OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 07:05

I have ordered some stuff already Nat. There isn't a shop here selling maternity clothes so I have got a few tops and some trousers.

I think it is a very sensible idea.

I have got back into my watching baby programs. Good thing DH isn't here as he always moaned.

NatalieJane · 30/04/2008 07:29

Yes but you're pregnant, I most deffo am not!

I can't be the first person to buy clothes in advance, can I? And if I stick to the basics, then if it took 6 months to get pregnant, so I'd be needing winter stuff more than summer stuff, then I can't go too wrong, can I? I just don't like being at the point like I was last month when my belly was huge, and not being able to wear anything with out hair boubles wrapped round the button on my trousers, and tops that stopped short of my belly button!

I think I am going mad..... but I think I am going to do it anyway! Especially because if it does happen sooner rather than later, I won't be able to hide my bare belly under my coat!

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 07:34

I do think its a good idea.

Now me wanting to buy baby clothes already is stupid. Its all summer stuff so it would be no good buying anything.

NatalieJane · 30/04/2008 07:39

LOL I had the same problem with DS2 (December baby as well) I consoled myself with buying vests, sleepsuits, muslins, bibs, socks etc. of course it meant that he ended up with about 100 new born vests, that he had grown out of by the time he was 2 weeks old!! LOL

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 07:40

I keep looking at girls clothes and dh keeps moaning at me for it. I might order some nice white vests etc. Just to kerb the craving for baby clothes.

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 08:11

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 08:13

Morning Tink.

Whenever anyone mentions Paul Ince I always think of that England match where he cut his head and he was all wrapped in bandages.

NatalieJane · 30/04/2008 08:20

Bleeding gums are good Tink Change your toothbrush to a softer one.

Right I am off to do school/town, see you all later xxx

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 08:33

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 08:49

You all must help me not drink any coca cola!! I am craving it so badly and I have drank far too much of it.

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 08:50

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 08:54

I will have to. I'll have to stick with lemonade!

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 09:21

make sure it is low sugar lemonade to save your teeth.
is it raining with you it is chucking it down here
debating whether to go out for something to do

calsworld · 30/04/2008 09:28

Quick sneek peak to see what you're up to...NJ, go for it - like you say, some sensible trousers and a couple of tops wouldn't hurt would it!

I'm not symptom spotting......

Cycle update:
Today CD18
BD: 13, 14, 15, 16, 17

Going to keep up the BD's for longer than we did last couple of cycles as think I'm OVing later than before I had DS, as cycles have been longer. Is that right?

Also, need a hormone expert...my eczema always gets worse about a day before I start my period for a few days, then gets better again for a couple of weeks, but then I have a little bad patch, before it gets better, ready for the next AF. Is there a hormone that is present at OV time and AF start that could be causing it? Is it some kind of clue as to my cycle and OVing that I'm missing?

In the office today but will try a couple more sneak peeks - got to stay sane! Have good days and don't get wet with all that rain!

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 09:29

No its not but it looks like its going to.

I have to go to the dentist on Friday and they will moan at me probably. I am having problems brushing my teeth in the morning as it makes me feel sick.

Squack · 30/04/2008 09:33

Don't drink any carbonated drinks, it leeches calcium outta bones and the baby will already be doing that.

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 09:38

morning squack
is bleeding gums a sign?

Squack · 30/04/2008 09:39

I get bleeding gums around 12 weeks pg Tink.

M/w told me it was to do with increasing volumes of blood in circulation, once you hit the second trimester, but maybe higher levels of progesterone post-O is also a factor, I'm not sure.
Maybe a little early at 4dpo to be a pg sign lol

Worth switching toothbrushes I'd have thought.

Right I'm off I've got tons to do, later x

Playingthewaitinggame · 30/04/2008 09:41

Morning ladies. Sorry to hear about the bad night sleeps - i have all this to look forward to .

Nat - I don't think you are mad with the mat clothes as long as you stick to basics. You're gonna need them even if it takes ages to get pg and basics aren't seasonal. This way it spreads the cost as well.

Not even going to join in the football chat. My extensive knowledge of football contains 2 pieces of information, they play for 90 mins and have 11 (ohh, not actually sre if that ones right) players on each team. thats it.

Hi to everyone I have missed

kayzisexpecting · 30/04/2008 10:44

I'm trying to bribe DS to have a long nap just after Lunch. I am so tired today and I have to go back to work this evening.

TheSlightestTeuch · 30/04/2008 11:05

Cal here...no mention of why you would get a wee burst mid-cycle though, if it is progesterone-related.

Last pregnancy I could not stomach flat juice or water...made me gag. Ditto plain milk, so it was flavoured milk and fizzy water for me.

We can both nap GJ. Providing you can help bribe DS he wants a long nap.

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 11:50

found info about bleeding gums early on here

Starshinetiger · 30/04/2008 12:14

Think may have to duck out of the thread for a while I'm afraid ladies . I need to braindump, so excuse the long post - feel free to ignore it. Also, I really don't want to be a drama queen, as it's probably nothing, but part of me thinks that the more drama queenish I am, the more likely it will all turn out to be nothing and I'd rather be embarrassed that it all turn out to be something...

Just got back from Docs. Have been feeling some discomfort in my right boob for a while - no consistent lump, but feel something when lifting my boob into my bra and it's sometimes uncomfortable when I lie on my front or lean my boob against something (now querying when I would actually do that unless the something is DH , LOL). So, thought, ho hum, it's been a few months, should probably get this checked out before we actually TTC. Star being Star, I wait until about a week before I'm due to ovulate to actually get to see doc. Was hoping she would just say, it's nothing, get on with TTC and at least I would know I got it checked out. Which, she sort of did - said its cystic fibroids (or something?), but then kind of deliberated with herself. Said 10-12 years ago she would have just said, don't be so silly and on your way, but that they seem to refer everyone nowadays and yes, she would refer me to breast clinic. Won't be an urgent referral for appt within 2 weeks, as she's not worried. Did say though that obviously if I got pg in meantime, they couldn't do mammogram...
So, waiting for DH to get back from dropping DS at childminder (he's in work this afternoon and eve and I'm working from home today), then guess we need to have a chat about what we do re. TTC.
Silly thing is, I bet we won't fall pg straight away, so a couple of months of waiting to TTC while I have my appointment will eat further into the time until we do conceive, but if we don't wait and get pg quickly and then they need to do more tests... Aaaaagh, I don't know!!!
Anyway, as I say, I'm sure it's nothing and I hope I haven't put a downer on your days, but I just kind of needed to dump my (very fresh) thinking on here.
Kayz, hope you manage to get DS to nap. DS was about 14-15 months when we switched him from 2 naps to one longer one at lunchtime, which does have big advantages.
For those of you wanting drinks you can stomach when you have morning sickness, I can really recommend Lucozade Sport berry (or orange if you prefer). I didn't even like water when I had morning sickness, but my Mum suggested lucozade and I tried the berry lucozade sport and it really hit the spot on what I could stomach and keep down. HTH
