Think may have to duck out of the thread for a while I'm afraid ladies . I need to braindump, so excuse the long post - feel free to ignore it. Also, I really don't want to be a drama queen, as it's probably nothing, but part of me thinks that the more drama queenish I am, the more likely it will all turn out to be nothing and I'd rather be embarrassed that it all turn out to be something...
Just got back from Docs. Have been feeling some discomfort in my right boob for a while - no consistent lump, but feel something when lifting my boob into my bra and it's sometimes uncomfortable when I lie on my front or lean my boob against something (now querying when I would actually do that unless the something is DH , LOL). So, thought, ho hum, it's been a few months, should probably get this checked out before we actually TTC. Star being Star, I wait until about a week before I'm due to ovulate to actually get to see doc. Was hoping she would just say, it's nothing, get on with TTC and at least I would know I got it checked out. Which, she sort of did - said its cystic fibroids (or something?), but then kind of deliberated with herself. Said 10-12 years ago she would have just said, don't be so silly and on your way, but that they seem to refer everyone nowadays and yes, she would refer me to breast clinic. Won't be an urgent referral for appt within 2 weeks, as she's not worried. Did say though that obviously if I got pg in meantime, they couldn't do mammogram...
So, waiting for DH to get back from dropping DS at childminder (he's in work this afternoon and eve and I'm working from home today), then guess we need to have a chat about what we do re. TTC.
Silly thing is, I bet we won't fall pg straight away, so a couple of months of waiting to TTC while I have my appointment will eat further into the time until we do conceive, but if we don't wait and get pg quickly and then they need to do more tests... Aaaaagh, I don't know!!!
Anyway, as I say, I'm sure it's nothing and I hope I haven't put a downer on your days, but I just kind of needed to dump my (very fresh) thinking on here.
Kayz, hope you manage to get DS to nap. DS was about 14-15 months when we switched him from 2 naps to one longer one at lunchtime, which does have big advantages.
For those of you wanting drinks you can stomach when you have morning sickness, I can really recommend Lucozade Sport berry (or orange if you prefer). I didn't even like water when I had morning sickness, but my Mum suggested lucozade and I tried the berry lucozade sport and it really hit the spot on what I could stomach and keep down. HTH
