I'm so impatient and couldn't hold out to tomorrow morning to test again so took a trip to tesco and... the easy @ home was a squinter but CB is undeniable!!

I can't believe it...I've had a few symptoms but ones I put down to my period due soon!!

  • Feeling a bit queasy - not bad at all, just noticeable
  • Very spotty - more than usual for pre-period spots but I have had the odd cycle where its been this bad before my period
  • Perhaps my funniest symptom and the one that did make me think 'hmmm maybe I am' - I saw a tik tok of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders performing their thunderstruck routine and cried at the end it moved me so much???😂

That’s amazing!!! Massive congratulations!

LS888 · 02/09/2024 20:56

@ksbgTTC congratulations!! Amazing news ❤️

I’m just about to go on holiday. All signs point to ovulation on or around day 19 which is also my husbands birthday. He knows this too so is very keen. First cycle after our MMC so not putting pressure on it. Not taking ovulation tests on holiday. Just going to have sex everyday if I have enough energy from running around after our 13 month old who has just started to walk! 🤦🏼‍♀️

MrsKurz · 03/09/2024 16:33

I got my peak! Question: should I keep taking ovulation tests until the temping confirms ovulation happened?

here’s pics of my tests and my chart currently:

I have done previous months, but this month (when conceived) I stopped as soon as I saw LH drop back down after peak, for me this was a matter of hours later

Thank you! Of course, cycle 3 TTC #1. We feel very fortunate to have conceived so quickly.

This month I started tracking BBT, this didn't help me to conceive obviously but it did settle my worries around if I ovulated so maybe feeling more relaxed helps.

We BD day before peak, day of peak, and for two days after.

I've learned that my peak happens VERY fast, it goes from very low to peak within a few hours and I'm lucky to get one day of flashing on CB advanced. Because of this, this month I tested LH on cheap strips 3x a day in the run up to ovulation. and as I don't get a steady rise, started BD in the premom predicted fertile window.

I've been taking folic acid and Vitamin D since March (3 months before we started TTC).

In the run-up to ovulation and during the TWW I didn't change my lifestyle at all. I kept going to the gym, drinking wine, caffeine etc until I got that positive. In previous months I've restricted myself during ovulation and the TWW but didn't this month - I enjoyed the process more and felt a lot more relaxed which I definitely think helped.

Got my digital BFP this morning so hopefully it's a sticky bean! Feels a little surreal as I've no symptoms whatsoever compared to my two previous pregnancies (DD and CP). We were both taking conception supplements this month and used Conceive Plus lube. Not sure if that helped!

@ksbgTTC @TTCIrish thanks - I decided to stop once my test was negative again - I figure there’s really no point wasting more tests!

so we managed to BD on the 2 days before ovulation is predicted (still to be confirmed). We tried to hit ovulation day too but it just didn’t work out.

not feeling amazing about our chances, but I’m officially in the TWW now. I’ll be testing next Sunday 15th, which is the day before AF is due. Luckily we’re on holiday next week and I’m not taking tests with me, so I can’t be tempted!

Silent lurker here but jumping in as I got my digital BFP this morning 🥰. I just wanted to share my experience for any future equally addicted POAS’ers reading this now or in the future!!

I got a positive test around 8DPO with my daughter so I was already a bit obsessed with weeing on a stick from about 6/7DPO. I was using the cheap Amazon one step tests, and on 7 DPO I got two very VERY faint positives, One that came up later and one that came up immediately. I excitedly ordered FRERs that arrived 8DPO but i got such clear BFN’s with no trace of a line at all. I decided it must have been a dodgy batch, and promised myself I wouldn’t buy any more expensive tests again until a missed period. It was a pack of 50 cheap ones though 😂 so I’ve carried on weeing on them. Yesterday (10/11dpo) I started seeing faint lines again. I’ve confirmed with a digital 1-2 weeks now 🥰.

I’ve read on here that some people have a theory that you can catch an HCG Surge at implantation sometimes. This definitely fits with my experience as I have been feeling pretty nauseous, with increasing strength, from 7DPO. Much stronger today.

Wishing everyone else lots of luck and baby dust, and keeping my fingers crossed that this is a sticky bean 🥰❤️

2 days before should do it! X

It can be so tough emotionally when we're putting pressure on a set day to have sex and it just doesn't feel right or work out - can be sad for both involved!! X 💖

Thank you so much !! My DD is 5 so we had been very lax with contraception for a while, and trying to be relaxed about it for a good few months. But this month I decided to go back to how we conceived my DD, so did temping, ovulation tests, close eye on CM and obviously just managed to catch it! 🥰

heartheart89 · 04/09/2024 16:06

Thank you all! Trying to work but keep getting it back out the packet to look at it. Wondering if I should stop drinking anything and test again tonight or leave until the morning lol!

Hello everyone! DP and I are cycle 1 TTC #1, we’ve only just decided to start trying this month. I have sub clinical hypothyroidism and low vit D and lowish folate levels so I’ve only just got everything to optimum in prep for TTC. My cycles have gone a bit haywire the last few months with thyroid meds (4/5 periods in 2 months!) Currently on day 19 and think LH test levels are increasing so hopefully ovulation is back and period can hold off for a bit longer!

When should we DTD, from what I’ve read we should do it 4 ish days before ovulation until around 2 days after. I’ve read that DTD every other day is better than every day, does anyone do the same?

I don’t often notice EWCM and not sure if that will be a problem - I do notice that I am much generally wetter (sorry) around ovulation but not often EW.
