Hi guys! Moving the January thread here!

@RiverofhopeI’m having bloods to check thyroid etc, and something that will prove I’m not menopausal (though we’re quite sure that can’t be the case obviously!) and blood sugar etc. And an ultrasound. Presume following that I can have the tubes checked etc. She confirmed we’re not eligible for IVF (which I was aware of). So it’s a start. I asked her whether I should be influenced to buy all these fancy pre conception vitamins that my feed keeps showing me, she said not

I'm kind of glad I'm not the only one that gets massively targeted with conception vitamins @overwork - sounds like a positive appointment and hopefully gives you some pointers when the bloods come back.

And @Matildahoney i did have private tests done 2 years ago before my first and everything was fine, so kind of unexplained really but I might go back. I just wondered whether it’s “normal” it could take a bit longer as I’m older. So frustrating! X

@Riverofhope I was recommended a hycosy because nothing had happened after 6 months, AFAIK GP won't do that, so if you can afford to go back privately I would, NHS will just test whether you ovulate and that's about it!

Thought i’d show you ladies this one hell of an evap I got on a boots test! I didn’t even know pink dye tests could do this!
The second pic was around 10 minutes after taking it then the first pic is how it’s dried! I definitely won’t be using these again I always thought they were as reliable as first response😳

Hmm - you can get hycosy on the NHS, I used to work in the department that did them, but I’ve no idea what the criteria for a referral for one is unfortunately which isn’t much use.
@FloralxoxI had one that looked exactly like that with that test! It’s so disappointing isn’t it.

Well I just started spotting so guess AF is on its way, it just sucks as we're going to be on a train all day tomorrow! I really feel tired from all this so I'll have the hysteroscopy done this cycle, and I'll actually be relieved to not be trying for one month I think. Good luck for everyone still in this cycle!

I’m 14 ish (22nd) not ever been early )days out but it’s heavy when it appears like heavy spotting even tho a couple days back I had few dots 🤦🏻‍♀️ I Duno if I’m coming or going 🤣

Was planning to test tomorrow (have held off the last few days) but got some dull cramps now so assuming AF will arrive tomorrow as expected 😔

That is today’s mess is it looking ok to test again?

How many dpo are you? And how many dpo was the drop?

Assuming you have a typical 28 day cycle you should have ovulated on cycle day 14. Which your chart does sort of match with the sharp rise on day 15th.

However, you then have two slight drops in temperature followed by a sharp rise on day 18. So you may have ovulated on day 17. I’m not great at these charts so I can’t say which is more likely. Do you normally have a 28 day cycle?

If you are very regular then I would assume ovulation on the 14th and so you are 10dpo and so you could test. I’d try to use FMU though as you are still early to test so want as concentrated urine as possible.

If you are less regular then perhaps you ovulated on day 17 and so only be 7 days post ovulation and so be too early to test.

Hope that helps! BBT is tricky, it often takes several cycles to see your pattern clearly.

I'm gonna schedule it on Monday as they said I should wait for my period to arrive, but it'll be the Monday after that!

I’m 9/10 dpo the big drop was cd14

I'm reframing it in my mind as hopefully this is a sign of my cycles lengthening and returning to my pre-pregnancy 'bang average' 28-day cycle. Will wing it this month and then I might look into OPKs

So I’ve bought the easy@home ovulation strips for the first time and thought I’d start today CD9 so that I can see the progression. I normally ovulate on CD 16 so I expected today’s test to be really pale, but it was quite strong…? I’ll try and upload a pic. I’ve got no EWCM which I normally get 3 days leading up to ovulation. Is it normal for the test to look like this a week before ovulation?

Mine tend to fluctuate and it’s not necessarily a linear progression. Sometimes it fades a bit before coming back stronger again. To be safe I do mid morning and evening tests from about CD8/9 till I get a peak.

Thanks, because I’ve not used these ones before only the clear blue digital I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be seeing when. I’ll be doing 2 a day.

AF arrived last night, terrible timing for our weekend away but means my last cycle was 30 days which isn’t actually too out of the ordinary for me. So feeling a bit more positive and ready to go this month 😊 happy valentines everyone!

Sorry for not replying to your earlier post. Yes, your name is familiar and I think we gave birth in the same month. There is a chance that you might be in one of my WhatsApp groups 😅 . I am sorry that you got BFN this cycle. To be honest, this is my first cycle after giving birth and I am not sure if I have ovulated or not. I am also breastfeeding however I have been reducing the frequency because I know that breastfeeding could delay ovulation. My BBT was rising but my LH was low based on today’s LH strip. Then again the first cycle after giving birth is always unpredictable and I will just play it by ear. If I got AF this cycle, I would use OvuSense to tell me when I actually ovulate. I used it to get pregnant successfully. Good luck to you next cycle and I hope your next cycle will get back to the normal pre pregnancy cycle.

Hey all! Been a bit awol after my chemical, feeling a bit better slowly! Full of cold though 🥲. CD9, going to start LH testing tomorrow. Really trying to pluck up the energy to actually ttc this month, it’s like I nearly got there and now I have to restart the positivity! Hoping I ovulate more to my norm of day 14 rather than 19 which we had last month! We’ve decided to dtd every other day from CD10 too as that’s what seemed to work!
