you know what now the sun is shining again!! how odd!! you'd never think it was july!!! more like march/april sort of weather!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/07/2008 14:49

T'is OK, I remember it happening not long after we moved in, we have PVC doors in a frame type thing, the frame at the bottom has holes in to let the rain water out, and they got blocked, so the frame filled up with water and then overspills into the kitchen, obviously it take 5 years to block the holes up!

Phew, had visions of cielings collapsing and stuff for a second!

Our cat went through a spell of bringing us pressies

GYo · 03/07/2008 14:50

Im at the other end of Surrey, near Hampshire border, just outside Farnham. But I went to 6th form college in Reigate so I know the area :-)

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/07/2008 14:53

Ceilings even.....

Grrrrrrrr!

Cat's best pressie was a dead mouse under a pile of washing that I'd left ready to go in the machine as the load it was doing came out, never quite shat myself in such a spectacular style before!

glaskham · 03/07/2008 14:54

right i'm off to do the nursery run.... wont be gone too long!! dont wanna miss any dirty talk... or maybe even straw talk!!

Also anyone have any ideas on what me and Dh could do for the day in london? we have a day in london as a late 3rd wedding anniversary/25th bday celebration for us, and we wanted to do somethign nice/romantic/cool/fun for the day.... any ideas???

GYo · 03/07/2008 14:54

Cats are strange like that

I just got up to turn on kettle and found a trail of 3 pigeon feathers going from kitchen to lounge.

Cat meowing suspiciously.

Hope rest of bird isnt lurking near catflap..

Who needs to TTC when a cat is behaving like child???

GYo · 03/07/2008 14:59

omg NJ thats a horror story. I've a real issue with cats 'pressies' usually get DH to deal with it.

When i was about 8, the cat at the time brough in mice, one of which climbed into toaster. Must have been lured by crumbs but only after it had been used a couple of times did we connect the smell of burning fur with the toaster!

Re day in london Glaks- depending on budget I can recommend a great day out that I had not so long ago with my DH. We had a voucher for a day spa in mayfair for a wedding present. Was a steaming experience for two and very fun, we made a day of it even though treatment was an hour only.

Ses15 · 03/07/2008 15:04

Glaks - How about the London Eye if you've never done it?? Or a boat trip on the Thames??

Was anyone else just watching the tennis? (Obviously I can work from home, catch up on MN and watch tennis all at the same time....) Venus Williams is actually growing on me. I think she's who I want to win this year. She was so focussed and her outfit is fairly simple but stylish and practical - unlike her sister's bizarre mac!

GYo · 03/07/2008 15:37

Feather count - 5

Cats behaviour increasingly odd.

No thunder yet

Not seen any tennis, kind of get bored of ladies tennis. Just cant get the interest going without nice legs to look at

GYo · 03/07/2008 15:42

Another London idea is a proper picnic in one of the parks. Done that before with everything thought of. Gin & tonics (ice and lemon) wine, starters, salads, cold meats, desert, cheese. Laid in park for hours.

Was 4th date with DH. Clearly his culinary skills paid off

Playingthe9monthwait · 03/07/2008 15:44

My cat brought a live bird in once it really freaked me out. Tokk hours to try and get the poor thing out of the house!

glaskham · 03/07/2008 15:44

i cant watch tennis full stop... although i'm pretty sure i wasn't aware of all the talent until getting on this thread!!

as to london, i thought abotu maybe a romantic picnic in hyde park, with somethign very ncie and posh, followed by champagne and strawberries, but if i get a bfp before then thats off the cards... then i also thought about taking DH to the massive regent cinema to see batman, but might be a waste of a day in london... i also thought about arranging a tour of the emirates stadium for him, its something he wants to do sometime, but i dont really, wondering wether to put up with it for him!!

glaskham · 03/07/2008 15:45

x-posts GYo!!

GYo · 03/07/2008 15:49

LOL
Great minds and all that. Forgot about BFP potential. Might prevent any kind of spa treatments.

Cinema is good idea. How about afternoon tea somewhere posh before or after? Least no alcohol involved!

glaskham · 03/07/2008 15:57

my cousin who lives in london said he has a friend who has conections at the ivy and could make us a reservation for afternoon tea... i think that might be nice.... so many possibilities!!

GYo · 03/07/2008 16:16

Will you be able to stay over night?

GYo · 03/07/2008 16:20

Thunder has reached me.

Soo dark!

Ses15 · 03/07/2008 16:22

Still sunny here but don't know how long it'll last....

How's the feather count going GYo ?

GYo · 03/07/2008 16:28

Hi Ses

We are still at 5 but cat has disapeered, suspect she is lurking under a bush til storm passes then will appear and leave wet paw prints on my floor!

Realised had not fed cat this morning. Wonder if thats what feathers were about.

Im leaving them on floor to show DH.

You can tell Im bored today!

How is WFH?

tinkspregnantwithnumber2 · 03/07/2008 16:29

GruffaloSoldier · 03/07/2008 16:29

GYo i am on surrey/hamp border! Used to live in Tilford near Farnham and now in ALdershot, whereabouts are you?

Big thunderstorm here eek!

Playingthe9monthwait · 03/07/2008 16:31

Still sunny here too Ses, but then I'm hampshire so not far.

GYo · 03/07/2008 16:34

Hi Gruffalo

So close. Im on the otherside of the A331 in Ash

Small world isnt it...

Playingthe9monthwait · 03/07/2008 16:35

Hi Tink, well maybe I was due today. Who knows, sounds as if the docs will go by the first day of my last AF anyhow first and probably re-adjust back down after scan. So I am 5 weeks to them but closer to 4 in reality. In the long run I'm sure it won't make much difference.

Playingthe9monthwait · 03/07/2008 16:36

Gyo - Ash. Goodness you and Gruffalo are close to each other and are really not that far from me!
