Hi ladies, I need some advice as this is my first pregnancy and also first time TTC. I tested last Friday when I was 11-12 DPO on a sensitive test and got a light positive.
Since then I’ve made sure on a CB digital and also a couple of other cheaper and less sensitive Boots tests. All positive. But I’ve been concerned as the lines still aren’t overly dark. (Even sometimes with first urine of day). The lines do appear fairly quick within a minute but now I would be 14-15 DPO so thought I’d do a comparison with today and the test on Friday so a min 48 hour difference.
I am just getting anxious as I want to know the pregnancy is progressing as it should but how long does it usually take before the lines are very dark?
should I stop testing as it’s causing me stress? :(

I’ve attached photo. Top is 11-12 DPO and bottom is today 14-15 DPO.
thank you everyone. X

I honestly don’t think you can use the lines to know how the pregnancy is progressing. The bottom one looks darker to me and they both look positive so I think that at least in this moment, you are 100% pregnant - congratulations!

As someone who has just been through two chemical miscarriages they say line progression is every 48 hours and yours are lovely. Like overwork said your pregnant lovely, enjoy the feeling! I know it’s hard as we worry! ❤️

The line progression looks good to me. I was worried with my line progression last month and ended up miscarrying at 6+5 weeks. That being said, I know a lot of women who had slower line progression and have healthy babies now. The only way of knowing is doing the quantitative hcg blood works, have you asked your GP for bloodworks? And also, like overwork and Iris said, you are pregnant right now. Enjoy the moments! Prayers for a sticky bun for you mumma! ❤️❤️

GiveTheGoblinsSnacks · 21/10/2025 06:15

I’m wondering if I should test- day 27 of cycle and temp is 36.98. Had retching in the morning for a week and still have CM but also it’s quite nice living in limbo as a bit of hope.

Thanks so much lovely. Really sorry to hear about the miscarriages. It’s hard to stop overthinking everything and imagining what could go wrong but instead trying to enjoy the moment. X

Thank you ❤️ I’ve got my hycosy tomorrow to check my tubes and flush. I hope I get another BFP soon that stays around. Keep us updated on your pregnancy 🤍

Mash0917 · 23/10/2025 06:24

@underthethreeHow are you feeling? I'm 5 dpo today. Had a day of bad-bad cramping on 2dpo, God knows why. Nothing can be related to pregnancy that early after ovulation. Today has been a mess of too much CM (sorry tmi) and slight cramps. How about you?

underthethree · 23/10/2025 07:09

@Mash0917hi! I am also 5DPO! But I have absolutely nothing to report as of yet 😂 which is fine, I know I shouldn’t notice anything until at leastttt 6DPO so I think that has kept me sane so far. But from tomorrow onwards I’m sure I’ll be over thinking every little twinge 😂

ChaE05 · 23/10/2025 08:51

Hey everyone! Been a bit absent! Sorry..just life getting in the way.
@Iris2024hope your HyCoSy goes well tomorrow! Have you had one before? I had one last month and it was absolutely fine.
I'm on cycle 12ttc now, due to ovulate in the next few days I think. Have been told by NHS nothing more they can do to help anymore. So now have an appointment late Nov with a private fertility clinic. Xx

ChaE05 · 23/10/2025 08:52

@GiveTheGoblinsSnacksamazing news after 15 months!! That is a lovely strong line. You must be over the moon x

Praying your scan goes well 💛
I had beta hcg done yesterday and came back as 238. No idea if this is normal or not. I was 17 DPO yesterday so approx 4.5 weeks pregnant

AMBM6040 · 23/10/2025 10:21

Congratulations @GiveTheGoblinsSnacks- delighted for you 🥰 wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy xx

ttcnumerodos · 24/10/2025 12:44

All the best for your hycosy @Iris2024. I'm out this month, AF arrived at 8dpo 🙄 I've got a hycosy early Nov so just waiting for that and hoping ovulation comes after it so we're not losing another cycle to try.

AMBM6040 · 24/10/2025 21:37

Hi all, had my first fertility appointment today, we are away on holiday soon so just have to do a blood test for my AMH level when I’m back, has anyone had experience with this?

Iris2024 · 24/10/2025 23:39

@GiveTheGoblinsSnacks Awwww wow! Congratulations! So happy for you! ❤️

@ChaE05 I’ve not had a hycosy before. This was my first. It was so bloody painful! They struggled for ages to get the tube in, they couldn’t see my right tube but left tube clear. They said as was so painful they think there could have been a blockage!

@ttcnumerodos It was painful! 😣 but they think it suggests there was some kind of blockage as it was really painful and alot of pressure. See above but not sure what will happen now as couldn’t see my right tube. Guess will have to see with fertility team next step. But they did say 6/10 woman get pregnant after one and after my chemical I’m hoping I’ll catch again! I’ve heard so many positives about having one hun.

ChaE05 · 25/10/2025 07:41

@Iris2024oh I'm so sorry it was so painful. I was honestly so worried but I found it completely fine, just more uncomfortable. And mild period cramps when they flushed the dye through. But yes it sounds like the pain was from your blocked tube! Fingers crossed for getting pregnant this next cycle! I did have a little hope of that in the back of my mind but sadly it didn't happen for me. I've got to the stage now where I'm thinking there must be something else going on for me to not be pregnant by now, when all tests are showing good x

underthethree · 25/10/2025 12:58

@Mash0917and to everyone else in the tww! How are we all doing? I’m 7DPO (evening time where I am). I have been symptom spotting since yesterday 😂 fully aware I could be overthinking things, but thought I’d share my symptoms here anyways! Yesterday I had some cramps on my lower right side and a bit at my lower right side back. Lasted about an hour or so. It wasn’t a sudden sharp pain like I remember getting with my previous pregnancy, but it was quite noticeable nonetheless.

then last night and moreso today I’ve had a tiny bit of tingly boob pain in my left boob, which I don’t normally have. I do however sometimes have a bit of pain in my right boob, just never my left 😂😂 CM has also been more on the moderate-increased amount, but to be fair I don’t really know what it’s usually like.

anyways, that’s my symptom spotting report for the day 😅 it’s very small, tiny symptoms, but it’s something at least. I’m thinking I won’t test until at least 10/11 DPO unless I get some more concrete symptoms to give me some hope 😂

That sounds promising. Let's keep our fingers crossed. I'm on my 7dpo evening today as well. My lower left back and left leg is aching and cramping since this afternoon, almost like af is going to start. Apart from that, nothing! I am telling myself that I am NOT testing till atlleast 12dpo. Hope I will listen to myself. 😂

underthethree · 25/10/2025 13:12
