God Notsonew what a scary thing to have happened! But sounds like your doc is on the ball and so you're in good hands. Really not the sort of thing you want to have to deal with at any time, but esp when ttc!

Lottie I bet there aren't any tempers who haven't been a little 'creative' at one point or another - I know I have and I only did it for a month

I am feeling knackered and nauseous the whole time... in fact I'm about to go to bed in a minute (it's not even nine yet...). I'm not really complaining because every pg symptom I have means I am still pg but still, it's pretty hard going at the moment. Would love to chat more but am too tired. Night night everyone zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yarnie · 10/07/2008 08:03

NotSo Hope you're feeling ok this morning, although I'm sure your visit to the docs is weighing on your mind.

LBOT Just looked at your chart and that temp drop is quite a plummet, isn't it?! You seem to be alive and well, so I guess we don't have to be unduly concerned

MM Sorry to hear you're feeling rather wiped, but glad that everything is ok. Keep us posted on your milestones and pop in for a chat every now and then

Lottie LOL at your FF fiddling . I've not had recourse to fiddle yet, but give me another a cycle or two and I'll be trying to make myself pg through the power of FF!

Sorry to harp on about the whole 'when on earth did I ov' question, but I'm back to thinking I ov'd on CD13 as usual. Around 9 DPO I usually have a little spike before the AF drop. I've got the spike and according to FF I am only on 7DPO. However, if I ov'd on CD13 as usual, I would actually be 9DPO and my spike would be bang on schedule. I guess I'll find out sooner or later.

After last month's aborted attempt to give up coffee because of the terrible withdrawal headaches, I am trying a different tactic. I am replacing my coffee with tea. I think a regular coffee has 3 times as much caffeine as tea (or more) and I have really strong coffee. So, hopefully the swap is better than nothing. Maybe when I've weaned myself onto tea, I can switch to green tea and see what happens.

Morning all

Lottie so sorry about the plunge and spotting since I am queen of spotting I say don't count that which you've rummaged for as spotting - you wouldn't have even known it was there if you hadn't! My new rule is it's spotting if there's a noticeable amount when you wipe or if you need a panty liner but only a panty liner. Anything more and it's light flow.

Yarnie I'm still agreeing with FF - if you look at your temp for today it's the same as it was last month at 7dpo - but it doesn't really matter, as we've all learned! Did you GOF at a good time regardless?

Hi MM Sorry to hear you're feeling crap, but take it easy - you're making a human!!!!!! I feel so proud of you for some strange reason - your one of our success stories!

How are you feeling Notsonew? Thinking of you!

minxi · 10/07/2008 10:03

Girls...little bit scared and worried about writing this - am actually shaking but am 13dpo today temp dropped on 10dpo and huge temp drop today, was out last night and had a couple of glasses of wine, this morning felt quite dizzy...anyway just got home (not fmu)and thought sod it am going to test - one of the early ebay cheappies (I never ever test) anyway there is a faint line which came up after a couple of minutes...do you think thats for real...why would I have a temp drop ? Am very excited but scared, can't be real surely??? - this month haven't taken any folic acid - nothing just temped and accupuncture!!!
Anyway forgive me if I write later and say that af has started just wanted to share this news.... can somebody look at my chart...thanks!!

Oh Lottie no spotting at all - nada (have rummaged!! ...had very bad lower back ache yesterday sort of in the top of my bottom which is strange and nothing today... just felt dizzy this morning which made me think this is strange - due today and because of the accupuncture af seems fairly consistent...also have been very emotional!
In all of the last 3 years have never felt the need to test and when I have becaus of being late etc nothing not even an evap line so this is new to me... just feel a bit strange if it has actually worked - I will be over the moon!!
and I will definitely swear the accupuncture helped!!

lastboxoftampons · 10/07/2008 10:21

Ooooh, Minxi!
I had a look at your chart too. Today's temp drop is curious, and would make me the slightest bit cautious too. But you know, a line is a line... I'm afraid there's nothing to do but wait, is there? I would wait until after tomorrow's temp to test again (easily said, I know! )

Fingers crossed super tight for you!!!!! {{hugs}}

Lottie LOL about Leonard Cohen! How long did you do the accupuncture for, by the way? I've started with the vitex this month, so we'll see how it goes...

Hello all!

I am doing OK, I alternate between sheer terror at all sorts of unbearable thoughts like Chemotherapy or how my DH will cope without me.....and reminding myself that we caught the Melanoma early (I first noticed the mole 9 days before it was removed) - how far can it spread in 9 days? (I don't want to know a scientific answer to that please )

My temps are still high (Although I guess my system is rather messed up right now.) I do still have EWCM. As a point of interest, does EWCM stop straight after ovulation?

minxi that is fascinating!! To echo what some others have said - a line is a line!! I suppose that the sensible thing to do is wait & test tomorrow. My fingers are crossed for you

lottie great news about your first IVF appointment, good timing for the conference! I see Prof Winston is a Patron. I wonder if you will see him

lastboxoftampons · 10/07/2008 11:45

Woo Hoo! An Infertility Fair! Sorry, Lottie I don't mean to poke fun, it just sounds so bizarre! I can't get this picture out of my head of lots of people in white coats standing behind little booths waving around turkey basters! LOL! Have you mentioned to DP yet?

As for your chart - I think it really is impossible to tell what happened exactly without those two temps, but I kind of do think you've Ov'd later than FF says you did. How long is your LP usually?

And yes, vitex = agnus castus. And yes, I have been reprimanded by ATMK After I read her reply I just thought Um, okay, NEXT! You might want to wait to see what it does/doesn't do to me this cycle! I'll give you a full report! I'm slightly worried it will make my cycle worse, but to be honest, my GP is making me wait two months before seeing her again and I feel like my cycle is getting worse after the mc rather than better, so I'd rather not sit around and do nothing about it. It just needs a little nudge in the right direction IMO. Besides, it's my body, and I take full responsibility for the consequences!

NSNA I know it's hard, but please try not to jump to conclusions. We're all pulling for you! When do you think you'll have results?

NotSoNewAnymore · 10/07/2008 12:21

Good luck on the vitex lastbox, I think you have the right attitude.

I get my test results next week Tuesday.....I can't wait to know but I am dreading it too

Have you ever had spotting before AF, Lottie? As I've learned it could go on for days! Even now I'm not really sure which day should be considered CD1 for me. AF didn't actually start in earnest until yesterday afternoon, but I was getting bored with all the spotting so decided that CD1 was the day before because it had started to get a little heavier. In fact, I had told DH yesterday morning that I had just put in a tampon and I was going to forget about it! He told me not to and I said why not - he said because you might get TSS! I told him I wasn't going to forget about the tampon! Just the spotting!!!!

right more news....had session of accupuncture then went and bought a double pack of clear blue...anyway just done one and it came up positive within about 20 seconds.... will do the other one tomorrow - daren't get hopes up too high but looks like finally after 3.5 years and 26 ttc cycles I am pregnant Am in total shock - I'm thinking my temperature drops were implantation...Thank you to all for all your advice and I shall still be popping on to see all of your good news soon.... but one piece of advice would be accupuncture!!

NotSoNewAnymore · 10/07/2008 20:42

Oh Minxi - that is great, great news. Congratulations!!! Have you told your DH yet - how is he feeling?
