I'm on cycle day 10 today and my husband is away tomorrow afternoon until the afternoon of cycle day 13.

Anyone have any idea if that reduces our chance of having sperm meet egg this month? If I peak on day 13 we should still be able to DTD that day, so we should be alright, right? Overthinking it a bit!!

Defo DTD that day and the day after! We actually did it 2 days after peak and fell pregnant! So can happen! X

rebecca199 · 24/08/2024 22:33

@TTCIrish @MrsKurz thank you both xx
I did speak to them and they've advised to call back in a week if I'm still testing positive.
Bleeding has nearly stopped now and test was darker again this evening, they said maybe implantation bleeding as I'm still only like 13/14dpo (just heavier than you would expect) or early loss so only time will tell!

I did had a heavy implantation bleed with a previous pregnancy but I misscarried that at 8 weeks so I'm not tooooo sure what to think

Hello! Was lurking on the August TTC thread. I am now cycle day 2 of my 28 day cycle.

We obviously didn't get lucky last month despite really "trying" (lol). Yesterday I felt very sad and disappointed and grumpy but trying to pull myself together and move forward.

This would be our second child. My son will be 3 years old soon. With him, I fell pregnant straightaway and kind of expected the same to happen this time which I know is completely unreasonable. I know it is normal to take some time, but it is still gutting and I can't believe how loopy it sent me last month constantly thinking about it so will do my best to chill and focus on being healthy this month.

Totally get the disappointment even though logically it's unlikely the first month - I felt the exact same. Think it's super normal ♥️

Welcome!

Hi! We have decided to try for baby number 3 and got implant taken out end of July. 5 days later I got my period but we only managed to dtd once so doubt we've been lucky enough to catch this month, period due next week, so joining you all for September.

Wishing you all luck.

Kiwiburgh · 25/08/2024 18:36

Bfn today at 12dpo with frer so I'm out this cycle. I don't think i ovulated as I had quite a low peak compared to normal, maybe it was because i had a fever around the begining of my cycle. Just waiting on AF hopefully it comes soon!

Is it possible to not ovulate without some sort of condition? My LH is much lower this month vs last month and it's not increasing say over day. I'm on CD11

Hey, is it okay if I join? Although not actively ttc we are npnt and might have had a happy accident this month as I have definitely noticed lots of symptoms. As not ttc im jot sure exactly how many dpo I am but I have two early response clearblues waiting for me to try. Could be around 8dpo. Hope no one minds me jumping in, but the waiting to test is driving me nuts.

I'm no expert but according to Dr google healthy women can expierence cycles where they don't ovulate.

Oh wow I had no idea

its definitely possible. Apparently it’s called an anovulatory cycle. I guess there’s many reasons the body might not do what it’s supposed to do occasionally

JNSW · 26/08/2024 13:46

Just wondered, has anyone tried Hertility or heard much about it?

Considering giving it ago because if you can’t normally get tested until a year of unsuccessfully TTC then it may give some quicker answers

Room4onemore · 26/08/2024 14:14

Hi can I join please?
I finished my last depo injection in November last year, and started my first period off of it 5 days ago! I’m 42 so time isn’t on my side so I’ve stocked up on ovulation tests and taking my seven seas trying for a baby so fingers crossed for us all

Amber17 · 26/08/2024 14:37

Joining you all for another month. CD6 today, I’m trying the pregnacare pre-conception vitamins in the hope they extend my cycle a bit, didn’t even get to test last month as AF arrived at 9DPO.

Taviton · 26/08/2024 14:52

@JNSW I've heard good things about hertility and I've ordered some tests. My thinking is if I get any abnormal results I can take them to my GP and go from there. If they're all normal it'll put my mind at rest.

heartheart89 · 26/08/2024 19:31

Jumping in to join please ladies, 1st month TTC baby number 3 🥰 I have fairly short cycles around 24-26 days, had my last period 15th of August so I think I'm in/just past my fertile period. As it's the first month I haven't tracked ovulation or anything like that yet. Fingers crossed to you all xx

2 DPO today and think I caught my peak with LH tests over the weekend so hoping that stands for something. How is everyone?

ksbgTTC · 27/08/2024 10:19

Hi everyone! Moving over from the August thread where I have been lurking in the background since a few members on there helped me understand my peak! Unfortunately we didn't manage to BD on peak days last month so onto cycle 3 TTC #1.

I'm currently 3dpo and have attached my premom chart in case it helps anyone else.

Some info about me (that I'm learning as I go and from reading all your posts):

  • My cycle is very regular - AF always arrives CD30 and ovulation is always CD15.
  • My LH shows as quite low (never above 1) but I understand this isn't a problem - the key thing is having a surge and I have a very obvious surge. Hopefully I've understood this correctly?
  • My surge/ovulation happens VERY quickly - on clear blue advanced I get at most 1 day flashing (none last month) then static smiley. You can see on the premom chart using easy @ home strips LH goes from very low to peak and back down quickly.
  • I started testing BBT this past month so new to this but think it confirms ovulation? I appear to be naturally quite a cold person with BBT often less than 36C. I've read this can be a sign of an underactive thyroid but not too concerned at the moment as after ovulation there appears to be a good increase.
  • My current main area of concern is I don't get much EWCM.

We managed to BD across the peak days this month so fingers crossed! I will probably test from 2nd September - 9DPO.

Fingers crossed for everyone on this thread😊

Can I join for Sept please. Having spotting and think it’s dear AF on her way so that’s me back for another cycle. My cycle is anything from 37-68 days which is so frustrating and prob means I’ll be Oct/nov groups. Hopeful for this cycle though.

Wow this is super informative thank you!! My LH surge started this morning and my husband is abroad 🥲 I have EWCM - didn't know this term until you shared it, thank you! I think hydration has impacted this for me in the past.

He's home tomorrow so hoping that's close enough!

CD6 for me and still bleeding this morning, got my ovulation tests ready lol

Bobbilennard · 27/08/2024 19:18

Has anyone else got a tilted uterus? My partner has low morphology but could it be a possibility that the sperm is potentially finding it harder to meet my egg because it’s tilted? I know google says it doesn’t but I’m not fully convinced..

Possumly · 27/08/2024 19:47

@Bobbilennard I didn't know I did until a couple of years ago but apparently mine is tilted. I fell first try with my son though (although I was tracking ovulation first try too, which would help!)

MJones24 · 27/08/2024 19:49

Hi! I'll join. Currently on cycle#4 8DPO. Today I've experienced enormous fatigue, lower back pain, tingling in breasts (they're also sore and swollen!) And hot flushes that made me feel nauseous. I'm really hoping it's the month this month, I've not felt like this yet...so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Period is due Friday, so I'll test then!
