As the title says, I’m 2DPO on 12th January and TTC baby no.2. Feeling chilled at the moment as it’s 1st cycle and it took 4 months last time. Going to try and hold out from testing early!

I ended up with a lower peak than I expected, think I actually missed it by testing early and late and it was mid afternoon. Anyway I'm officially 1dpo backed up by my slightly inconsistent temping. I had a dip then a spike. Fingers crossed a couple more days will get me a coverline. Think we covered our bases so should be in with a shot. I'm due AF on my birthday 😢But if I get a bfp that would be an awesome birthday present. How's everyone else getting on?

I think my peak is happening today because I just did a test and it’s way higher than it’s been. This is the day I had my peak last month too on CD19. Also today is my birthday so how wonderful a present would that be for us both!

Mine was higher today (but not very high, went from 0.04 to 0.2) with FMU but then dropped to zero at noon! I had cramps and a tiny bit EWCM this am so we DTD as not sure if I could have peaked last night as a short sudden surge. My EWCM has turned creamy but cervix is still high and soft so who knows!! My apps says i should ovulate on Mon or Tue so will keep testing.

Esssa · 08/02/2025 12:11

Aw fab, great that it's getting there and you don't need to worry it won't anymore. It's one thing after another isn't it?! Birthday present vibes all round! Happy birthday @Babydust82 🎂

houwseevryweekend · 08/02/2025 12:12

@Babydust82 Happy Birthday! Do you have any nice plans to celebrate?

Babydust82 · 10/02/2025 08:22

Thank you ladies :) I enjoyed a child free night away!

ovulating today I think - signs were quite clear! we managed to DTD thursday - yday so I really feel we've given it our best shot! But wondering if I should get upstairs for one more go 😂luckily DH has a sense of humour about it all but it's so unsexy

houwseevryweekend · 11/02/2025 08:34

I got my peak reading on an OPK yesterday so my app has me ovulating today CD15. Phew, my Premom readings (using one step strips) were rock bottom for so long I was worried something was wrong. But they jumped from 0.1 to 1.09 in a day! Am glad I tracked as would have thought the rogue EWCM I got on CD7 was a super early ovulation. Or relied on apps which had it CD13-14.

Will be in the 2WW tomorrow, but we are moving next weekend so won't have as much time to stress hopefully.

Esssa · 11/02/2025 11:29

4 dpo today and my bbt is slowly dropping already. So I'm already counting me out over basically nothing 🤦🏼‍♀️ probably self preservation really. It's an okay looking chart though as far as I can tell.

@MakeMeJuno do it lol. Every little helps 😂

@houwseevryweekend you must be the rapid surge type. Makes it trickier to plan I'm guessing. And stressful waiting for it. Is this your first month tracking with opks?

2DPO 12th Jan - anyone with me?
houwseevryweekend · 11/02/2025 19:34

@Esssa it is my first time tracking OPKs! I liked it for knowing what's going on in my body but also a real faff as I had to test 3-4 times a day towards the end to catch it. And all the symptoms of ovulation I thought I had previously didn't actually happen around the right days!!

Wondering if I just DTD every 2-3 days during the fertile week in future to cover all bases. We definitely won't be able to keep up the frequency we DTD this time around!

I hope it's just this cold weather messing with your BBT as 4DPO is so early still. When do you think you'll test?

Esssa · 11/02/2025 22:58

I am all about the information too @houwseevryweekend I've tracked before but always fallen pregnant first month of trying. I lost 3 before having my 2 children and they were all easy or 'too easy'. Now we are in month 3 of proper trying and it's frustrating as we've never been here before. Definitely been lucky in the past but I'm nearly 37 now and it's showing. Still well within the realms of normal though.

I tend to try to BD every other day, maybe every day if I'd otherwise miss an important day. Definitely depends how much assistance I get from my husband though. Sometimes I feel like I'm forcing the issue but the timing causes me stress I try not to transfer onto him

I'll see tomorrow what my bbt is. Fingers crossed it hasn't dropped again as I think that could show low progesterone but I'm not sure. I'm not getting the best results anyway as my sleep is all over the place. Really I should hold out until 10 dpo minimum before testing but I'm not great at waiting so we shall see!

