I’m not any further forward this evening. Still spotting like a red brown colour. Not heavy by any means and still testing positive. I would imagine tomorrow morning it will have gotten heavier and I’d be testing negative if it’s a chemical? Not really sure what to expect or how long it can take. If I see a darker line in the morning but still spotting is that reassuring?

@woodpeckersounds I understand - I'll try and wait too, unless I have some symptoms that strike me as unusual. It's funny, I can't remember what prompted me to take a pregnancy test when I got pregnant with my son, but I was maybe a day before my period... I've only just turned 35, so hoping it won't make too much of a difference. People have babies in their 40s successfully so it's definitely possible,

@Sunshine924 I've had such a chaotic week that it feels like forever since Monday, and I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not! It's certainly helped distract me, but equally it feels like I should be over halfway by now. I think my luteal phase is only about 12 days long, so I'm nearly halfway now. In terms of chances, I'm really not sure. Ideally we would have had another go on Tuesday, but we both had a sickness bug and it was not a good idea!

I'd say still spotting is more reassuring than it getting heavier x

I think I'm 5dpo today based on prenom with AF due 13th. I have some early response tests so think I might just try a test tomorrow to see. At least if there's a faint line I don't mind missing out on the wine 🤣 We've planned a long weekend away the weekend after so if AF flows then at least I can enjoy some french cuisine! Keeping fingers crossed!

It definitely can feel like the longest 14 days ever!😂 when we were trying for my daughter I was obsessive with OPK’s and honestly drove myself crazy with it, my daughter is only 9 months old so it wasn’t too long ago, this time round I’m trying to be more relaxed about it because it did take over my life last time! X

Finally got my peak tonight!! It’s a couple days earlier than usual which I’m hoping means I’m going to have a longer luteal phase 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I always thought they say the luteal is always the same length? Mine doesn't seem massively long but seems that PP's have similar lengths and have managed ok.

Found my peak a few days ago! Taking it as a small win because my cycles have got slightly shorter since having a MMC last year. Feel like I’ve been slightly missing my fertile window and not DTD early enough the past couple of months.

this is our 2nd month of trying following a break after 5 losses. my partner experienced some performance anxiety for the first time this cycle due to stress. we only managed to DTD 3-4 days before I ovulated. I know they say sperm can survive 5 days but I’m just curious if that is likely. does anyone have any advice on whether we still have a chance this cycle?

@ThisHangryTiger your luteal phase length depends on when you ovulate in your cycle. Mine has been short the last few months whereas before that it was always 14 days long. My cycle length never changed, I just started ovulating later for some reason. I’m hoping that the earlier ovulation this cycle means it’s slowing returning back to ‘my’ normal - I know everyone’s normal is different ☺️

A book I’ve been reading states that a luteal phase shorter than 8 days can often result in the uterus lining not having enough time to grow and develop, which can impact the chances of successful implantation. Reasons for it being short is often low progesterone 👍🏻

Blood when I wiped this morning and faint stomach ache so I’m taking it as the start of cycle day 1. My cycles haven't been the same amount of days since I came off the injection so I guess this month I’ll try and Dtd every other day from about day 10

ive made a March group for all of us moving over.

I’m 12dpo and have been getting cramps, but no period, just checking for blood every time I go to the toilet now as I really feel like I’m about to start. Will test if I make it to Monday without AF appearing! The waiting is tough!!!

@AB12393 hello! I have no advice there to be honest but I do think it’s true as I’ve known people to get pregnant from only dtd once which is wild - and surely they can’t have all been spot on with the ovulation date! So I’m sending you lots of hope and baby dust back

AF arrived today 11 days late which is u heard of for me so I’ve stopped taking sevenseas vitamins as seems to have messed my cycle up. What vitamins would you ladies recommend? I knew I hadn’t conceived this month as kept testing negative so glad to be onto a new cycle now! Hope you are all doing well x

Hello! Hope you’re all doing ok thought I’d drop in to ask if anyone else has had a chemical throw off their cycle?

I think my chemical in Jan has messed my cycle up. AF is really late, I was due on Monday and it’s now Saturday, so I got my hopes up but then a BFN this morning! But still no sign of AF. I am neverrrr late, usually like clockwork so this is so strange for me.

I had a chemical but my next cycle was normal though not sure if I ovulated!
It's so confusing. What type of test have you done? Would you try another one?

@bramarcan no too scared to do another test. Think I would rather live with the 10% chance than get a negative and know I'm 100% out! I'm weird I know!

Can I join!

We started TTC #2 this month. I'm currently 5DPO.

We have 1DD aged 2.5 and are hoping for one more to complete our family.

I am 41 so definitely feel like it's now or never for number 2. I never planned to be an older mum but life had other ideas. We have spent a long time trying to decide whether or not to try for a second (my age, no family support, and DD is currently being assessed for ASD). We decided to go for it this month after much deliberation. I'm excited but also really nervous (I wonder if that's normal?)

Symptoms so far...a strange feeling like a warm ball of energy but maybe it's all in my head!

I got my 1st BFP at 12DPO last time so will test next Saturday.

Yeh it’s odd because I had a mc in June and after that cycles were right back on track. But with this chemical last month I’m not sure what’s happening. I did FRER and those easy at home one. Stark negative, if period is 5 days late I’m fairly sure I’d at least have a faint line by now! In a way I hope AF does arrive now so I can start fresh, you know? Thanks for replying 🙏

Yeah I get that you just want to move on to the next cycle. I hope it at least comes soon to give you clarity. You haven't started taking any new vitamins have you? I think I read that some people have found they have lengthened their cycle
