Hi CarpeDiem75 I am hoping you have a true positive there, rather than one caused by medication. It is so horrible not knowing. Hopefully, you will have a stronger line in a couple of days but this process us so, so slow!

@Jecca88 Realky sorry to hear this. I am surprised they have asked you to stop your meds until there is some certainty though. Seems to me they could have fpsuggested two days more then retest p, but. Hooe you are okay. Sending a hug x

@Hopeandfaith1990 what an awful experience, WTTW are just a money making machine- I know have to look the other way when we drive past it I feel so traumautised by it all. It sounds like you're having a much better experience now with the IVF- rooting for you that there's more good news around the corner.

@Jecca88 agree with a PP that it seems a bit early to be calling it a chemical, I still have everything crossed that there's a darker line there very soon. Sending hugs, I know how anxious you must feel.

@Objectiontime hoping the time until the 12 week scan passes as quickly as it can for you. I've never got there, though have had 2 booked in and they both felt like light years away.

@Gizmo1983 thinking of you- hope you get some more good news soon with the NIPT results.

Nothing to report here, slightly anxious about moving into 'actively trying' in a few weeks and trying to enjoy two weeks that aren't a TWW!

Thank you Fletchasketch. I have to say that on my previous pregnancies the 12 week scan appointments have arrived in the post a little two efficiently and twice I had already miscarried only to get the letters s couple of days later, Amazing how efficient the NHS can be when you could well do without it!

I did another FRER test this morning and I still have a line but it seems even fainter so sounds like a chemical… my period are due within the next few days (which I won’t get since I have not stopped the progesterone!) but I will try to test on Sunday with CB that says either pregnant/not pregnant…and that’s it for me I guess 😔 sometimes I would rather not know that I was pregnant.. when it is to be so early, it is even more hurtful…😭😭

Oh my love @CarpeDiem75 i know exactly what you mean. It’s such torture giving a positive to then have it taken away so quickly. I am so fed up with my body - like why do that. How many positives have you had? Have you seen any line progression in any of them? I have tested today and I don’t think I can see a line now. I just want to start the bleeding though and I have had nothing since the spotting on Sunday night. My boobs are so sore and I felt dreadful yesterday - not sure if it was hormonal but such a headache and exhausted.

@CarpeDiem75and @Jecca88I’m so sorry, all the ups and downs just sucks so much 😞 I hate testing early and seeing a positive and all the anxiety and hoping that comes with it. I’d rather not know too! And feeling the symptoms are a total mind f*!
Picking myself up again after each time is just so hard. Hope you can plan some nice distractions. Big hugs to you both xx

@Jecca88inonly had one faint positive at 11dpo and a very faint positive this morning at 13dpo… so no going the right way! I have no symptoms whatsoever either! This morning I was looking at all the drugs in my plate and was thinking what’s the point to do this to my body if my body is not willing to keep a baby… I will probably be the same as you on Sunday when I retest .. no like either. Have you stopped all the medication yet? I will stop on Sunday/Monday if negative .I am sending you a big virtual hug xx

Thanks @ALittleLight i do think sometimes if we didn't have to test so early - would we even know we are having chemical pregnancy (I hate that term), but i am now 5 days late for my period so i would have tested anyway. Going away on sunday down to cornwall so hoping i can enjoy :)

@CarpeDiem75 its insane what we are putting our bodies through. I am so sorry love that its so confusing. Let's see what happens Sunday. I stopped all the pred and progesterone since Tuesday now. Just really wanting the miscarriage to happen. sending loads of love xx

@Jecca88 totally agree! I've only ever tested when I was 3 days late for that reason, I am really not looking forward to having to test at 10 days every month.

@Jecca88i keep trying to find positive stories on the internet but I deep down know it is bad news. I spoke to the clinic yesterday and they told me that up to when my period is due I can stop taking the steroid without weaning off.. so I think that’s me from now on I don’t test anymore at 10dpo I will do what I used to do ie few days after missing my periods!! It is too hard otherwise. Such a rollercoaster of emotions! I imagine that if I don’t stop my progesterone I won’t get my periods, right?🙄

I get you there. The Chemicals are so annoying! Here’s hoping for things to get going for you and you getting a positive tomorrow x

@CarpeDiem75 i am totally with you my love. lets not lose all hope yet though. but it is the hope that breaks us.

