kayzisexpecting · 12/05/2008 21:51

Yeah I know. We are going to try and get him to go to bed earlier now.

I wish I could drink some cider.

calsworld · 12/05/2008 21:58

I wish I couldn't drink cider.

I'm off to bed now! Goodnight, maybe catch up tomorrow?

kayzisexpecting · 12/05/2008 21:59

Night Cal, I should be on tomorrow evening.

Moosma · 12/05/2008 22:04

Oh Squack, at least you know where you are now and maybe we'll be on AN together again!

I feel like things are changing and switching on, it's odd as I have no symptoms of anything yet, I just feel like my insides are waking up, does that make any sense?

kayzisexpecting · 13/05/2008 06:54

Morning,

The sunshine has gone but at least I am at work all day so it doesn't matter if it rains.

I'm about to leave for my MIL's. Its far too bloody early, I've been up since half 5 and its horrible. I don't know how DH does it everyday.

I'll pop on at lunchtime.

Have good days everyone. XX

tinkisexcited · 13/05/2008 07:42

morning ladies
still sunny here looks like it is going to be abit cooler

ReachOutAndTeuch · 13/05/2008 07:55

bit cooler here as well, and we are having a bbq outdoor cooking tomorrow!

Moosma, I think that is how I felt . I could just feel things getting into gear.

Cal - you won't be far behind me, I'm sure!

DS goes to bed about 7.30 and gets up just before 7 most days...late nights tend to mean earlier mornings here .

Have a bit of a dicky tum today

Squack · 13/05/2008 08:34

Full flow and a happy Squack!

I've never been happier to get my period tbh, because I knew i wasn't pg, which then inevitably leads to worries that something could be seriously wrong

Moos I truly hope we are on the same AN thread

Cals I'd have had the alcohol hope it was sweet and wet!

Now I've forgot what's going on with everyone else.....

Teuch what've I missed? are you n bub not well?

BB that sounds like a good plan trying to live off Dp's salary.
We didn't manage it when we only had one and I found it not too bad to go back to work when we only had the one child.
When Ds1 came along I dropped to 2 days a week (20hrs) but it still didn't work and I became rather unwell to say the least, the whole family couldn't cope.
So we made some tough decisions about finances and now I work 10hrs per week on one day, when Dh works from home. He does the childcare that day and works an hour a night to make it up.
I've just started to go back on Saturday mornings for 5hrs because the cost of bills, food and fuel was starting to make it so that our disposable income was shrinking fast.

Martin Lewis' moneysavingexpert.com site helped us a lot in sorting out ways to reduce our outgoings without necessarily making a ton of sacrifices.

Diege · 13/05/2008 09:14

Morning everyone! Been at my desk since 8, but wanted to pop in and say hello as I don't think I'll get on again today..
Squack, glad you know where you are now at least!! Hopefully I'll be joining everyone fully off the wagon this month - still not heard about smear, but they did say 5-6 weeks, and it will be 4 weeks this Friday. Bit of a bummer as it's this month (cd7 today!!! Come ON NHS!!!)we were starting on, as June is out due to wanting to avoid sickness on hols end of July!
Still very sunny here, but a coolness in the air which is good!

Squack · 13/05/2008 09:21

Maybe we'll be on an AN together then Diege

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 09:25

Good morning

Should have remembered how bloody annoyingly addictive it is last time! I'll close it tonight in a bit....

Squack hoorah for an answer, sorry it was the wrong one, but at least the waiting is over.

Teuch hope everything is OK?

Same as Diege here, sunny but cooler, if the wind would drop it would be as warm as it has been, but the wind is a bit on the chilly side.

My flowers are still alive, am worrying stupidly that when they die it will be the end of the baby as well Can't bring myself to chuck them out though, and I know it is ridiculous. Just can't seem to get excited about the baby at all. Feel like I am just sat waiting for it all to end again. But then at the same time, I am not worried about it ending, because it isn't 'real' yet...... god I am warbling again aren't I?

ReachOutAndTeuch · 13/05/2008 09:49

NJ - that'll be the hormones kicking in, and rational thought flying through the window! I think once you have had a loss, you never really accept it is all real until baby is in your arms.

We are fine, as far as I know, just a bit of constipation/diarrhea (sorry, tmi!). And I seem to have lost a few pounds

I am in a complete dilemma about pursuing early investigations/reassurances...

MW has offered to look into options available, but part of me is just not sure whether making a 300mile round trip especially for an early scan (private or NHS) might not just be more stressful? On the other hand, I will never be able to keep things under wraps until first 'official' scan.

During the day I apply rational thought - I am still expanding and feeling pregnant - in the dead of night I just imagine the worst...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 10:02

Teuch I lost loads in the first 12 weeks with DS1, MW's assured me it wasn't a problem.

Could you go for an 'early' 12 week scan? If you went around 9/10 weeks, it will still be reassuring, and they can check dates etc. from then. So you'd still get an earlier scan, but only have to do the travelling the once.

