sshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! You can' actually say the 'b' word or it will rain!!!

Blame these feckers on Ch4 (Agnes and whatsit!) for the vinegar...they are always chucking it about and cleaning things with it

I am off to make home-made lamb-burgers...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 11:55

Ohhhhhhhh I see. Use the lambs wool to knit yourself a brolly Or don't actually....... LOL

calsworld · 13/05/2008 12:06

Teuch, is it wrong that I think its fab that you knew the lambs? Circle of life and all that - well sort of...but YKWIM!

I've been hanging out the washing working very hard and my report is going nowhere coming along well.

Feeling very satisfied with the days progress so far! What are you up to NJ? What is your DS doing today? Mine keeps coming home with stained clothes from all the painting and glue stuck to his skin - which makes him look like he's got some weird skin condition - have currently got lots of 'yellow' clothes in soak. Great. Thank goodness I've only ever bought him cheap clothes!

I'm starving.....Tesco's BGTY spicy chicken noodles for lunch I today I think....mmmmmmm with salad? yeah, that works, I think .

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 12:11

Well he has been playing in the ball pit, on and off his little trampoline thingy, and up and down the slide (DH says "he's a boy, let him get on with it"), but it is nearly nap time.

Think I might join him

Moosma · 13/05/2008 12:26

Morning all

DDs1 and 2 are all over our slide NJ, they climb up the wrong way, go over and under each other etc, it makes DH crazy with worry!

Diege · 13/05/2008 12:59

Aww all this talk of Los on slides etc makes me really ; wish I was at home with dd3 Have just popped into Sainsbury's and got her a cute little romper suit though, plus some goodies for me and dh . DD3 is at a funny stage where (having older sisters) she thinks she's older than she is. Lst time I showed her a romper I got 'Me no like it, be not a baby, no! me a lady...)
Clas, good on you getting the cleaners in, fab idea . We had a cleaner once, but it really was a case of her moving around our crap/toys etc, so never really worth her while.
Nat, cramps are good yes!!!Agree, your anxietieis are entirely normal - just a shame you have to wait so long for first scan/appointment [sngry]
Squack, yes wouldn't it be great if we were all on the same antennatal thrad (well, same-ish ones, let's be realistic!!). Am am 38 next week though, so I'm sure I'll be last what with my eggs on the turn .
Hi to everyone else! Right, lunch break over, back to the grindstone!

calsworld · 13/05/2008 13:06

Oh wow! Apparently DS plays on the slide at nursery but I assumed they were putting him on it etc, but when we went to the park the other day he actually asked to get off the swing to go on the slide - I think it was a bit faster than the one he has at nursery as he looked very surprised, but he was quite happy to go up and down - but, he doesn't climb the stairs by himself, he just stands there grunting until I hold his hands then he climbs up - good job its not very tall!! I think i'd be quite nervous of him climbing up and down on his own as he's still a bit wobbly on his feet - he tries to move to fast for his legs!

He loves the trampoline too - am very that you have one at home.

My garden is completely unusable for him at the moment though, so even if we did have one it would be pointless . We are however in the process of growing a lawn (YAY!) and after bank holiday will be hiring a skip to clear all the rubbish out. We also need to create an area for the dog to use as toilet that is separate from DS play area. Until I can get out there with the pressure washer to blast it all clean, we'll be going to play at the park. Good job he's at nursery and gets to play there alot and that the park is behind our house or he'd be like a cooped up chicken!

Can't wait to get the garden done - he's going to love it! I actually started working on it last April when the weather was lovely, DS would sit and watch quite happily from his pushchair whilst I trundled around clearing undergrowth. We had a huge waterfeature and pond which we've now filled in and flattened, plus four raised beds which are now more razed beds!

We've also chopped down three 40' leylandii (or however you spell it) and we've shredded it on to our front drive and we've been disposing of it via our brown wheelie bin. So its not like we're not trying - it just seems that every job is so blimin big!

I really am starving - gonna go get me some lunch! BRB

kayzisexpecting · 13/05/2008 13:14

Hello everyone!!

Work is absolutely roasting. Its far too hot in there for me today. The sun has come out and its lovely.

I feel exhausted today, I'm really hoping that once I get to 12 weeks the tiredness will stop.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 13:16

Moosma, yep, both of the boy's go up the wrong way, DS1 has a bigger 'wave' slide, how he has never come off it I don't know. DS2's is only a litle baby slide, but he climbs up it, somehow manages to turn round and slide back down!

Diege, might not be waiting so long for the scan, still haven't decided if we are going to get a private one or not. Half of me thinks yes go and get it, put mind at rest, but then the other half thinks just because we may see everything is OK on that day, it doesn't mean that the next day is going to be OK, so then we'd be getting into weekly scans, which even by my standards is very OTT!

