Oh Star I'm so sorry. I really do hope its nothing and that you can get back to TTC soon. You must come and keep us up to date with how you are getting on.

We're all here so feel free to dump your feelings on us.

Playingthewaitinggame · 30/04/2008 12:25

Hi Star - sorry about your news. I'm sure its nothing and your GP is just being thorough. Its actually quite nice to know that although she thinks its cystic fibroids that she isn't prepared to take any chances so wants to be thorough. I would take it as a positive sign of a good gp and maybe in the scheme of things delaying things 2 months so you can get checked out isn't too bad? I think i would rather know then spend a pg wondering!

Squack · 30/04/2008 12:40

Ooh Tinks looks like you're pg!

calsworld · 30/04/2008 12:41

Oh Star, I'm sorry for your news too, hopefully you'll fall quickly once you do start TTC. Don't you dare go anywhere though - this thread is for those waiting to TTC too!

Teuch - that's amazing, I've never looked on the net for articles linking my periods and eczema before coz when I mentioned it to my doctor (years ago!) they said I was wrong and there was no link. I guess the thinking has changed!

Think I'll mention this to the doctor. The only time I haven't suffered at all with it is when I was pregnant with DS, it was lovely. I was really worried too as I'm always popping anti-histamines normally, but couldn't when PG, but then didn't need to. Thinking about it, I've hardly taken any since having him either maybe DS was some sort of magical cure

well maybe not but its another good reason for having another one!!!

Starshinetiger · 30/04/2008 12:52

Thanks girls. I am sure it's nothing too and I guess better be safe than sorry. Should really have got it checked out a couple of months ago and then we would have been waiting to TTC anyway, but never mind. DH was sweet - still want to keep "practising" and said that my health is more important than bringing another life onto the planet - I love DH! All being well, I'll be back on here this time next month (or, knowing NHS maybe month after) to say that it's all fine and we're GOFing left, right and centre!! Serves me right for browsing maternity dresses yesterday in preparation for two weddings we've got in October and December this year
Ooh Tink - a sign you might be pg? How exciting!
How interesting to see links between eczema and menstrual cycle.
I am so daft - I read Teuch's post on previous page saying "doesn't explain wee bursts mid-cycle though" and wondered where you had said that you were going to the loo more frequently mid-cycle Cals! - only when I re-read did I realise that you meant wee as in little bursts, Teuch!! I often think that I really am blond underneath (no offence to blondes)!

NatalieJane · 30/04/2008 13:08

Star, firstly sorry you have this worry, but it might not be the end of TTC'ing for now. When I was pregnant with DS1, I got to about 12 weeks, and I found a lump, I went to GP's they sent me an emergency appointment for a few days later at the hospital, I had an ultrasound on my boob (I remember joking to the sonographer that I'd slip him a tenner if he accidently put it on my belly instead!), and they did a biopsy while we were there, they don't HAVE to do a mammogram. As it turned out it was just a harmless fatty lump, they said I'd have to have it removed after delivery, but it dissapeared soon after I had him. Obviously as Playing said it might be more sensible to wait, but I just wanted you let you know what will happen if if you did get pregnant first. And echo what Cals said, this thread is for waiting to TTC'ers, don't you go anywhere young lady!!

If it puts your mind at rest, it did also ache, in the same way you describe, and it was mobile so it would shift about.

I've been shopping, I got gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous cushions for the sofas, how sad am I getting excited about cushions?!! But they make the room look so so so different! Only thing is now, I need some new accessories in the same colour ways!

Got a load of other crap as well, including some pretty funky pumps for me, 2 t-shirts for DH, some new stationary for DS1 (I threw all of his out yesterday, every single last bit of it, forgetting that he needs at least the bascis for his homework , I should buy shares in Crayola! ) And I bought a long floaty-ish top that should go towards tiding me over for the few days it will take for maternity stuff to arrive! I have officially gone insane!

NatalieJane · 30/04/2008 13:11

....not only insane, but my poor exclamation button is going to wear out soon, need to get out of the habit of using it so damn much!

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 13:17

I overuse mine too Nat. I seem to have at least 1 in every post.