How was your BBT today? I think it would be early for implantation so probably just subtle change from the cold weather. And yes your rubbish sleep will change it a little too.
4dpo (ish) today - I never fully caught my peak as was away for the night so didn’t take my tests with me. Hoping the next week flies by!

Dreading the next week!!

houwseevryweekend · 13/02/2025 15:25

2DPO today and will test at 10DPO so only a week to go! I am so fed up of POAS for Ovulation and the stress of waiting for a Peak, that I'm now in no rush to test sooner. Very unlike me ha.

Babydust82 · 13/02/2025 15:35

Thursday is essentially my Friday at work so I am more distracted on weekends! At least on Monday I’ll be 8dpo before I start procrastinating about it again

Bbt is back up again @Babydust82 though I'm taking the whole thing with a pinch of salt. I was awake from 2am till 4.30am with my 21 month old last night 😲
6dpo today so testing Monday at the earliest.

Great but Oh no! Is that normal or is there an underlying issue like illness or teething? Excited for the early testing to start for you!

He wanted feeding back to sleep was part of it and we are both stubborn! His eczema has flared after daddy fed him a dairy yoghurt without thinking (he's dairy free) and he is scratching himself raw unfortunately. Fingers crossed for a better night tonight as I'm flagging. Thank you @Babydust82

Bless him, must be uncomfortable when he gets a flare up. All the best for a good night sleep

Anyone testing early? And when??
I've never had a positive pre-missed AF so baring that in mind but I'm still so tempted...
And also falling into the symptom spotting trap - had to wee in the night which is v rare and was getting hopes up. Ahh I need to keep my hopes low!!!

Esssa · 15/02/2025 23:21

I technically can test from Monday but at 10dpo that still could be too early. I like to know asap though so I'll probably cave and try. Different apps are saying 19th or 22nd for AF so I'll find out before long. Happy birthday to me lol. I know which result I'd rather get as a birthday present!

houwseevryweekend · 15/02/2025 23:54

@Esssa Ooh fingers crossed that this birthday is your happiest yet!

@NeatOtter My apps have my period starting 24 Feb as a regular 28 day cycle but they've been 24-26 days the last 3 cycles, so not sure. I'm planning to test on Wed which is 8DPO as the One Step cheapies are supposed to be valid 6 days before AF at 13DPO. FRER says I can test on Wed too... What about you?

I don't think I have any symptoms. The last time I was pregnant, before my BFP, I went off wine (unheard of!), got super bloated and my skin was great. None of that now. Ever practical DH says it could be different symptoms with a healthier embryo than the last one which never grew. We shall see.

NeatOtter · 16/02/2025 07:30

@Esssa 🤞🤞 finngers crossed for that birthday present!!

@houwseevryweekend i'm 8dpo today but won't get a bfp anytime soon. I'm up in the night weeing which to me is a posiitive sign. And boobs v sore. But still trying to keep lows from raising.
Your DH giving off positivity is great! 🤞
I felt so unwell in Dec before a miscarriage at 6 weeks - I am hoping for an entirely diff experience. I had a uti, really painful thrush and so rundown. Looking back I feel as if it was a sign it was never meant to be anyway. Didn't feel like that in a pregnancy I got further along with. So I definifely think there's something in having different symptoms xx
🤞🤞🍀🍀✨️✨️✨️

Babydust82 · 16/02/2025 08:21

I’ll see if I can hold off testing until Tuesday. Will be 9dpo then and that’s when I got a positive FRER last time. Will start with one steps though. My AF comes at 11dpo anyway

OP posts:
MakeMeJuno · 16/02/2025 09:08

I know lots of people say it's better to wait until AF but for me I found last month the BFN from 10DPO helped me prepare gently for the result, so will probs do the same this month
