Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

Are you feeling better Hula?

I'm shattered, so am planning a long soak, a cup of tea, large bar of Dairy Milk and bed!

Hulababy · 18/01/2005 19:29

Not really. Still very chey and tred. Head hurts and behind my eyes is throbbing. Keeping taking Sinutab and hoping it'll go away. Might have a hot steamy bath later to see if it will clear my head a bit.

RudyDudy · 18/01/2005 21:00

sorry to hear that hula . Having been distracted by the house thread really am going to bed now. Hope you get a good night's sleep and feel better in the morning

Hula I had the WORST cold in the world the week after I ov'd the month that I conceived dd. So don't worry about that side of things! Good luck. I think dd 19 or something here.

marinda · 18/01/2005 23:42

Wow rudy, what a thing to be doing wish I had thought of something so "now" to do like that. When you qualify will you work on your own or for a business ? Just being nosy

Hulababy · 19/01/2005 09:19

Fingers crossed then oops!

CD22 and 6DPO. Temp still above coverline - just! Went up a tiny bit today actually.

Still have massive head cold, and feel very achey. Also feel tired - but can't sleep. Not gone into work today. The thought of 3 classes of 11 year olds in my noisy ICT room was too much to bear. Willtry and get some work done later on though - make the most of DH being at work and DD at nursery.

hester · 19/01/2005 09:36

Ooh Hula - lots of ginger tea needed, I think. There's NOTHING like a cold to make you feel rough, is there? Unless it's flu, of course... or having af due....

runtus, that is really brilliant news. What's the bets you come back from Oz up the duff?

rudy - I'm really impressed you're a dietician (or going to be) but you're going to regret telling us that! How USEFUL - I'll be plaguing you with questions from now on

runtus · 19/01/2005 09:56

Thanks girls, I've just called and made my appointment with the specialist for the 21st Feb.......the week after I get back. Here's hoping I can walk in and be pg!!!!

Wow - my mate is a dietician and I know how much work she had to put in,not sure I could do it, but then I always was a bit of a crap student.... good luck in the exams! I am so glad to not have to do any more of those!

Hope the cold clears up soon Hula, try not do to much today and make yourself feel worse.

MINNIE1 · 19/01/2005 12:46

Hi all,
Hope all you are well, Sorry to hear that your unwell hula.. Its a pain to have a cold, hope its not the real bad one that you have to stay in bed with..

No real news on this front, CD29 and waiting for herself to show cause persona arrived yesterday yippeeeee!!!! And of course as you do i tested 2 days ago!!!! wee'd once nothing, wee'd the second time on the same test and guess what -tive.. I am soooo silly to even think i was but i think its a TTC thing...

has anyone any tips on persona or reseting it??

RudyDudy · 19/01/2005 14:37

Hi all - thanks for all the words of encouragement re. exams - I really need them! Oh well, this morning's went well and one down and two to go. I love the course and am inspired by the subject which is what keeps me going but it is hard work and even harder now I have to balance it with having a lo. Still I keep telling myself that I will end up with a job I love and will be a good role model for him . As for what I will do marinda - not clearly decided yet - have another 2 years on the course to go and maybe 3 if I have a year out to have another one [fingers crossed emoticon]. I will probably do some private work to make some money but I am particularly interested in working in the community and with children and am more interested in the preventative side. Oh, and of course I am now passionate about paeds!

Minnie - do you have a booklet for your persona? If so it should have resetting instructions but if not let me know and I will copy them out from mine. It's quite straightforward though you do need to use a spare stick for it (it can be an old one if you have one).

Runtus - great news about the appt . And yes, exams are shit but unfortunately a necessary evil. I am actually really enjoying the oppportunity to study again and this time do it 'properly'! I am a typical mature student and v. swotty - last time round I was anything but

Hula - sorry you are still feeling rough . Hope you manage to have a good day anyway.

Hester - feel free to ask away. Can't promise to be able to help but will always have a go and should at least know the right places to look if I don't know. Though do bear in mind I am a 2nd year on a 4 year course so I may only be 50% correct! Has the old duffers thread reinspired you about ttc? I hope so - there are some amazing stories on there. Inspirational even for us young things

Hello anyone else who may be around - please tell me someone is due to test! 10 days and counting for me - ever the optimist. Don't know why I do it to myself but I still do.

munnzieb · 19/01/2005 14:57

hi guys have a few quick questions, (Dh is startin to ask questions as i'm now 1 day late for my AF and as we know he's been away! so his questions/ mine are:

  1. can you OV twice in one month as when I started to take the angus catcus again to increase hormones I had the whole damp below etc.. feelings thou I didn't notice the tummy twinge I sometimes get.

  2. would the angus catus have had the opposite effect on this month and made AF late instead of early?

I'm so confused with it all, and now really stressing out, as I've not looked (ok well have looked at Gil Grissom/ Dennis a few times but that's not RL, in RL i've not looked at another man much less actually slept with one, so what's happenin with my body? I did do a test 2 days ago (stupid but this is how stressed I am was a BFN as I knew it would be - wouldv'e been bloody shocked if it wasn't so........ girls i'm hoping u can help me out here! ..... PLease.... anyonw! lol... hest....jeds! ...