NatalieJane · 30/04/2008 13:25

I seem to have one after every word sometimes

I just went to do one at the end of that

Moosma · 30/04/2008 13:36

Lets see yer cushions Nat, link please?!

Sorry about your news Star, like Nat says they can do ultrasound scans (which I think is what they do anyway if they find something on the mammogram that they want to have a proper look at), I'm sure you'll be back at it again soon!

Also, I read Teuch's post like that too, but I am blond so I can get away with being dim

DD1 seems a bit better today, she has had half a rich tea finger, 2 nibbles of banana and about a fifth of a mini roll for lunch but seems happier than yesterday.

Yes Star, I did forget to say you are aloud to be here if your waiting ttc - I mean I am, been here since Jan and not ttc till Sept!

TheSlightestTeuch · 30/04/2008 14:01

apologies for the confusion with my damned dialect ...not only am I blonde, but I am Scottish too...

Star - sorry to hear you have this hanging over you, but hopefully it will be resolved or other options are available as NJ says, and you can get on with planning your family addition/s!

Glad to hear DD better today Moos

Squacky - I'm worried you are having come kind of teenage-esque hormone rush...

NatalieJane · 30/04/2008 14:04

Can't get an exact link, they are just from a local bedding shop, but they are in the same sort of style as [[http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/homeware/softfurnishings/26/1 these] We have dark brown leather sofas, green carpet, they look lovely IMO, just need some more green things to balance the room out a bit.

Glad DD1 seems a bit better Moos

NatalieJane · 30/04/2008 14:05

Bolox cushions

NatalieJane · 30/04/2008 14:07

Actually, some of the green things on that link look nice..... oh how I wish Next didn't piss me off enough to close my account! Why can't they just be normal and have normal delivery without having to have a credit account with them?

I love green, my kitchen has green floor and wall tiles, my living room and dining room are green and brown, and my hall way is cream, green and pink (I know that sound rough, but it looks lovely!) oh and the bathroom is green now!

Fucking exclamation marks..... grrrrrrr

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 14:33

GJ, we must have the same flat. Its all bloody magnolia and woodchip!! Its bloody minging!

Why do I get involved in BF VS FF? Why oh why?

Starshinetiger · 30/04/2008 15:11

Thanks NJ for your experience - glad it all worked out for you and am sure it will be the same for me. As I said, I'm being a bit of a drama queen . Am sure it is nothing, but I am such weird in that I'm a planner and control freak, but not organised enough always to be one - hence being in the situation where I've planned for months that we'll start ttc this month, but forgetting to get my boob checked out in the meantime (think I kinda thought it might go away).
Moos, glad DD2 is starting to feel better.
GJ & Kay know what you mean about wanting to decorate your own place, but do enjoy not needing to decorate - once you start, you just don't stop! (NJ - now you've made me realise just how much I use the ! too - I've held off about 4 times before using it just then).

Right, I really must get some work done now. See you later IYKWIM.

TheSlightestTeuch · 30/04/2008 15:13

oh my god....

I have just discovered 'Bedroom TV' on SKY (MUSIC channel you norty minds )...

People actually send in their own videos for pop songs...

Car crash tv if ever there was...I'm transfixed

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 15:14

I don't want to to go back to work this evening. I cant be bothered.

Speak to you later or sometime tomorrow. I am at work all day tomorrow and its pants.

Squack · 30/04/2008 15:17

Star sorry to hear your news, hope everything turns up rosy

I'm not strutting anywhere outside my house with FM shoes (Dh calls shoes like that bedroom shoes)

I too fall foul of hyper-exclaiming, I can't help it either! (see)

Well I've got cramps and backache, woke up with a sore throat this morning and generally feel like shite.

Have been grumpy & bossy all day because I haven't had proper sleep for the last 3 days I had a large glass of wine last night in the hope it would help me sleep, which it did until midnight, when I woke up with cramps, then I tossed and turned until 6am when I gave up

Oh and I'm sick of being 'wet', every hour I'm off to the loo to wipe

< sigh>

TheSlightestTeuch · 30/04/2008 15:23

where are you in your cycle Squack (and take those shoes off!)

NJ - lady on the mc threads looking for reassurance about bleeding in early pg!
