OK...so I haven't been on for a while...mainly was too depressing as couldn't try to TTC as OH was still away. He's back now and [crosses everything humanly possible] hopefully will have a BFP in the next 2 weeks! I'm only at DPO3 but already symptom spotting (or as my friend pointed out...when I do it at work its just procrastination!!!)

So...any other symptom spotetrs out there??

Hi all, af due today, so far nothing, not brave enough to test yet!!

Ses15 · 11/06/2008 08:43

Not a silly question - I didn't know until 8 weeks ago! It stands for Evacuation of Retained Products of Conception. Not particularly nice when you know! All I know is that after they found the missed mc at my 12 week scan, I had the option of waiting for nature to take it's course, to take a tablet to speed up nature or the ERPC procedure which was done under general anaesthetic. I went for the latter as I'd had no signs of spotting and just wanted it sorted sooner rather than later. My understanding is that it only takes about 10 minutes and they insert a tube and almost kind of vacuum it all out.

Hope that's not all TMI???!

emma2617 · 11/06/2008 08:58

Yeah...not particularly nice...its a very clinical term.

Only 8 weeks ago...that not long at all...totally understand your concerns this time round and now I even have my toes crossed for you...you really deserve it!!!

And no...not TMI...I studied medicine for 3 years so I am used to TMI!! But i didn't stick it out to the obs/gynae semester so its not much use to me right now!!

McDreamy - morning! How regular are your cycles normally?? I say test!!

sorkycake · 11/06/2008 09:08

Ses are these +ves coming up as the pee line hits them or are they really squinty faint?

Ses15 · 11/06/2008 09:26

Am using digital tests as words speak louder than lines! This morning it said "pregnant" after about 90 secs.

McDreamy · 11/06/2008 09:30

Fairly regular, say within 48 hours, can't decide if I feel af coming on or not!

Ses15 · 11/06/2008 09:32

McDreamy - I'm a firm believer in testing FMU so how about thinking about testing tomorrow morning?

Ses15 · 11/06/2008 09:37

Ok. I'm going to stop being a lazy wotsit and move this laptop off the bed and go shower! Catch you all later!

sorkycake · 11/06/2008 09:42

sounds good then

piggysneed · 11/06/2008 10:30

I'm symptom spotting too. AF due on sat but had tiny bleed yesterday which I am trying to convince myself in implantation bleeding. Every month when AF starts I spend a day thinking its implantation but it never has been. I'm testing on sat if the floodgates haven't opened by then. Totally sick of buying pg tests.

Ses15 · 11/06/2008 10:35

Hi Piggysneed! Hope your right - sounds like it could be implantation! Keep us up to date with symptoms / testing!

ontheup · 11/06/2008 10:41

Hi everyone - am symptom spotting too after a mc over the Easter holidays. Can I join you guys?

Had a tiny bit of blood last weekend which I HOPE was implantation bleeding but was a bit early I think (was CD 16 and I think I ov'd about 3 days beforehand by the CM, i havent yet jumped into the world of temping) Since then cant decide whether I am imagining sore boobs or not - just waiting for metallic taste in the mouth as that was the giveaway with DS and also with the last pg - trying not to get my hopes up.

Ses good luck with the scan, I completely understand why you need to have this proved to you, I think I would be exactly the same. I will be thinking of you.

Ses15 · 11/06/2008 10:50

Welcome Ontheup! You never know - could have been implantation. When's AF due?

ontheup · 11/06/2008 13:29

Well im normally dead on 28 days so next Friday but last time was a 30 day cycle so could be next Sunday. The mc has made me a bit all over the place when it comes to cycles - hopefully I'm getting back to normal. Good luck w this afternoon!

emma2617 · 11/06/2008 15:56

Ses im bursting with anticipation! How did it go?!

babytime · 11/06/2008 16:55

Hi
Thought I'd hop on board.
I have been popping up on mumsnet usually around the same time very month hoping I am pregnant.
Dh and I are not actively ttc but we have sex withour protection and just dont go the whole way iykwim.
But whenever we have sex around my ovulation I hope a little cheeky one has sneaked in
I have been trying to convince dh to have another baby and recently he agreed to ttc at the end of this year so I know I am just being impatient but I cant hekp thinking we could be ttc for quite a while. DD1 was unplanned and DD2 worked quite quickly but that may have been luck.

I am so god damn broody right now I am overwhelmed by it and cant talk to a little baby without getting all emotional. I think my friends and family think i'm going insane because they have all noticed and its now got quite embarassing!!!

I am due on today and I have to say I have a few cramps and so do expect my period to arrive any second but unlike me I had to force my dd2 to have a nap today by reading lots of books slowly and quietly in bed so I could nap with her because fely exhausted!

I have also had tingling nipples and thought everything stunk today. Everywhere I went I was scrunching my nose up.

I feel I have jinxed myself by talking about it now...

Anyway good luck to everyone!

CaptainKarvol · 11/06/2008 17:02

Hi, thought I'd speak up (rather than just lurking). Had my day 21 blood tests today after 12 cycles of TTC with no luck. By this time every month I'm analysing every little twinge. So far have felt mildly sick yesterday and am very bloated (or just putting on weight). Which seeing as I'm also very hungry might be true! AF due sometime between Sunday and Tuesday, or later if this is an oddly long cycle. Still have 4 cheapy tests and am being very sensible...

Fingers crossed for all of you, tests, scans and all

babytime · 11/06/2008 17:02

Oh also forgot to mention has early mc in April and so cant help thinking if I am pregnant then the same could happen again, i was late in april so tested, got faint pos then period started and got neg when i tested again. i was wiped out for two weeks. i cant believe having a mc so early could make you feel so exhausied.

Ses15 - any news?

babytime · 11/06/2008 17:03

fingers and all bits crossed for you too captainkarvol x

Ses15 · 11/06/2008 17:26

Ok... I'm back!

Not fantastic news....

Sonographer basically said scan was inconclusive. She could see an area in the womb that was either a v early pregnancy or still retained products from after ERPC. She said in her experience looked more like latter.

There's been no BD for me and DH since 10th May as I got BFP on 17th May and didn't want to risk anything(mad and paranoid I know) so an early pregnancy would seem unlikely. Sonographer said she can normally get a clear view from 5.5 weeks and that would put me at at least 6 weeks.

I got sent down to EPU to have a HCG blood test and have to go back Friday for another, then get results Monday. If HCG levels still high, wait 2 weeks for another scan. If HCG levels not high enough have another ERPC.

Can I scream???

babytime · 11/06/2008 18:07

SREAM AWAY!

I'm sorry you came away not knowing whats happening - how frustrating for you.

Fingers crossed for you and I'll say a prayer for you too tonight.

I'm not massively religious but I do pray every night and for people I come across. Positive thought is great thing

Ses15 · 11/06/2008 18:09

Thanks babytime. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. I do have a faith in God but have to say am wondering where He is at the moment!!!?!

Ses15 · 11/06/2008 19:03

Off out in a few minutes for the evening. Maybe catch you all later if your still up when I get in.

Fingers crossed for all you testers!

ontheup · 11/06/2008 19:33
