Diet coke is my weakness too. I've been trying to convert to caffeine free when I can but I know that's only slightly better. Unfortunately I've never been v good with my fluid intake and could easily get by on 2 cans of diet coke a day. I've never drunk tea or coffee or water !

For the last 6 months have been trying to drink a bit of water each day but even 500mls is a challenge! I know it sounds really pathetic but I just don't like it! Ocassionally I'll have orange juice but I'm not too fussed with that either! So far today my only fluid intake has been 300ml of water. I must go and force some more down me in a minute....

(Obviously wine and bacardi are both fine and go down well )

Diege · 02/07/2008 20:02

LB, cherries are a superfood so would cancell out at least 2 portions of chips
SES, I am just the same with water - I really struggle to sometimes drink even one glass a day (typical inatae of fluids is cup of tea in morning, then 2 cans of diet coke at work, then 2 coffees throughout day, then cup of tea before bed . Have been trying to have fizzy water and fruit juice instead of diet coke, but just SO hard!!! Do you think it's still ok in pregnancy to have 1 or 2 very small glasses of diet coke a day? Am more worried about the artifical nasties than the caffeine!

Diege · 02/07/2008 20:03

SES you can manage on just 2 cans of diet coke a day????

lardybump · 02/07/2008 20:06

Wow I love water but it has to be ice cold......

Right I am off now ladies so I will speak to you all tomorrow. Hope you have a lovely evening..

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that have carried on drinking diet coke and had no problems. I don't think I'd completely manage to cut it out but I'd probably try and cut down as much as I can and drink as much water as I can (even if that is just 1 glass a day!).

There's always this balance to be got though with everything isn't there about doing what's sensible and healthy without becoming obsessive and paranoid!

Ses15 · 02/07/2008 20:07

G'night LB!! Hope your nausea eases off soon!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/07/2008 20:11

Evening all

So...... TA DA

Have a nice night everyone, see you tomorrow

Ses15 · 02/07/2008 20:13

Wow!! NJ - those piccies look fab! Really clear

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/07/2008 20:23

The face one in the real picture is amazingly clear, lost a bit of clarity in the re-sizing I think.

Anyway, I am away now, have so much on Sky+ to catch up on, but will no doubt be asleep within an hour!

G'night again xxx

calsworld · 02/07/2008 20:23

Oooh fab pictures NJ, very clear picture of the face! A mini NJ, just imagine, fluffy, pink and sparkly !

Right - enough of all this bloody pregnant talk. Lets talk about me.

CD21....tap tap tap tap tap (that's the sound of my foot tapping btw) tap tap tap tap tap (I'm still waiting for my BFP on this so-called lucky thread ) tap tap tap tap

Come on girls - help me symptom spot.

No sore boobs - I always get them when AF due and when pregnant - not very helpful then.

Random 'subconjunctival hemorrhage' (get me with my fancy naming for bloody patch in my eye ) which I can find absolutely nothing about in relation to pregnancy (why is there no www.subconjunctivalhemorrhageisduetoearlypregnancy.com?)

Um, what else - I'm farting lots? Again, standard pre-AF and also am getting over upset tummy at the weekend.

LOL Everyone else as clueless as me? LOL

I still can't help but love this window between last 'purposeful' GOF and POAS time, last time round seems like aaaaaaaages ago!

KK cycle buddy where are you?

calsworld · 02/07/2008 20:36

Anyone out there or have I scared everyone off...

Ses15 · 02/07/2008 20:40

Hi Cal! Sounds like you're having fun with your symptom spotting... It's so easy to keep thinking and wondering.....

Diege · 02/07/2008 20:44

Hi Cals!! cd 21 is soooo early, so wouldn't read anything into no symptoms just yet . Do you have the sticks ready and waiting???
Nat, wow what amazing pictures - I've never seen such clear ones! Think the extra few weeks makes a real difference to the quality - love the little face! (looks quite 'boy-ish' to me!).
Right, I'm off. Need to do yet more marking and then try to get to bed before 11 for a change!
See you all tomorrow xxx

calsworld · 02/07/2008 20:57

Hi guys - I know its early - (should we still be GOFing? ) - think I'm all GOF'd out this month to be honest .

I'm not really symptom spotting, just been away from here for soooo long I'm kind of missing it all!

And as for sticks - how many do i need? I've got six in the draw but they are only cheapies...I know everyone has their preferences but I figure if I am pg any old test will eventually detect it!

Good luck with your marking Diege, I can't imagine how mind boggling it must be to read hundreds of responses to the same questions.

calsworld · 02/07/2008 22:18

I miss my wagon friends...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/07/2008 07:18

Morning

Cal, we're all still here, I notice a few of the regulars have erm.... spent too long in bed (either because they are sick, or GOF'ing for England) but mostly still here! (Have emailed BTW - eventually!!)

I think they were so clear because I did drink a bigggg mug of hot milk, two cups of tea (norty) and about 6 glasses of water, was absolutely bursting for the loo by the time the scan was over, the sonographer even said "right we better get this over with quickly so you can have a wee before you burst all over my table"! LOL, I wouldn't mind but then she pushed the bit into my belly so hard I did think I was going to burst! LOL

I suppose being a bit further on my uterous would be a bit higher up as well?

My drinking is doing OK, except my cup of tea in the morning (usually only the one!) and a craving for proper real coffee normal de-caf instant isn't touching it, we went for brekkie in town on Monday and I had to try so hard not to order a double latte, and stick to my orange juice It smells soooooo gorgeous! I think the only reason I am drinking enough water at the moment is that we have a water cooler thingymebob, keeps it all ice cold, I am quite good when not pregnant and drink a fair amount of water a day anyway, but when I am pregnant it just tastes like shite (along with a load of other things that I normally love )

I spose I'd better go and get ready really. Poor DS1 hasn't even done his spellings this week, Monday we went to Tesco didn't get back till gone bed time so it was too late, then Tuesday his friend was here, yesterday he went to his friends house, we have just about managed to read his book through, and luckily his homework this week was practical, rather than him having to write/draw so we did that yesterday morning, just been such a busy week! Luckily I know he picks it all up very quickly, so am going to have to go through them with him this morning (spelling test today), he is fretting though, we're normally a lot more organised than this!

Right, shower time, only 20 mins late, not bad for me! LOL

tinkspregnantwithnumber2 · 03/07/2008 08:32

Tink.

They were both pretty clear as well, no squinting and they came up pretty quick! Think I must have ov'd a little earlier than I thought. Thought I was due today but I don't think it would be so clear if I was?

Playingthewaitinggame · 03/07/2008 09:06

Sorry Glask, slow in typing today. Thanks

Ses15 · 03/07/2008 09:12
