@Jecca88 I swear I have line eyes …. I’m sure I could see a shadow/line this morning ! But I’m pretty sure by 12 dpo the line would be more visible and there wouldn’t be any doubt ??? God it’s such a head FUK !!!!!!! 😅😅😅 tomorrow is scan day ……. Sooooo close !! I’m going to literally be thinking of you from the minute I wake tomorrow , what time is it ? Xxx

Jecca88 · 18/12/2024 09:30

oh @Meg310532 i am hopeful. has your partner looked - what does he think?

its usually so clear if there is not a line as nothing will show.

yeh annoyingly its at 2pm so have to wait all morning :(

OP posts:
Meg310532 · 18/12/2024 09:42

@Jecca88 my partner has said he sees something, I swear every single test I have seen SOMETHING but I don’t know if it’s either my eyes or these tests are just showing indent lines ! Do you think 12dpo would be a lot clearer now ? Maybe it’s another chemical coming ! Urghh god .

oh man 2pm that’s so annoying , will you also be having another infusion at that stage or are you not due one ? When do you start reducing rhe steriods ? X

Jecca88 · 18/12/2024 10:17

@Meg310532 i feel like it could still be faint at 12 dpo. What about when you take a pic of it? does it show?

so if the scan goes well i will be due another intralipid tomorrow. Steroids don't stop until 14 weeks i think.

Meg310532 · 18/12/2024 11:32

@Jecca88 I lost the strip down the dash in my car as I kept looking it on the drive to work 🙈! I’m going to have to take another one tomorrow morning. I’m due on my period on either Friday or Saturday so I suppose I will know for certain in a couple of days!!
Ahh okay I read on the treatment plan that they start reducing the steroids by 5mg every 5 days but I wasn’t sure what week that was from.
xx

Newbeginnings22023 · 18/12/2024 13:51

Hi @Jecca88 thanks so much for creating a new thread. I tried to do this myself and worried I wasn’t doing it the right way.

hoping everything goes smoothly for you and I’m sorry you had to deal with insensitive people. Most women take it for granted that they can get pregnant whenever they want and stay pregnant, they don’t think of others who find this all a struggle.

Hi @v60 i hope you’re doing ok, sorry to hear your news. Hope you’re ok too @Meg310532

I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis a couple of weeks ago, on top of my endometriosis, so this was new to me. A weird feeling but can’t say I’m surprised because my periods have just been too heavy lately and I knew something was up. So the plan now is to undergo a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy and wait to try again.

hope everyone else is ok xx

Jecca88 · 19/12/2024 15:30

@Meg310532 how is it looking today?

@Newbeginnings22023 i am so sorry to hear about your latest diagnosis, good luck with the hysteroscopy - are you having it at the CRP?

update from me on my scan today - all looks good, caught up on growth and strong heartbeat. Honestly I’m in disbelief - thought I was going to die before from a heart attack. Mr Silva Edge was so lovely. Just gotta get through the next two weeks.

sending love to everyone x

@Jecca88 omg this is AMAZING news ! I am soooooo happy for you hun! What an amazing Xmas present to you. So so happy for you.
I came on my period today :( woke up with such bad pains at 3am! I have my next follicle scan for next cycle on 30th December. Hoping 2025 will be my year xx

Jecca88 · 19/12/2024 15:36

Oh @Meg310532 I’m so sorry! Thank you for your well wishes esp when you have had shit news. Sending positive thoughts for next cycle. Does this mean you can enjoy the hot tub and glass of bubbles when you go away? Trying to find any positive ❤️

OP posts:
Meg310532 · 19/12/2024 15:50

@Jecca88 yes hun it does … some prosecco in the hot tub will deff help soften the blow 🥰!! I suppose it’s only my first month with the clinic isn’t it I can’t be to disheartened . I’m just soo hoping that it doesn’t take me ages to get pregnant as it’s obvs £980 every months try. Did dr Shehata say anything to u about drinking and stuff whilst trying to get pregnant ? I have had such a heavy month of birthdays/and parties etc that I’m thinking maybe from Jan to have some months off drinking to help me fall pregnant?
i bet you feel so much relief don’t you that you are progressing in the right direction! Did they reassure you everything was amazing on the scan? Do they go into quite a bit of detail with reassurance ? X x xx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 19/12/2024 16:44

