking I’d give anything to be worried about that right now. So a large slice of birthday cake on the cards for this evening!

Springcloud26 · 16/08/2026 20:58

I hope you enjoyed your birthday cake @Pottingsheddays (a cup of tea and cake always provides comfort for me!)

I hope you get some clarity soon on your cycle.

@Pottingsheddays I feel this! My DC is two in a few months and most of my group are pregnant now - trying not to feel envious! Enjoy the cake!

10 dpo just got a positive digital but unsure if this is the residual HG of the chemical 1 month ago. Google seems to suggest no but I guess I'll have to wait and keep testing. I really hope this works out.

After my chemical my HCG was undetectable on HCG tests before I even stopped bleeding so I think this must be new! Fingers crossed for you! X

This sounds very promising to me!! 🤞🏻

I got a BFN this morning at what I think is 10dpo so I guess I’m out this month?

Same as @fluffycauliflowerswhen I’ve had chemicals the HCG has been gone so quickly! I’d say that’s definitely new. Fingers crossed for you!! 🤞🤍

@fluffycauliflowers not out until AF arrives! Are you using early sensitive test or a normal one? 10 DPO is still early and within implantation window, fingers crossed!

OP posts:
Posypear · 17/08/2026 08:49

Thanks ladies I couldn't face testing with the expensive digitals after bleeding so who knows?! Got all the period cramping and feels. I'm actually 11 dpo got my dates confused. @fluffycauliflowers I don't think I tested positive with DC at 10dpo so definitely not out yet.

Springcloud26 · 17/08/2026 16:52

Wondering if AF will arrive tomorrow or if I’ll get to test in the morning! I don’t have any cramps, just have that feeling that it could start and keep going to the loo to check. I’ll be CD 32 from passing MC tomorrow, which is my most regular cycle length.

OP posts:
Pottingsheddays · 17/08/2026 19:04

That sounds like a new positive to me @Posypear, how exciting! I was testing negative on digitals within a few days of my chemical, similar to others. How are you feeling?

@Springcloud26 - I’m in the same boat and had a little bit of bleeding this morning and thought AF was about to kick in, but now nothing. So the wait continues. I have some cramping though and just that feeling that it’s close - CD38 for me (usually a 29 - 31 day cycle).

Springcloud26 · 18/08/2026 06:50

Can I get your line eyes please - pic with the flowers in background was 12 DPO and likely residual hcg from MC. Other pic this morning at 16 DPO. Do you think it is slightly darker, same or lighter? Sorry the quality is not great!

@Pottingsheddays thank you. I've concluded it's a new pregnancy but feeling very anxious. Took a dye test this morning and convinced myself it was a another chemical as the line looked so light but then realised I had only waited about 90 seconds and was meant to wait 3 minutes! It's no dye stealer but don't think I'm out yet. Still convinced I'm having another chemical. On my app I'm technically 2 days late but only 12 dpo as my cycles are irregular with breastfeeding so I don't know how dark they should be.

@Springcloud26 and @Pottingsheddays I always tell myself I won't test but I do ! All the best if you do test.

Posypear · 18/08/2026 07:02

@Springcloud26 looks darker to me!

Darker! 🤞

Springcloud26 · 18/08/2026 07:24

Thank you @Posypear @Happymama04! I got excited, but now concerned that at 15 / 16 DPO it should be clearer than this, even on a non-sensitive test.

I think I will stop testing now and see if AF arrives this week. Maybe if it hasn’t by Friday try and get into GP to check levels 48 hours apart?