I think it isn't helping that apart from the tummy and sodding weeing all the time, all of the 'symptoms' I had are gone, completely. Not a sausage of them left, and I can not only look at raw meat, I even actually handled it at the weekend. Having said that, I can feel my kidneys rumbling from time to time and that only ever happens in pregnancy.... swings and roundabouts anyone?!

calsworld · 13/05/2008 10:32

Yep, all my 'symptoms' have gone - except a very alarming preference for all foods healthy VERY unlike me!!!

So, CD31 today and no AF.....yet....

(I can hear you from here NJ, and I'm still not testing till tomorrow Thursday! if AF hasn't arrived by then).

Oooh, wouldn't it be lovely to go through it together? (Not that I've been and lurking but saw you tentatively joined the Jan 09 thread! I am feeling like a stalker!!

confession time.

I've just had a cleaning company in to clean my house

I love it! I'm so excited - it looks FAB!!! And I feel ssooooooooooo much less stressed about the state of the house now - like a huuuuuuuge weight has been lifted. . Is GOF'ing safe in the unlikely event that I am up the duff coz I think DH may be in for a surprise later for letting me get them in!

Right, I really need to get on with my report - its got to be presented to the board next month and I haven't even started it yet.....

calsworld · 13/05/2008 10:33

Wow, emoticon overload! Oops

calsworld · 13/05/2008 10:34
Hmm
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 10:41

Nothing about giving sharing the work load! Good on you I say! And with you both working full time, and with DS, it is no surprise!

Am saying nothing about you testing this afternnoon or tomorrow Thursday, my lips aren't sealed

Just for Cal

calsworld · 13/05/2008 10:54

lol

report writing is boring

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 10:57

Don't write it, get the cleaners to do it

calsworld · 13/05/2008 11:00

Actually, now that they've been round and taken the worst off everything, there's loads more that I can see needs doing...

There was two of them here (mother / daughter) for an hour and ten mins and in that time they cleaned the downstairs toilet (including washing the floor), the utility room, the kitchen (including my dirty hob, the washing up and hoovering the tumbleweed'esque dog fur), the dining room, the hall, lounge, stairs, landing, bathroom and three bedrooms.

Oh, and they cleaned the front door too!

Next week, there's extra dusting to be done, taps to be de-scaled, tiles to be polished, windows for washing, door frames (all my downstair doors are those old fashioned glass panes in wooden squares so take ages to clean individually), not to mention the fact that I'd like all my kitchen cupboards and sideboard emptied and cleaned too(which is enormous!)

Then there's the curtains to hoover in the lounge as they pick up susie's fur (the dog!) oh and all the kitchen cupboard doors need cleaning too, and the appliances come to think of it....

Blardy hell - they'll need an army - am I nesting being too obsessive???

calsworld · 13/05/2008 11:03

It was beautiful when I was on maternity leave - at least it was by about the time he was 5 months old!

Oooh, tummy cramps in aunt flo styleeeee clearly I'm being too optimistic

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 11:08

Would it be worth getting them in for a whole morning/afternoon/day to get it all done at once and then it would take them an hour a week to keep on top of it.

Cramps are good, I have cramps, please tell me they are good! LOL

ReachOutAndTeuch · 13/05/2008 11:30

Cal - I am jealous. We are having a bbq outdoor food tomorrow followed by 'viewing' of the big game, and the house is a tip...

I just want the Brownies to come and do it!!

We had a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad smell last week, which we thought was a dead mouse under the floorboards and it went away, but it has come back with a vengeance . So has dead mouse attracted a group of mourners? Or have the rest of MacMouse clan belatedly expired too? It fecking stinks...

Oh, and I have now poured some vinegar down there, so you can imagine the smell now.

calsworld · 13/05/2008 11:37

NJ, have to admit that I really thought that two people for an hour just focussed on cleaning would somehow magically do loads more than they did. I'm glad I was here when they were doing it though so I could see how hard they were working - they really didn't stop. If anything, it makes me feel better about not being able to keep on top of everything - they didn't have a DS tugging at them every five minutes!

I think once they've been in for a few weeks it will gradually all get much better and they'll be able to do everything that needs doing each visit - its just they were starting from quite a poor standard . I only got confirmation they would be arriving at 8.00 this morning at about 9.00 last night - you can imagine how much tidying DH and I suddenly managed to achieve before going to bed and going to work this morning!!!

My mum did say that I'd probably find myself being tidier in general knowing that someone was coming to clean, cos they can't do so much when all our shit treasure is lying around on display , I know what she meant now!!

Teuch, at your but of your bbq tomorrow! I'll be in my office again, tip tapping away and eating boring sandwiches from the works canteen.

Vinegar? Am I missing some domestic trick here, does that get rid of bad smells? Now lemon juice I've heard of....perhaps you could drizzle some of that down?? You'll just need a half teaspoon of mustard and you'll have a dressing PMSL! Sorry!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 11:43

PMSL Dead Mouse Reamins Sauce, goes well with salmon so I'm told In actual fact, salmon would need something like that to give it a reasonable taste, can you tell I don't like salmon?!!

I have always said to DH when he has said about getting some help in, it would be an entire waste of time, I'd clean it all before they got here...

So what's wrong with a BBQ Teuch? Have you gone all poncetastic on us?