I have just started bleeding, which tbh is a relief as i just want to move forward, but also just mehhhhh.

Here is to starting the IVF next month - likely on my 37th Birthday.

@Jecca88 Sorry it hasnt worked out for you this time. Keeping everything crossed your your IVF cycle.
@CarpeDiem75 Hooe you are okay. Not so sure about progesterone stopping a period starting. I have heard various views and experiences on it to be honest.

Does anyone know what Dr S thinks about the best time to wan off the pred? My specialist wants me to continue the dose till the end of trimester 1, if I get that far and then retest NK cells and cytokynes. I am more than happy to do this so i will go with it but I found an article on tge dreaded Dr Google yesterday from about 2 years ago where someone was saying their consultant wanted them to stay on their pred dose, 20 mg I think it was, until the end of the second trimester at least in case the NK and cytokine activity started to attack the placenta,
I'm sure I read somewhere that Dr S believes that around 10 weeks is probably the safe zone so weaning from 12 should be okay.
Like I said, I'm going to follow my consultants instructions but I am praying he doesnt want me to stay in the full dose of pred for that long. If i wean from 13 weeks i will obviously be 17 weeks anyway by the tune i take my last dose i think.
Any thoughts gratefully received.

@Objectiontime I can tell you exactly what Shehata has put in the plan re: progesterone. Wean off the progesterone by reducing the dose by 5mgs every 5 days, so if you start on 25mgs, you’d be off them completely by 16 weeks or slightly after. Hope that helps and hope all still going well for you.

Hi guys so sorry I went awol. It was my 42nd birthday on Tuesday which was lovely on the night I started with an awful headache that turned into a horrific 4 day long migraine I’ve literally been face down in bed with an air con unit blowing in my face as my consultant didn’t want me taking my triptans I’ve had to ride it out. I haven’t read any posts or anything I’ll catch up as soon as I can. Love to all and thanks so much for asking after me I’ll be back very soon ❤️❤️❤️

@Objectiontimewell I think my positive test was a fake negative due to my trigger shot, did a digital and not pregnant and my period are on time! So in some ways it makes me feel better as it is. It an chemical! @Gizmo1983 hope your migraine go away soon must be hard with this heat as well. Xx

@Objectiontime weaning off from 12 weeks rings a bell, it takes so long to be properly off it by 5mg per week doesn't it. How are you feeling?

I'm starting my injections for transfer on Sunday. Its a long process!! They're estimating a transfer around 11th Aug which seems like so far away. Starting the meds will at least make me feel like I'm doing something/making some progress anyway. We're going to Spain on Monday for a week, the second they said 'transfer in a month's time' I knew I had to start booking things in to pass the time or I'd just go insane. Probs will go insane anyway haha.

@CarpeDiem75 oh, how annoying but you are right in so many ways. Not being pregnant is just a luck of the draw thing but chemicals, for those of us with immune issues are another matter. Forwards with positive thoughts for you hun x

@Fletchasketch - I am certain you mean prednisone when you say progesterone. As it happens I'm on that tok u til 14 weeks apparently. Thank you so much for letting me know. I thought that was the case. I've been told 13 weeks but then I wasnt able to have any intralipids so that may be a precaution he wants to take just in case xxx

@Fletchasketch So sorry, you asked how I was doing. I'm not bad, thank you. Still very anxious of course but trying to remain positive. Still pretty nausius but feeling very lucky!

@Hopeandfaith1990 I am so hopeful for you re the transfer. Itp would love to say the time will pass quickly but I would be wrong, I know. I got my positive at 9 doo, which has never happened to me before and the time since then feels like it's barely moved!

Thank you, too, for the note re the pred. I thought Dr S usually said 12 weeks. I have got to get to 13 but it may be up because of no intralipids, I am fine, huge though!! People are starting to look at me suspiciously already!! Think its pred and progesterone bloat. Hope you have a fantastic holiday xxx

we’re all just wishing time away on this journey aren’t we 🤣 I said to my husband I wish I could be put in a coma and woken up at 12 weeks preg 😂 or better yet like 35 weeks.

how many weeks are you now? I’m sure it’s just bloat but also how exciting to have a bump even a small one!!

Currently about nine and a half weeks for me and I agree re the sleeping and waking up towards the end somewhere, I think, if I get to 20 weeks I might feel better, but... xxx
