Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

marinda I am so pleased for you. well done.

Just to let you all know that I am having a break from MN. I am too upset at the moment.

Hulababy · 27/01/2005 19:20

(((hugs))) jeddah. We will miss you, but will stil be here when you feel able to return. Take care and best of luck for everything

munnzieb · 27/01/2005 19:38

(((((hugs))))) jeds, feel free to email me any time hon. we'll all miss you.

Mirage · 27/01/2005 20:29

Just wanted to send a hug to Jeddah. That Dr sounded a supercilious tw*t.If it gives you any hope,we were told that our chances of concieving without IVF were nil.We proved them wrong 3 times.Drs do not know as much as they like to imagine.

Was the sample your DH gave the first one?I only ask because my DH gave 3 samples during our investigations. The 1st was great, the 2nd so poor that we were told that we wouldn't be offered clomid, because with a sample like that it would be pointless. The 3rd,after taking vitamins ect for 3 months was fab.A lot can depend on the lab doing the analysis too-as a good friend said to me'you wouldn't take a Ferrari to a Ford garage'.

I hope your next appt is more promising.
Love
Mirage

morningpaper · 27/01/2005 20:35

Jeddah:
We had a moderate-low count too but we have two pregnancies to show for it.

That doc sounds like such a twat Jeddah, I'm so sorry that he wasn't more positive about your DH and lifestyle changes. I'm gutted for you about your treatment. We are all thinking of you. xxx

jeddah · 27/01/2005 21:32

mirage could you please tell me what vits etc your dh took???

Does anyone have info on adoption?....eg age waiting lists, criteria etc etc??

many thanks girls for all your kind thoughts, you all mean so much to me, in a special way.

munnzieb · 27/01/2005 21:49

not really much help on the adoption front, althou when a friend of mine wnet down that path S/S wouldn't even think about having her on their books as it were for soemthing like 6 months after she was told in no uncertain terms by the dr she could never have children. I couldn't see there being too much of a prob, I suspect you/DH already fit most of the cirteria. but S/S would prob be my first port of call, althou don't do anything tooo hasty just yet.

Have you tried Zinc? (could be worth a try) I've found this site for you thou for the male fertility male fertility

I don't suppose it would hurt to start on the Angus catus would it?? (not sure really, thou as I mentioned b4 if persona's saying you'ere OV then it can't be anything major, surely, maybe you guys just need some hormones or soemthing?? and another thing whilst i'm on me soap box, if persona was that crap then why would the reviews on it be so good, esp as most women get PG after using it for a few months.

and heres a few sites on this angus stuff, It tastes crappy and you'll feel like yacking but if it helps with the hormones, it might be worth a try, althou my dr wouldn't commit to it in any way as no medical reserch has been done on it, althou scientific research has been done on it. I assume you're also takin folic acid (which I believe can help)

best site

anyhow all in all hon, Don't give up, have faith, and you will be a mummy soon. as long as ur still OV and still having AF there's hope. I know it's hard right now, and as soon as ur ready - if in deed you feel you want to carry on TTC naturally, all power to you and you know where we all are, but don't give up just becasue of what some stupid jumped up (and I bet he was a little sqquirt) said to you.

For now thou, Dr Munnzie, is prescribing you, lots of TLC from DH, followed by a long bath, along with a large glass of wine a heap of thorntons choc (save the best for times like these) and then you and DH just enjoy each other as it were, no thoughts of TTC no nothing, and wait for your next set of tests. Don't give up fighting thou hon. Thoughts are with you both (thou not too closely! )

munnzieb · 27/01/2005 21:50

Nelli29 · 28/01/2005 11:47

Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to this thread, posted a couple of times. Feeling low today, Due yesterday, just done a test (should have waited I know) negative. Doesn't seem fair. Still always next month

cockenzie · 28/01/2005 11:49

can one of your pregnant email her temp chart pls? i would just like to compare with mine and see what a pg chart is supposed to look like.thanks.i bet you i am going to bleed in the next 5 days.hope nothing wrong with me.dp was saying that (because i did 2 clearblue neg and a FR neg) mayb b/feeding may interact with the test and giv a false result? i doubt it somehow.i think we have hallucinated with the 'answer' tests.well, next tuesday seeing doc who may shed light on the pb.

sorry hula for AF

cockenzie · 28/01/2005 12:01

How about that? what do you think of that?

Too much prolactin. You might miss a period (or more than one) if your brain is producing an abnormally high level of the hormone prolactin. A woman's body usually makes prolactin when she's breastfeeding, which is why menstruation generally stops at this time. If this is what's happening to you, you may notice a milky discharge from your nipples. This condition can usually be treated with medication.

I am just getting at the moment a very yellowy discharge.

morningpaper · 28/01/2005 12:05

cockenzie · 28/01/2005 12:17

wow!!!! MP. thank you so much hen.Thats going to give me a fair idea.
I am beginning to think that b/feeding is kind of interfeering somehow.especially that i still b/f at night.not so much during day but at night 1 or 2 times.and that may just f* everything up.excuse my language. any opinions anyone on this? would be greatly appreciated.

cockenzie · 28/01/2005 12:18