@Jecca88 Lovely to hear all is looking good on your scan ❤️

Jecca88 · 19/12/2024 17:02

@Meg310532 I have always got pregnant on my second intralipids with CRP! Let’s keep fingers crossed for next time. Did he say you defo need the follicle scan? Could you just do intralipids? I actually think the first scan is always more expensive so hopefully this will be a bit cheaper.

I do love a drink so I did ask him about drinking when ttc and he didn’t have much to say just follow nhs guidelines. I definitely cut down and didn’t drink much in the week of ovulation and was careful post ovulation. I have been searching for loads of non alcoholic drinks/alternatives for the festive season to try and get me in the spirit.

Meg310532 · 19/12/2024 17:21

@Jecca88 ahh thats good to know about it always working on your second intrapalid. I will have my fingers crossed I am the same !!! Would be so amazing to start the new year off like that ! The follicle scan is because I’m doing the letrozole super ovulation so he has to check my follicles to tell me when to take the trigger injection to release the follicles. Dr Shehata was fully booked though so I have dr edge ? Is that who you had today? I always hope it’s going to be dr Shehata as he’s the main man !
Have you got many symptoms at the moment or do you think the steroids are masking them ? As I have heard a lot of people don’t have symptoms whilst on steroids ! X x x

Jecca88 · 20/12/2024 08:05

@Meg310532 ahh yes sorry I remember!Ahhh dr edge is so lovely, she has always done our scans and had such empathy and yesterday she had so much anxiety for us, she literally told me instantly she saw a heartbeat and put me at ease. All the nurses too were so happy when they heard - and gave big hugs. The scan has caught up and growth looks great and strong heartbeat - so she said it couldn’t have gone better. I think the 10 week one is the most important - just need to get past that on there 2nd of Jan.
symptom wise - my boobs are so sore, I have hormonal spots, night sweats, loads of weeing and generally feeling knackered. I’ve never actually been sick in pregnancy - but when I haven’t eaten I do feel a bit nauseas.

OP posts:
Meg310532 · 20/12/2024 13:42

@Jecca88 wow that is sooo lovely how caring everyone was & how much they reassured you. Your story is giving me so much hope and excitement for the new year honestly 🥰🥰. 2nd of Jan will be an amazing day for you I’m sure of it !! I’m excited for the 30th already to have my scan & see how many follicles I have praying for a nice healthy three so that they allow me to trigger :))) x x x x

Meg310532 · 30/12/2024 10:33

Hey @Jecca88 how are you doing hun ?? I am currently having my infusion. Things were a lot better this cycle. Three dominant follicles so I get to trigger on Wednesday and a good lining too. Fingers crossed for this cycle !!!! X

Jecca88 · 30/12/2024 22:34

Hey @Meg310532 ohh great news about the lining and follicles. I have a good feeling for you this month. How was your Xmas? Have you had your trip away?
how was the intralipid?
im 10 weeks today and this past week I have really struggled with nausea, tiredness and food aversions, basically all I do is lie around and try and stomach fruit. I don’t feel like eating anything. I’m praying we continue to get good news this week at our scan. I printed a photo of our little bean and stuck it on the Fridge to try and keep a bit of hope and have a bit of a connection, but also want to protect myself. Xx

Newbeginnings22023 · 31/12/2024 09:27

Hi @Jecca88 sorry for taking a while to respond. First of all I’m really happy to hear your good news, long may it continue and best of luck with your scan this week xx I’m doing my procedure with my gyno, not at CRP. Hoping it will treat my heavy periods, unpleasant symptoms, and hopefully fertility issues. Thinking ahead, I have one more embryo left but I think I won’t use it and instead go for superovulation at CRP. It seems a lot more straightforward.

