Afternoon
OK big catch up....
Diege, holiday? What holiday? Oooooooh do you mean the five days spent spending a squillion quid on fuck all and shite? Or the fantastic () bingo in the club at 7pm? Or the kids disco at 8.15pm - YMCA included for the parents for free - while paying £2 a go for crappy cheap coke, and the dreaded fruitshoots? On asking for bottled water, the reply was "well you might as well get fruitshoots, since they are only £1.75, whereas the water is £2.50 a bottle"!!! Or do you mean the 5 days sat in a tiny hole of an apartment, staring out at the rain? No seriously, it was OK, as far as holidaying in the UK goes, kids loved it, which people keep saying is the main thing.... And it didn't rain the whole time, just most of it! LOL
Aunty, congrats!!!! Very pleased for you, is it starting to sink in yet? I don't think it matters if you've been trying for 6 hours or 6 years, that BFP is always a shock!
Ses there is 13 years between me and DH, (he is older than me) never been a problem for us, had a few funny looks when we first got together, but I was only 17, he was 30, I don't think people even register there is a age difference between us now. (Not sure if that means he looks younger, or me older..... )
Pop, still can't believe you're having twins, and I meant to say a big congrats to your sister as well!! I bet siblings having twins a week apart from each other doesn't happen very often! My doppler is the middle one, can't fault it, gives a clear reading every time, have picked up the babies heart beat, heard movements, the placenta swishing - it's great And if you rent it for 6 months, it becomes yours and they give you the remaining 6 month warrenty on it. When I was reading up on them, it seems that some of the cheaper 'listeners' just literally amplify any sound in your belly, whereas the ultra sonic dopplers will actually search out the movements of blood flow/movement and give you the sound of the movement if that makes any sense? It basically means you'd hear the baby/ies heart beat earlier and more clearly.
Tink, my scan is on Wednesday, next MW appointment is some time in August - I must remember to ring and make the appointment actually. It is going quite slowly day to day, but the weeks seem to be adding up fairly quickly IYKWIM? LOL I am swaying from feeling sick, feeling really dizzy, and feeling absolutely exhausted, it is quite different from my other pregnancies so far.
LB, hoorahhhh for symptom - or have you had enough of it already?
Kooky, cool names for the cats Ours doesn't have a name, I am sure we gave her one when we got her, but never actually used it....
Phew is that it??
DH has taken the boys out to MIL's Lovely couple of hours to myself after all the hectotic-ness of the week
