Hi everyone, I'm on CD 7 (I think.. last month was a very weird cycle for me) and going to start ovulation testing with the easy @ home strips and use the app they have.

I've used the clear blue smiley face tests the past 3 cycles but wanted to try something different this month.. but I'm worried I'm going to read them wrong as the clear blue ones were very straightforward!

If anyone has used these strips, what time of day did you test? I've read not to use the FMU so plan to test at 6pm (due to work) until I get a line and then try and test at 12pm too..

And did you not drink/wee for 2 hours before doing the test? With clear blue I left it 4 hours but struggled!

Would be great to chat to anyone who's also hoping this will be the month🤞🏼

@PoppyGirl222 no no absolutely not out!! Sorry, I was trying to say that I test from 7DPO but that’s because I’m too impatient !! A lot of people don’t get a positive until well after their period is due. Sorry if my message came across in the wrong way !! Xx

@PoppyGirl222 You’re absolutely not out, in fact I’d say it looks promising 😬 I thought maybe if you spot normally then it would just be you’re normal body cycle but if you’ve never before then I’d be thinking it’s a good sign!
I’m all ok, apart from full of snot 😂 but literally nothing to report ‘symptom wise’, 7dpo as well and honestly feel no different. I normally starting to symptom spot by now!

@TTCRach i didn’t realise you’ve started testing! 🤞🏻 it begins! I’m actually excited for us all now. It seems like everyone is due 14th!! Let’s hope for lots of positives. Keep up updated on your daily tests, gutted we can’t see pictures any more!

No no it didn’t don’t worry 🙂 it’s me just thinking out loud lol. It’s like i prepare myself for the worst so i can kid myself that i wasn’t that bothered anyway. The tww is s#%t!!!! I have cramps and the tiniest pale pink stain on the toilet paper when i wipe. I feel too a bit lost because i’m not long started ttc so feel like i’m always googling because i don’t know something. I’m so thankful for this group 🙌🏼💛

I hope you feel better soon 🤧. Nearly everyone has some sort of cold or bug it’s wild atm. I’m sneezing heaps & my nose is either running constantly or completely bunged up. Awk i hope it is a positive sign. The only thing i have is the spotting & the wee crampy pains…and the odd boob twinge lol but all that could be pms. I never thought the tww would be as bad as it is but it actually is lol it does something to me like i have zero patience when i usually am quiet ok at waiting. I literally think everything is a symptom 🙈.

@PoppyGirl222 i feel like it’s going quick though don’t you think? 8dpo already? Maybe just me 😂 I’m feeling very hungry today and very moody! But I think that’s tiredness or could be gearing up for af to arrive to be honest. How you feeling today?

@SCK2024 with my first I had my positive at 13dpo it was very strong, I didn’t test before then though. I think if you’ve still got 3-5 days till af though you’ve still got time.

@Mama09876 I'm feeling a bit irritable, sore boobs and crampy stomach, but that could alllll be that AF is due next week, NC says i'm only 5DPO, but I think i'm actually 7/8, temp still high today too, i've looked back and it's higher than usual, but i'm sure i've thought that before 😅

Going off Flo it’s due around 10-12th...usually accurate.

I always get PMS spots on my chin and feeling more sensitive, strangely nothing this month but loads of BFNs

Ive never symptom spotted before, wish I hadn’t started! 😂🌸✨

From my pregnancy with my first, I didn't really have any symptoms before my positive. Which I took that to mean I hadn't gotten lucky: took a test too early, got a BFN and was so upset about it. Cried at work. Really embarassed myself - my boss joked about me being pregnant because I was so teary at work, which didn't help...! Only for the next day's test to show a faint line, and then used a digital two days later that confirmed I was pregnant.

So many of the very early pregnant symptoms are the same as premenstrual symptoms. You can drive yourself mad. Especially when you're being hyper aware of your body because you're desperately looking for signs.

That said...

I am KNACKERED. Feeling super tired and have very sore, heavy feeling boobs. Which can sometimes happen before my period. But, also, had really sore boobs at the start of my first pregnancy. So who the hell knows! Roll on the 14th. Definitely going to try and hold off testing until then.

we have been trying I’d say almost a year now.
Symptoms spotting last 2 cycles and using the ovulation kits.
I did more reading on lubricants as I read a post here on MN about spermicides, which turned out that we had been using one the last year!
This cycle we have used conceive plus lubricant, which I read high reviews on, but we shall see, time will tell ☺️

So both our due testing dates are the same!

I tried not to test but I did this morning with BFN, feeling a tiny bit achy lower and but also read IB can be anywhere between 6-12daysDPO so who knows!

@Taysonic completely agree! There was a few months we didn’t try and I knew 100% I couldn’t be pregnant yet if I was symptom spotting I had all the slight pains in groin/headaches/triedness etc all the same as early pregnancy sign yet I knew I couldn’t be. So just shows how easily they’re the same. I’ll be holding off to test on 14th as well 🥰

the only thing that made me think I couldn’t be pregnant was with my first, my bbt kept going up and didn’t drop below baseline so I kind of had an idea I might of been but still a shock seen the positive test. I suppose it’s not a symptom but tracking bbt gives a better idea if period is coming or not.
@LuckyDuck93 good with the high temp! Let’s hope it stays high! I’m going to start tracking it again on Monday so I can see if I get that dip before af.

@Mama09876 Yea i actually do think it’s went faster than last month. I caved this morning 🙈. I’m doing my LH and thought “f%#k why not” There was a line i kid you not! It’s so faint practically colourless. I am definitely off my head because i did it again there now just incase it was a dodgy test and it was exactly the same. Unless the who box is dodgy 🤔 but i used some of that box last month. It probably wasn’t anything i’m only 8dpo and there was no pink to it, but i did i caved in. I wish you could see, I hate the no photos thing 😡. All that you described could be either 🤷🏼‍♀️🤞🏼. Hoping for the best for all of us.

OH MY GODD!!! I really wish the photo function was on too...! Keeping all my fingers crossed for you that this is it. A couple more days and I'm sure that line will darken and be unmistakable. Ahhhh!

It was practically clear both times tho 😕 would it be like that at 8days? Shouldn’t it be pink? I put it through the invert picture thing and it showed up white but would a faulty test or evap show as white too? It’s so annoying when you don’t have the knowledge 🤯 you dead stupid. The test was exactly the same at 10am and 14:20. Two faulty ones in a row who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️. How are you doing today?

Is it easy to do the bbt?

So ive used natural cycles app since 2018. You do have to pay for it but i use it as a prevent pregnancy and plan pregnancy. I stated using it as I didn’t want to use protection or take any pills.

I’ve found it much easy to do when I didn’t have a toddler 😂 it literally sits next to my phone on my bed side table and when my alarm goes off I grab my thermometer and take my temp whilst I’m still lying down. Difficulty with having a child you’re up and down in the night! I think it says you must have 4hrs of continuous sleep for it to be actuate.

but I also think you can buy the bbt thermometer off Amazon and there might be free apps you can use?

Glad it works for you though!

It does take while for the algorithms to sort of understand your cycle. So there are a lot of ‘red days’ compared to green at the start but after so many years of using it, it has my cycle down to a tee!

@Mama09876 i’m bleeding again ffs 🤷🏼‍♀️ this is an awful part in the game of life 😔. I feel like i’m out but literally it’s not due for seven days and I’ve never had a 20 day cycle in my whole life.
