I didn't test this morning at 12dpo, cramps starting to ramp up now so thinking AF will make an appearance early as not due on until Saturday but was early last month

I got my darkest line on the ovulation strips on CD22 so I think that’s what happened, this is our first month Ttc #3 and I’ve never had a cycle this long before so typical! What CD are you on? Xx

I’m CD 28 today, my app thinks I’ll have a 30 day cycle this month, last month is was 33 but prior to that I was 27/28.

I was like clockwork but as soon as we started trying my body went crazy and now I’m not as regular.

fingers crossed you caught the egg!

Welcome to the thread!
So sorry to hear about your losses. That's so awful and it does make the TTC process even harder too.
We have been trying for our first for over 2 years now and a bit like you lost my husband's Dad this time last year so the added grief and stress onto the situation has not helped!

I'm starting to freak about my cycles now, I ovulate later than I think you should so I'm worried there is an issue there. Going to contact the doctors this week to get tests booked in again.
Just keep burying my head but the heartbreak every month is just horrific and like you say, doesn't get any easier!!

Sending big hugs xx

I’m so sorry for your loss too @Tia22 - added life upset makes everything with TTC that bit harder doesn’t it. Have you been to the GP before this for any help with TTC? I’m wondering what the process is as feel I’ll have to go soon as we are just getting nowhere fast and age isn’t on my side. Hopefully they can reassure you about your cycle and give you some tests if that’s what you’d like. I know what you mean about burying your head as I am the same - why can’t my body do what’s it’s supposed to without having to go through the GP 😭. I am completely with you about the heartbreak, each month it hurts a bit more 💔 xx

Thank you so much ♥️♥️
It does, people say to me you just need less stress but I'm not sure how you're meant to have less life stresses?! Just seems constant atm 😂😂

Yes, we started looking at things late 2023, my husband's sperm got tested but it was just as his dad became very unwell very suddenly and then I had a few tests to see if I was actually ovulating, but it was hard to catch the right time of my cycle as they tend to change a little. But then everything kicked off and we had to put it on hold but it's just always there in the back of your head isn't it and feel like time is getting away from us.
I think they are the first steps and then it would be seeing if we need more help following the results ....
Thank you, I hope so. Same to you! I am the worst at burying my head with it, but I do think it will make us feel better if we know everything's ok or we know where we are if not. Knowledge is power I guess!!
I feel exactly the same, sending you positive vibes - we've got this!! xx

Morning ladies, have had 2 friends announce pregnancies in the space of a week and another this morning. Finding it tough when you so want that to be you. Best of luck to those testing this week x

Edited

Totally empathise. It's so hard. Gentle hugs and baby dust your way!! ✨

Sunshine924 · 05/02/2025 13:22

Joined from part 1! I'm on cd16 and boy is this month dragging. No sign of peak (using clear blue pink OPKs) which is so strange as I was convinced I usually ovulate early and have had lots of EWCM since cd9/10! No idea what's going on. I started taking proceive this month and worried it's messed with my cycle. Feeling a bit deflated as just not sure when I'm ovulating and its tiring having to his keep up the BD'ing every other day (we did this last month during my supposed fertile window) id hoped OPKs would help me pinpoint it better but clearly not. EWCM has stopped now so not sure if I've ovulated or not....

areyouinthedarkplace · 05/02/2025 13:32

Hi, can I join in today too? Been reading but try hard not to get too in my head about it so haven't contributed.

TTC #3, but my youngest just turned 8 and oldest is 9 so it's been a while which feels a bit scary! I'm 32, had my Mirena taken out in November.

Tried doing BBT this month but not convinced my thermometer is reliable, my sleep is also awful at the moment so getting readings all over the place.

Feeling a tiny bit hopeful, CD 20, boobs have been killing me since CD14 and had already considered that I might ovulate earlier than average. Cannot think about anything else so just looking for some solidarity.

Tia22 · 05/02/2025 13:58

@pinkrose001 Can completely understand this!!
It is so hard and then you feel bad for feeling that way.
I had the same end of last year, two announcements and really quick for them too which obviously is brilliant (wouldn't wish this on anyone!) but makes it hard. And then within the same month a colleague announced too, we are only a tiny office of women so it's of course a lot of the conversation!! It feels like it's everywhere when you want it so bad doesn't it.

It is so hard, sending hugs xx

I've started spotting - so strange - has anyone else ever had this mid cycle? This has never happened to me before. It's red blood but not much of it

Yes, I've been having some tests for it. I'm
No expert but what cd are you? And how many days post ovulation?

