AF got me yesterday, a day late - realised just after I POAS 😂

Onto the next cycle.

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone still in!

RaineyNina · 24/06/2024 08:35

Temp still high so I think I've definitely ovulated earlier than usual! Has anyone had any success with lengthening luteal phase? Mine has been about 10 or 11 days in the past

This is a really good idea- my DH has struggled with this knowing that it’s important… I will try this next month!

Where are you up to in your cycle? I’ve just started the TWW (I think..) and I’m impatient already.

I think mine is far better off thinking sex is 'just for fun', even though he obviously knows we are TTC, but it doesn't then make him feel like we are DTD just to try and conceive, and just takes the pressure off.

Oh gosh I felt like that too at 1DPO 😂it feels like such a long wait doesn't it! I'm 9DPO and getting very 'not pregnant' vibes tbh.

10-11 days shouldn't cause a problem. It's only less than 10 days that it might be a cause for concern, otherwise you'll just be lengthening your cycle for the sake of it. My LP was 8-9 days when we conceived our first, and I managed to lengthen it to 10 by taking vitamin B6 and vitamin C x

Hi all! TTC#2 cycle 3 of OPks but no BC since Feb. Fell pregnant first time round last time and oh boy did I take it for granted!!

Also struggling with a short lutal phase @DaisyEM @RaindropsOnRoses22 @RhubarbCrumble12345 , I've had one that's been 8 days and absolutely shockingly short last month at 6 days I was gutted. Taking b6 and vitamin b complex to try to help lengthen it but DC1 still BF at night and I've heard prolactin can suppress progesterone! However my period were short first time round (I never tracked with OPKs so can't say for sure) so I think I've always had it and was just extremely lucky last time. In any case my TWW is more of a OWW so at least it goes round a bit faster.

Took a break from the threads last month as was super down by the 6 day LP but I'm in my overly optimistic phase of the cycle and it's nice to read others doing through the same thing. CD 17 still waiting for peak, but have BD today and Friday just incase.

Ah so sorry about the short LP, it's really upsetting when you realise isn't it! I had a few like this where they were shockingly short after coming off the pill when we were TTC #1, so I'd probably confidently say your really short LP is most likely hormonal and down to the fact that you're still BF. Obviously you'd need to look into whether taking supplements is safe with BF, but I took 50g B6, a B-vitamin complex and vitamin C to lengthen mine before x

Mattietoes · 24/06/2024 09:49

Thanks to those who suggested LH strips - I know that would be sensible! I have them but am slightly resisting using them at the moment as last cycle I was SO obsessed with testing everything all the time (LH, HCG, anything!) and since the chemical I just haven't wanted to test anything. I will go back to testing I think I just need a bit more time. In fact I have had quite a bit of EWCM the last two days so I think maybe my dates were a bit off.

@RaineyNina DaisyEM is correct however I want to add vitamin E to the list which helps to length the luteal phase.

After my 1st MC, I decided not to test LH and also had a break. I tested LH just for fun because I thought that it would take a long time for me to recover. I felt quite relaxed until I got my first proper period.

@LucyCL thank you! Feeling really positive this month not sure why, but temp still up this morning and sore boobs (but I always get this!).. off I go to do another test!

Has anyone had short periods and generally short cycle and been able to increase it with any treatment? Since having my IUD removed my periods have been under 2 days but were always been 3-4 before.

That is promising!

To strengthen the luteal phase, please try Vitamin C, B6 and E.

I am also having short cycles this time with short luteal phase 8 days. I assume it's due to stopping the pill. It happened last time after stopping the pill but conceived on the 2nd cycle after taking either pregnacare or seven seas plus b6 50mg from CD1. I couldn't get hold of b6 last cycle until around the time my LH raised so don't think I'd been taking it long enough to have an effect. We shall see if it works this cycle

Can I just ask what time of the day everyone tests LH? Think I missed my peak last month but was testing once a day everyday until the lines got darker then was testing twice a day

worldwidetravel2017 · 24/06/2024 11:58

Hey all

Im on day 5 of letrozole today

Guna try and concieve this cycle

SummerSun24 · 24/06/2024 15:14

@RaindropsOnRoses22 @LucyCL @DaisyEM thanks for the advice I'll check to see if vitamin E is in my multivitamin I know the rest are!

Frustratingly I got my periods back 8 week PP so I thought at least I'd maybe be super fertile by now having had to suffer for so long 😂 byt have heard it can take a long time for the actual hormones to balance themselves out so that the period produces a mature enough egg etc.

Splishsplashsplosh93 · 24/06/2024 19:16

@LucyCL thank you, I will try these Smile

KatePr · 24/06/2024 19:53

My cycles have been really long since my miscarriage too. I invested in tracking my BBT through Natural Cycles and found out I didn’t ovulate until CD25 this cycle. Currently CD37 and my period is due tomorrow. BBT is dropping and had a bfn so pretty sure it’s coming.

how are you feeling today? When do you plan on testing? It’s so hard to hold out.

I've been testing first thing in the morning daily, but think I missed my peak so would probably start doing twice a day next cycle

No probs ☺️ still feeling very not pregnant 😂 I usually have an 11 day LP, so I should know for sure by Thursday as that’s when AF is due. I may test Wednesday, but I may just wait. I’m very undecided. I think because I feel like I’m most likely out for this month I may not test at all.

Hi all, needing to read and catch up on the rest but need some advice and insight.

I have been feeling ill over the past few days and last night I developed a fever and some blisters on different parts of my body. I suspect it is chicken pox as I’ve not had it and have had a close contact in the last 2 weeks. My fertile window starts today although hubby and I have been dtd every second day this cycle.
I know that it’s high risk to women who are already pregnant… my question is should I make the decision to just stop and forego this cycle or can I still continue/would there be any negative impact on baby if I fell pregnant whilst I had chicken pox?
Trying not to freak out and really hoping for a very mild case. Trying to get hold of doctors.

SummerSun24 · 25/06/2024 11:48

@ScarlettSloth I would personally check with your doctor! Untill implantation occurs the egg is left to its own devices so im not too sure how much it would effect it and even then it's 10 week for the placenta to form but still, not sure how any medication etc would effect things. So frustrating for you these things always seem to happen during fertile windows!!

Irish812 · 25/06/2024 11:57

Hi all, just caught up on messages after a little break. Congrats to all the BFPs! I'm now in the ttw at 2dpo. Sore boobs since yesterday. This has happened past 3/4 cycles from ovulation and last until AF arrives. This is cycle 6 ttc #1 so trying to stay hopeful this month. Dtd almost everyday during FW. Used conceive+ lube applicators. Didn't notice any EWCM (haven't in a few months) but seems wet so maybe it's OK?

Meganann · 25/06/2024 12:03

helppp please
Due my period on the 1st of July, yesterday started having light brown discharge hardly anything and today it’s gone pink, my ovulation test are getting darker, I’m so confused what’s going on as I didn’t think you can ovulate in a period and I don’t know even if this is classed as a period.

top ones were yesterday and bottom is today at 6:20am x

TTC July 2024 ✨♥️

Thank you. Just come from the doctors. she said there’s not really a chance it could be transferred to an embryo and even for pregnant mothers it’s more of a risk during third trimester so should be okay although I probably won’t feel up to dtd! 🤣 time for me to go searching for some forums on chickenpox remedies now! X

Irish812 · 25/06/2024 13:16

@Meganann sounds like implantation bleeding? Take a pregnancy test in 2 days.

LucyCL · 25/06/2024 14:27

Has anyone experienced ovulation bleeding? 😅