Oh and Rudy good luck with ur exmas.

Have to get back to DH, (feelin a bit sicky as well but it might be where i'm stressing so much, but i'm never late past 26 days and i'm now 27! HELP!!!!!!!!!

MINNIE1 · 19/01/2005 15:14

RudyDudy,
I have the booklet the lady that gave it to me sent it to me by email... I always thought there was a botton to reset it... Have to pick up the sticks.. and i think i will have to pay 25 euro for them over here.. Just spotted them the last day in boots.. So i will be buying them on the net from here on in!!!! its a mad price to pay for them..

MINNIE1 · 19/01/2005 15:18

munnzieb,
No expert on this but i am certain you ov once a month and the catcus may have lenghtened your AF... Please do not go by this as i am not certain but i'm sure someone will be along soon..
Beckif, How are you keeping these day's ???

RudyDudy · 19/01/2005 17:46

hi minnie - I'm afraid it's not quite as simple as just pressing a button - ask munnzie - lol do you remember how long that thread was!

Munnzie - sorry honey can't help you. I don't think you can O twice but the weird things my body does sometimes I wouldn't like to say for definite. You need one of our experts (where are you hest and jedds?) to help on this one.

Speaking of weird body stuff my boobs have suddenly exploded this afternoon - if I didn't know much better I would think I was still bf . I'm at best 4/5 dpo - someone give me a virtual slap around the face and tell my I can't have sometimes already please? Ta.

marinda · 19/01/2005 17:52

Munzeie don't worry - I have had AF 7 days late in past and like you i NEVER have a cycle past 26 days (2 in my entire life!!) Forget it and enjoy yourself - you can't be pg !!!!

BTW what is angus Catus and what does it do ?

I have AF due - CD24 and have more symtoms - I bet this month she'll be late just to wind me up. I wish she'd get on with it so I can start TTC again (and chasing DH around house!)

See you Whippersnappers !!!!!!!

RudyDudy · 19/01/2005 17:57

oops *symptoms not sometimes

munnzieb · 19/01/2005 19:23

lol, rudy come close and i'll give u one! he he he!

Angus catsu is the herb which is ment to help hormone levels and regulate them, (or that's the jist of it) it can increase progogestrone and bring OV forward by a day or two, there is confusion weather or not it should be taken up to OV then stopped or taken for the whole month.

It's v quiet on here of late...... I think everyone's on the old duffers thread feelling a bit redundant now!

aprilmeadow · 19/01/2005 19:56

Hello, i have a message for Runtus......

Runtus, Sweetheart has asked me to let you know that she did decide to go to the hospital for a scan as she was worried, and unfortunately they confirmed the worst. She will be going in tomorrow (Thurs) to be induced.

Take care
Aprilmeadow

RudyDudy · 19/01/2005 19:57

munnzie - ouch

just a thought but wouldn't persona have shown if you'd O'd twice? Perhaps the excitement of DH coming back has messed about with your cycle. I have heard of periods of excitement or lots going on having an effect. Hope AF shows up soon for you (what a weird thing to write on a ttc thread!)

It is quiet on here but partly we've been missing you . Don't worry there are a few stalwarts still here to share your jokes! And don't you go anywhere I shall be needing a laugh in about a week when I start doing early tests and going loopy. Oh and I'll need you to prescribe me Dairy Milk regularly

marinda · 19/01/2005 23:22

No one from here on old duffers I've just looked. Do NOT feel redundant Munzeib - could NOT do without you and other whippersnappers adcice, support, humour etc.. - Thanks for advice on Angus Catus - may try it From any good health shop I presume ?

Quiet here tonight ! No Hester, Jeddah Hmmmm ! Am tired (I blame AF) so nodding off soon ! Bye...........................

munnzieb · 20/01/2005 08:08

yes marinda you can, i'll scan the leaflet on to the computer later on after work for you to have a look at. Still no af and i'm gettin upset about it now - isn't that an odd thing to say on a TTC thread! lol

apparently you can OV twice but it's within 24 hrs of each other. persona wouldn't have picked it up as after cd16 it didn't ask for any more tests and i'm thinking around cd 22ish if not later on. (at least i had all the AF symptoms from about cd17/18 and it's still not bloomin well here)

Dh keeps on about it being cos of leeroy. and i'm getting depressed over it, esp as I know i can't be PG this month!

runtus · 20/01/2005 08:46

Oh my god April - is she ok?????

I never thought in a million years they would say that had happened. I'm going away tomorrow so will you give her a massive hug from me and let her know I'm thinking of her?

She must be in pieces. It's not fair!

munnzieb · 20/01/2005 08:52

just a quick up date, AF showed up this morning after all! not that I was worried, u know cool as cuecumber! lol, at least now we can concentrate on this cycle. It would appear this month was 28 days and I OV on days 13/14 so a bit text book ishe really! I'm going to stuff my face with lots of dairy milk! lol. and wait for the gyno appt next week.

hester · 20/01/2005 11:08

So, so sorry to hear sweetheart's news

It's really upset me, actually.
