Cosmo - that sounds pretty hot but lovely!!! Although, not the mozzie bites!

I think Kay is on holiday, can't remember.

Went to the pub last night and told my sis. Said it was really really early days and things could quite easily go wrong so to not get too excited the showed her my positive tests. Of course she went mental, jumping up and down even crying. Bless her, she's so excited that if this bean sticks she'll be an aunty. Told her she must not tell anyone else on pain of death as Mum doesn't know yet and would be upset if she found out through the grapevine! Just got to work out when I should tell Mum!

No plans at all this weekend. Will be pub tonight so will have to think up a reason as to why I keep ordering soft drinks for the bar staff. Not worried about "the locals" I plan to be drinking tonic with a slice of lime so they have no idea its not a G&T. Both DH and sis know if I am heard to ask for a G&T it means without the gin!

On a more random note, I have just done a quiz at work and apparently I am 6% common so am extremely posh apparently!

glaskham · 04/07/2008 13:47

monday morning is always the best day to start!!

and if i got caught would it make an april baby??.... i already have an april baby.... wanted a feb/march/may/june/july baby.... we wanted 3 kids all in different months so when it comes to birthdays they aren't all so close together!! oh well, if its meant to be it will be!!

glaskham · 04/07/2008 13:50

quiz sounds fun playing, where is it?

and this weekend we thought it was the local carnival/parade but apparently it was last weekend and we missed it!! so dont think i have anything planned!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 04/07/2008 13:53

no idea. One of my colleague got sent it at work and made us all do it. She didn't email it to me though. It was all questions like, "can you taste the difference between cava and champage", "have you ever played crochet", "do you call your evening meal tea", "do you read a broadsheet", "have you ever been to a Shakespere play", "have you ever had a car on your drive without an MOT", " do you own anything that's Burberry". That kind of stuff.

glaskham · 04/07/2008 14:03

ahh ok....i want to do it!!! off to google and see if i can find one!! haha!! (can you tell how bored i am??)

glaskham · 04/07/2008 14:07

i've found one and i'm 43% posh according to that!!

Oh Nat I would be so is I were you!

glaskham · 04/07/2008 15:44

oooh... NJ- dont blame you for going out!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 04/07/2008 15:52

HI Glask, how was you programme?

I have been very brave and started my first ever thread in the pg section [proud emotion] asking when everyone told people they were pg and why. I can't believe I have been on here since Jan and never started a thread!

glaskham · 04/07/2008 15:54

never started a thread???... the programme was wierd, there was a boss guy who had 6 girlfriends and wanted a PA who would wash his underwear and phone and cancel dates with his gf's for him- very odd!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 04/07/2008 16:06

That is odd Glask!

glaskham · 04/07/2008 16:10

it was very wierd watchign it, as 2 of the women who did trials for him he asked if they'd dress up for him, and if they'd sleep with him.... very odd, sex-mad man!!

GYo · 04/07/2008 16:18

was that the programme where the man was convinced the male PA was gay?

he was weird about it...

Playingthe9monthwait · 04/07/2008 16:20

Well I suppose some people are just weird

GYo · 04/07/2008 16:26

LOL yes. I love programmes like that about real people etc. Cant get enough of them. Drives DH mad.

Nearly time to finish for week. Off to Sainsburys soon- not great on Friday night..

Playingthe9monthwait · 04/07/2008 16:29

I've got to decide whether or not to go to the pub tonight. I do want to go to catch up with everyone but my parents will be there at some point and I'll know I will find it hard to keep quiet! I'm so torn about whether to tell or not, not sure my thread is helping, I can see the arguments for both sides, just can't decide which one is right for me!!

lardybump · 04/07/2008 16:31

Nat just in case you go just wanted to say that I hate it when dealers feel they can pull the wool over peoples eyes, and unfortunately Arnold Clarke are not beyond this (I know we deal with them).

If you get any more grief then tell them you have had legal advice and you are well within your rights to just hand the car back and demand all deposit paid back as well. Under the sale of goods act the vehicle was not fit for purpose and under the consumer credit act there was misrepresentation at time of contract...... I am sure the car will have all tyres replaced if you said this. dealers I bloody hate them.

And in the courts the emphasis is on them to prove that it wasn't and not on you to prove that is was...

Anyway just going to catch up now. thanks.

do what comes natural!! though by the sounds of your DH he'll be on the phone to your mum now bragging he's got you up the duff!! haha!!

GYo yes it was that programme- he was a very odd man, did you hear the women saying at the end he'd asked her to dress up in a tiny skirt santa outfit for him?? perv or what??!!

GYo · 04/07/2008 16:43

lol she was a bit odd too. Though anyone that could work for that susie lady would get a medal!

How is the sickness today LL? Playing- do what you feel like doing- maybe you can get away with being seen to not drink for a week or two (antibiotics excuse/ driving?) then you might be ready to tell everyone. I reckon you will know when its right to tell everyone rather than having to think about it...

I say that to myself over things like buying clothes (strange comparison!) but if I have to think about it, it means no. Otherwise I buy without trying on and its always right.

Sorry for random comparison there!

Playingthe9monthwait · 04/07/2008 16:47

Maybe you're right Glask. I would tell my parents if there was a problem so why not tell them now? Think I'll keep it quiet from everyone else basically as long as it takes someone to ask outright. At least if my immediate family know, if someone else finds out and the rumour is spread its not really a problem. I certainly wouldn't tell extended family/work/vague friends but in a close knit community I would probably tell people if I mc so I can't really see how it would hurt if they found out over the next few weeks. And sods law I would wait till 12 weeks, tell everyone and mc anyway!

tinkspregnantwithnumber2 · 04/07/2008 16:50

ft/evening girls

i watched personal services required i love these sort of programmes too i liked mickey he was sexy. hated the the blond haired women with the daugter she baley had an office or phone.
agree man weird too asking the women to do all that.

it is up to you playing
i told my parents as soon as i found out with both.
found out @ 7wks with dd1 and 4 wks this time. told close friends that i c each week this time 2 straight away.
nat hope u got car sorted out.

Playingthe9monthwait · 04/07/2008 16:52

Thats an intersting opinion GYo. I don't think I'm ready to tell mates (apart from the couple that already know) but telling family feels right as we are all very close and I have already told my sis!

I can't use driving as I live 200m from the pub. I could use antibiotics and that would string it out a week or two but not much more. I could probably think of other excuses too, but sooner or later someone will get suspicious and start asking questions. It could be in a week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, possibly longer but it will happen. Plus I am bursting to tell my Mum at least!

lardybump · 04/07/2008 16:53

Right I have now read everything but forgotten most of it .

Diege I am not really bad. I am not actually being sick (although have had to run to the loo a few times today) but feel nauseous all day long. So please just ignore my winging...

Calls thanks for the tips am going to get some cream crackers tomorrow and will nibble when ever I can... DD always has me running around in the mornings unfortunately and what with her teeth have been having bad nights so that is probably making me worse as well...

Like the idea of preggie pops so I am going to investigate those and the travel sickness bands.

Hi to everyone else I tested and got a BFP 10dpo I used FR and eBay cheapys......