I had a really bad day yesterday. Our cleaner announced her pregnancy with her second child although she’s only 6 weeks. She’s been telling the world and has been ttc for two months. My problem isn’t with her personally, I genuinely am happy for her, but it was a bitter reminder of where I’m at and how I’ve been there 5 times previously but could never announce the news to anyone because the pregnancies didn’t continue. I wish it were that easy for all women to plan their pregnancy and rely on the fact that they will continue normally.

@Meg310532 I hope it’s second time lucky for you, all the best for this round xx

Meg310532 · 01/01/2025 09:59

@Jecca88 happy new year!! The infusion was All good thank you & it was soooo nice to have Dr silva she was SO lovely, I almost want to continue with her now as I felt I gelled with her so well. Took my trigger shot this morning so ovulation is tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed for this month. What date is your scan??? I have everything crossed for you, so good that you have got all these symptoms as that is deff a good sign isn’t it. It’s so hard to get the balance right of protecting yourself & connecting isn’t it, I wonder what week we will allow ourselves to feel excitement… it definitely tarnished the normal excitement people have doesn’t it. I’m away at the moment at centre parcs, counting down the new year felt emotional last night, hoping that 2025 is all of our years.

@Newbeginnings22023 thanks so much hun! Superovulation is straight forward & deff a good option to get more eggs for a cycle, it’s about £830 for the superovulation cycle and all the meds and pre ovulation infusion. The first round was just short of £1,000 so I’m hoping it happens quick for me. Xxx

Jecca88 · 02/01/2025 12:27

I’m sorry to hear that @Newbeginnings22023 when people announce so early with certainty it can be so crushing. My friend who did the same to me recently and had no doubt actually just told me she had a missed miscarriage - which I feel awful for her, as she was convinced it would be straightforward like her other two.

hope you’re hystercopy goes well - when is it booked for?

@Meg310532 happy new year babe! How did the trigger shot go yesterday? Hopefully you have been getting busy 😏
just on my way back from my 10 week scan and all went well. Measuring bang on 10.3 and nice strong heartbeat. Still in disbelief. Saw the baby shaking its bum and wiggling about. Dr edge said we are out danger zone for immune miscarriage and next step is the nuchal scan to check for chromosomal. Maybe this really is our time. Love to all and hope 2025 brings us all the luck and positivity we all deserve.

@Jecca88 omg I literally just cried !!!!!! This is honestly the BEST news ever ! I actually am
sooooooooo happy for you, what absolutely amazing news for the new year !!!!! I bet you are absolutely over the moon!! And to see them wriggling about omg what a bloody feeling that must be wow! Do you feel any more confident ?? I bet Dr silva was so happy too wasnt she, what a lovely woman she is ! Trigger shot went well mate I literally tested the strongest ovulation test so I know it’s in my body. Deff been getting busy, legs in the air , beetroot juice being drunk and just trying to relax and not get too stressed. So nervous, really want this to be the month !!!!! Xxx

Jecca88 · 02/01/2025 18:44

Oh @Meg310532 you’re so sweet! That’s means so much. I just burst out laughing at your one - legs in the air - we have all been there. I have everything crossed for you! Only 8 days more to wait 🤞🏼

I do feel incredibly lucky and just so grateful we have got to this stage. Still so long to go but each scan feeling a bit better.

spoke to some lovely ladies in the intralipid room today - one of them cried and I just wanted to give her a hug. Both early pregnancy and just riddled with anxiety. We are all in this together and just rooting for one another. X

Sorry to hijack this thread, does anyone know how to get a referral to dr Shehata on the nhs? Also does he do the same or similar protocol for nhs patients?

Meg310532 · 02/01/2025 21:19

@Jecca88 haha I always laugh when I do it after ! Not sure how much difference it makes but I have to try everything lol!! Aww that’s so nice that you got to speak to people in the same situation in the infusion room. When I was in the waiting room I was with two pregnant ladies and it just gave me so much hope to seeing first hand the results of this treatment plan. So what do they have to do for the chromosome test ? Does that cost too? X x x