Sunshine924 · 05/02/2025 14:25

I'm cd16 today and not sure how many DPO / if I even ovulated yet. I've had EWCM since cd10 which has now tapered off but OPKs have not yet detected a peak - very confused!

squishousdelicious · 05/02/2025 14:42

BeSassyPanda · 05/02/2025 09:40

Hi everyone, thought I’d join too. I am 1DPO! I got a positive LH test CD14, assuming I ovulated CD15. We managed to DTD CD 10, 12, 13 and 15 so I’m hoping we caught it this month. Second month trying following a miscarriage in December at 8 weeks. Sending positive pregnancy energy to everyone

@Floralcat fingers crossed for you!!!

@carolinep3 I hope you're not in too much pain. The stress thing worries me so much too - thinking back to conceding my son, I wonder whether we conceived when we did because I had finished teaching for the summer holidays and could relax. I really hope I don't have to wait until July for the same thing to happen again, because I'd rather have an autumn baby this time around 😆

@BeSassyPanda I have decided I'm 1DPO today too, because yesterday I had lower back aches and that was after a super dark OPK. That was CD14 for me and we DTD on CD8, 10 and 12 so I'm hoping it all works out for us this month. Good luck to you 🤞🏻

squishousdelicious · 05/02/2025 14:49

@pinkrose001 sending solidarity. Even though we've already got one child, it hasn't hurt any less that one of our NCT group has had a second and two more are pregnant. I ended up taking a break from our group chat because finding out the second was pregnant coincided with a family bereavement and us trying for our second on the anniversary of a miscarriage. Best of luck and hugs to you xxx

pinkrose001 · 05/02/2025 16:57

@CustardCream31 @Tia22 @AlbatrossSociety @squishousdelicious thank you for your kind messages it's a comfort to know I'm not alone in how I feel❤️ Sending positivity and baby dust back to you all 💫✨️

Alex2022 · 05/02/2025 18:56

It's hard when everyone around is having success, so can totally understand. I'm meeting two gfs in a few weeks time, one who has a new baby and another who is also trying. I'm nervous she will share positive news and I will have no news to share. We both got married last year and on the same wave length but also have been busy with work / enjoying holidays etc.
We DTD this cycle on day 16, 15, 12, 11, 9. Today is CD18 for me, just going to continue every other day as you never know & they say if you are consistent it will happen!! Fingers crossed soon 😊

carolinep3 · 05/02/2025 19:07

I hate this time of the cycle - every wee is like a whole emotional event - will there be blood? So exhausting!
I've had my progesterone checked again today, it has almost doubled from 7-9dpo, I have no idea if that means anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

Alex2022 · 05/02/2025 19:12

@carolinep3 I believe it's a good sign if progesterone levels rise. What CD are you now?

I'm feeling this so much. Every time I go to the toilet I'm expecting blood, I usually spot 2 days before AF and I know it's coming. I'm praying so hard for this cycle - for all of us ✨💖

Alex2022 · 05/02/2025 19:14

I always said I wouldn't get so consumed when trying but here we are!!! It's so hard not to!!

I'm cd26. Symptom spotting is taking over my brain! I felt so sick on the tube today, it felt like the vomit comet. Now I'm not sure if I'm bloated and my stomach is going crazy or I'm having cramps (which can't be a good sign!) .
I asked someone in the know and they progesterone doesn't indicate pregnancy 😩 but isn't a bad thing it doubling in 2 days.

Alex2022 · 05/02/2025 19:25

Impossible at that time in the cycle to not symptom spot! We are all guilty!! At least not a negative if progesterone levels have risen. Would you usually feel nauseous in the lead up to your period or is this unusual for you?

@carolinep3 sorry forgot to tag you you might have missed this!

carolinep3 · 05/02/2025 19:39

Hi @Sunshine924, sorry not really sure if it is before ovulation. I had a lot of spotting 7 days before my period which my fertility specialist could be a few causes - uterine infection (other things included in this), low progesterone, uterus lining isn't optimal so the egg is being fertilised but not implanting.
So if the spotting is before ovulation I'm sure sure would be relevant at all.
Ovulation spotting can be really light? Are you close to ovulating?

Thanks for sharing 😊 I'm not sure on ovulation as OPKs haven't detected anything. The only thing I have to go on is I've had EWCM for a few days which has now stopped. The spotting has stopped (was literally just twice when I went to the toilet) so might just try not to worry about it unless it starts up again or happens regulay. This whole TTC business is so confusing!

woodpeckersounds · 05/02/2025 20:05

I need some advice ladies - I'm pretty sure this is a stupid question but...

I thought I ovulated on Sunday. Tonight I've had real sharp pains in my right side. Dr Google says it's probably the egg being released from the ovary, so does that mean I'm actually ovulating now? I mean, it's probably near impossible for you to know, but my last 2 pregnancies I just went with the flow and didn't look out for anything... this time around I feel I'm the complete opposite 🙈