Cals, DS2's trampoline is this one. I must say it has been worth every penny (and heart failure!!) he loves it We did our gardens last week, we did already have a lawn, but it hadn't been cut all winter, and we had junk piled up in the corner, that went in the skip, it is 100 times better out there now, and I can just open the door and let them come and go and they please without worrying about them.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 13:18

Hiya Kay

With DS2 I had terrible tiredness, it did eventualy stop, and then came back in the last few weeks! I think it is very common with second+ pregnancies, with your first you can relax and even sleep if/when needed, when you have kid/s already you can't.

Can't say it get's much easier once you've delivered though

kayzisexpecting · 13/05/2008 13:21

I might get that trampoline for DS for my mums garden. He'd love it.

I'd love weekly scans. Someone I know is a nurse in a private hospital so they give her weekly scans as a perk of the job!!!! So lucky.

I do get some sleep when DS does, but 9 times out of 10 I get to sleep as he wakes up.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 13:31

The trampoline is great, but a farking PITA to put together, seriously, get someone to do it with endless patience, and big thick gloves that will stop fingers getting trapped!

I don't want weekly scans, wouldn't mind weekly heartbeat doppler sessions though! Scans un-nerve me

kayzisexpecting · 13/05/2008 13:33

I dont think I'd want weekly scans past 34 weeks if you need to keep your bladder full. It would be horrible.

I got one of those things that apparently let you hear the baby but we tried and tried and didn't hear a thing ever.

tinkisexcited · 13/05/2008 13:35

we dont have a big garden dd1 has pink and purple little tikes small slide and elc swing. also has dora pop up tent and pop up tunnel.
she loves her slide 2

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 13:38

You don't have to have a full bladder for later scans, well I never had to for both of my 20 weeks ones.

Tink DS2 loves his pop up tents/tunnel, DH and DS1 do as well, in fact I think DH has spent more time in the tents than anyone else!

calsworld · 13/05/2008 13:43

NJ - you're right re late scans, you don't need full bladder. Full bladder in early scans is to push the LO forward far enough to be scanned, but in later pg they are big enough and push out enough to be easily picked up.

Remember my scan on my profile of DS at 36 weeks? No full bladder required!!

I have just had my five a day in one sitting, I've made an enormous salad which is most unlike me, it must be the sunshine

I've got lettuce, tomato, cucumber, avocado, spring onion, mushroom, beetroot with a pack of that john west flavoured tuna (tomato and herb?) and a hard boiled egg.

I've never even hard boiled an egg before!

Yum Yum Yum

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 13:47

Yes I remember the pic Cal

Mmmmmm hard boiled eggs and salad, yum!

calsworld · 13/05/2008 14:04

DH is a bit funny about eggs - he can't stand boiled egg (soft, medium or hard), he only eats scrambled egg if its cooked until its completely dry and crumbled, poached eggs under extreme duress and they have to be fully cooked all the way through and the one he does 'like' is a fried egg, but you have to turn it over and break the yolk to cook it through (apparently its not good enough if you don't break the yolk? ).

He's a bit of a fussy bugger!

I've just skyped him (instant message) and told him I've done all his washing (we do our own usually) in preparation for his jolly trip to Bulgaria on Thursday and he immediately couldn't help but check I'd used the right program on the washing machine for him.

Thank god its the right one! Although I'd probably have told him it was even if I had got it wrong coz he'd have been so blimin' grumpy!!!

calsworld · 13/05/2008 14:06

Now, serious stuff girls.....

What do I have for pudding?

I've got; grapes, banana, jelly, custard, icecream (brrrr), mini fairy cakes...

And a big box of quality street!

calsworld · 13/05/2008 14:07

Perhaps that should be...what do I start with for pudding!!

I'm thinking maybe hot custard with fairycake and banana?

Followed by just one tiny ickle chocolate?

calsworld · 13/05/2008 14:08

I'm talking to myself again aren't I?

Ho hum

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/05/2008 14:11

Not any more

You can not break the yolk on a fried egg, what do you dip your chips in?!!

Mmmmm fried egg and chips, haven't had that for agessssssssssssssss!

Jelly and ice cream, everytime

calsworld · 13/05/2008 14:13

hello!

I decided to go for banana and custard as that salad isn't going to fill me up for long coz i'm a pig it wasn't that big

And DS's mini fairy cakes need eating - he seems to have gone off them

calsworld · 13/05/2008 14:15

And that gives me a well balanced meal - except for iron, clearly not enough iron in that meal so will definitely have to break into the chocolates in a bit
