Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

Cockenzie, my wee chap turned 1 at Xmas and I'm still feeding 4 times. He eats for England and NZ combined but loves his boobs and I love feeding him - such a comfort for both of us. Planned to carry on for as long as he'll have me but I guess if it's preventing my cycles settling/not conceiving, I might have to rethink . Day 34 and still not sign of AF. If my cycles were steady I'd be over the moon right about now and off down to the chemist for a test but guanteed, the minute I buy it, I'll start my period . Feeling very premenstral and my 34 year old face looks like an adolescent teenagers - agrrrrrr!!!

how do u work out ur dpo? i take it they are days past ov? i dont think i am ov this month.still temp raise and CD16 though.too late to ov and have a lp and get pg.very frustrating but too mentally tired to be angry.ttc can seriously mentally drain you cant it girls?

kiwicath - know exactly what u mean.i lov my time when dd hangs down my boobs, but at the same time i cant conceiv in those conditions. and i feel guilty for saying that cos sounds so selfish but at the same tine terrible BROODING!! so guess hormons (that want another one) are winning in the end hen.
when u say 4 times, do u mean day tine? same here, but nowadays i try to distract her to avoid bf and encourage cup (e.g walk 9am around the blok to puther to sleep and 2/3pm).as bf also triggers sleeping time for dd.

kiwicah - what are u using? BBT/FF/Persona??

Hey Cockenzie... I'm sure I'm in the same boat as you and kiwi....still! because I got a BFN this morning.. theoretically it could be too early etc etc but yeah right lol I'm beginning to think that I can't be sure when I'm ovulating now! Except... I was so certain I O'd on the 23rd... my body went into overdrive and I had all the old symptoms from before I was pregnant with Theo and everything, I suppose I could have just had an unlucky month I was pregnant by this time with Theo! WAAAHH! Lol

I had sore boobs this time and everything which I never get with AF, dammit!

Massive amounts of babydust going to Jeds and Hester!!! And pokes cockenzie and kiwi's ovaries to make eggs pop out lol I guess us BFers have to be patient... at least we can cling onto that as an excuse rather than really beginning to worry about blocked tubes etc...

Girls I haven't posted for a day as we have had a power cut hear on the farm.....no heating, no cooker,no lights etc etc etc...went off at 6am and came on at midnight last night!

I am cd30 and ov on cd19-20 .............so that makes me 10-11dpo!

I am really trying to not think about testing yet! I will test on thursday if the bitch hasn't arrived!

Anyone got any advice on the OPKS? Bonkerz, the lovely person, sent me some to try. But have I missed the chance to use them this month - I expect so I guess. I am on CD12. In past I have OV'd around CD17, but last month it may have been CD13 or 14. Midnd you FF suggests I didn't OV at all. Cycle length has also varied between 25 days and 32 days.

So when do I use them?

Jeddah - definitely get Boots own brand - worked for me when I was only just late and I've heard other similar comments!

Hulababy - I would still use the OPKs - which brand are they? I used them a couple of times and they always showed I ov'd later than I presumed. I used to use them when I got home from work so hadn't been for a wee for a while! I also stopped drinking lots of water from about 3.30 so by 6ish everything was a bit more concentrated if you know what I mean!!

Cocenzie, I'm a kiwi girl but for the past 10 years lived in Egypt (Sinai) and married to a Brit. Usually a full time Scuba Diving Instructor but LOVING being a mum and only dive for the shear hell/fun of it now. I'm awfully new to this topic so you're going to have to help me out with all the cd's, ff's, bbt's etc - figured the ov out all on my own . Big old hugs to you Becks, seems you've got a lot on your plate at the moment. Tania, any more word on your sister??? - hoping the little bean is a sticky one.

Not using any ov predictor as don't really know what the options are and then it's very tricky to get anything like that here. Hoping to avoid a long trip up to Cairo to visit Gyno. Since the resumption of my period (4 months ago) I've had all the ov signs (mucous, cramps, grumps ) on day 14 yet not af'ing until between 33-40. Is my bod playing games or could I really be ov'ing then.

hi I have changed my mn name from ellimum to triceratops as there is an elliemum posting out there and I didn't want her to think I am an impersonator.

I have just thrown up at the smell of coffee. does anyone know how early you can get morning sickness? - af aint due until friday so I can't test. (well I can and I did and it came up negative but it was a complete waste of money as it is way too early)

ooh jeddah, I can't believe how patient you are! I would have done a million tests by now !!! When I was pg with DS I used the Boots own test and I don't think it has any special name other than "Boots Pregnancy Test" or something similar. Loads of luck to you xxx

Welcome kiwicath - can't help with the Ov questions I'm afraid. I'm in a similar position of having long cycles and no idea when I'm ovulating but using persona and hoping that it will tell me soon!

Thanks for all your kind well wishes for my sister but i think she has certinaly m/c had very very heavy bleeding like never had b4 and really bad cramps also like she has never had b4. she is just so strong just says well it wasnt meant to be then. Not going to start ttc for a while yet but very worried that this may have been her last chance (she is 32 in June). What do you say to someone who is going through this? She just keeps on saying that this is nothing compared to what iam going through and she just wants to be there for me i think she felt so guilty that she fell pg without ttc when i find out that i have to do ivf. Its not her fault that i have blocked tubes. God how do i help her through this she says that she just wants to put it to the back of her head....that cant be healthy?

Have appointment with the councellor and nurse tomorrow at IVF clinic. Very nervous but also very excited iam so in limbo atm at least tomorrow arvo we will know where we stand.
Going to buy a journal tomorrow and start writing down my thoughts and feelings so iam not always talking about it to friends and you guys figure that it will be too draining being my friend atm so if my journal cops it all than i should be able to keep my friends iykwim.

Anyway take care girls thank you for all your support and friendships you all have got me through the past 12 months Iam not saying goodbye cause i will be still lurking and congratulating all the BFP that will be flooding this board this year. Hopefully i will be able to be one of them.

yes rudy day 21 test is to test the progesterone rise to indicate ovulation.

1. Really could not go through another negative test!

2. Haven't got any in the house

3. My dh is great at persuading me not to test!
