Hey!
Looking for some advise from UK moms to be please!
I tested positive yesterday at 8dpo. I’m going to keep testing for a few days, then try and contact my doctors due to a previous loss.
I am wanting them to tell me whether or not I should take asprin this time around (I have a blood clotting disorder) but they never told me to take it last time. But my question is, is there anywhere else I can go/call if my doctors won’t give me an appointment/speak to me? They are a pain in my area!! ( Also from Wales if that makes a difference haha )

Thank you!

Ring your local haematology service, depends on what disorder you have and what services your area offers, but they may have someone who can help with haematology/obstetric related queries

@lavafield @1441x thanks both ☺️ I had a stall at a local market today so that kept me distracted! I didn’t test this morning as didn’t feel it would be helpful. I will do tomorrow though and hopefully will see a stronger line. Late yesterday afternoon the bleeding stopped completely, but started again in the morning, and same again today, stopped about 4pm. I’m going to call the GP first thing and like you’ve said @lavafield im hoping they will do bloods xx

CoolSummer89 · 28/07/2024 21:39

Really glad you had something nice to distract you today. Keep us updated @DaisyEM

And this was the last one I did at 11DPO…

Looks like it might not be a chemical after all 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@DaisyEM this looks encouraging!! Has the bleeding stopped? I really hope it is all progressing nicely and you get your blood tests soon to confirm! ✨

DaisyEM · 29/07/2024 07:28

@lavafield it stopped around 4pm yesterday and hasn’t come back so far this morning 🤞🏼

Morning all ☺️
10DPO and BFN here - I'm feeling absolutely gutted 😢

We went for fertility tests last week and all has come back fine. Which is great. But have options to try ovulation stimulation or IVF.
The clinic is pushing IVF (maybe due to 💰 😜, but also my age).

I'm determined to be pregnant before December as thats was when I found out I was pregnant last (but had MMC in Jan) and I don't know how I'd cope with Christmas.

Has anyone any experience of letrozole? Or IVF?

I'm kind of drawn towards IVF as I'm just so fed up with all the waiting, calculating, hoping etc etc etc and just want someone to do it for me!!
But would have to wait until October (as pretty busy in September and DH is away a bit).

Any thoughts would be much appreciated
❤️

I wish I could help you but I haven’t had any experiences with IVF/stimulation/letrozole.
Because everything came back fine with the fertility tests, IVF seems like the best choice for you if you have the money. I say go for it.
Baby dust to you !

@DaisyEM yay! This looks so great.

@spamOFtheDAY ah sorry to hear about the disappointment, 10dpo is still very early I think pregnancy tests are only 50% likely to work. I don’t know much about either but imagine that opting for IVF will make you feel more in control. Does the clinic have a clause that you can cancel planned treatment if you get pregnant before October?

I am 9dpo, my boobs were hurting something fierce yesterday so got a bit hopeful. No pain this morning and also negative test. I am going away for a few days so the next morning I can test is Thursday 12dpo. Going to try and not to think about it for next few days.

Already have a blood test booked for next week if period arrives on Saturday. So taking steps to find out if there are any issues.

LucyCL · 29/07/2024 09:26

Today is CD16 of the third cycle post CP, also my peak day. It looks like my cycle has gone back to its normal pattern before 2 MCs. That makes me really happy!😀I will enter 2WW soon when my BBT rises again.

@spamOFtheDAY
Im on letrozole..

I have pcos

Letrozole has bought my ovulation
Fwd.
And therefore shortened lengths of pcos cycles

Apparently it can also help progsterone

My consultant told me theres 10 percent chance of multiples with it

spamOFtheDAY · 29/07/2024 09:40

Thank you @worldwidetravel2017 @LucyCL @CoolSummer89
Think I will get the IVF ball rolling

Positive vibes to you guys

Thanks @LucyCL @CoolSummer89 the bleeding has started again this morning 🙄 it stops and I start to believe it might all be ok, and then it starts again and I’m right back to thinking it’s not going to work out. It’s very unsettling/confusing 😖 I’m talking to the GP this afternoon so hopefully they can help me figure out what’s happening!

CoolSummer89 · 29/07/2024 09:57

@DaisyEM the fact that it has been happening for a few days and your lines are progressing hopefully means there is nothing to worry about. Good that you are speaking to your GP this afternoon.

my husband just said my boobs look bigger and we then noticed some bumps on my nipples so now I am back to getting excited. Honestly, please put me in a coma each two week wait because I can not help myself clearly!

Please keep us updated!! I don't want to see another person who suffers from CP again! Fingers crossed to you! Lots of good luck to you!! Maybe try low dose aspirin at the same time? I have been taking it since CD12 and it helps to improve the chance of pregnancy based on the research. You could ask your GP about it and make sure if it is right for you.

@CoolSummer89 I’ll try and remain positive! How many DPO are you now?

@LucyCL i had to take aspirin in my first pregnancy due to being high risk for preeclampsia (family history), but this was prescribed by the midwife. I’ll do some more reading into whether it’s something that might be helpful this time around x

MrsB902 · 30/07/2024 07:02

I’m only 5dpo but have been getting lots of little stomach cramps and feeling quite sickly this morning, why does the tww feel sooooo long?!

S4mmyj90 · 30/07/2024 07:57

@MrsB902 I'm in the same boat. I've been having cramps, feeling a bit sick, having backache and feeling more tired. I'm at 8dpo.

CoolSummer89 · 30/07/2024 10:03

@MrsB902 @S4mmyj90 i fell your ladies pain!

body has been playing tricks on me this TWW. Had such a painful boob (right one) since 8pm and since 9dpo have had really vivid blue veins on both breasts and into my cleavage, also AF type cramps.

tested this morning 10dpo and stark BFN. I know it’s too early to count myself out but thought if the breast pain was a symptom I would be testing positive right now. Ho hum.

DaisyEM · 30/07/2024 13:27

Hi everyone, just thought I would keep you updated :) after 5 days my bleeding has now stopped. Last test I did was yesterday and lines were looking much darker. I spoke to the GP yesterday who tried to contact EPU for me but couldn't get through. She said they won't do hcg bloods though which is what I was hoping for, but EPU may do an early scan (not until at least 6 weeks though, and I'm only 4+5!).

GP said that as the lines are getting darker it's all looking positive, so I'll just have to wait a few weeks for a scan now. I did have bloods taken today though to check my TSH as at my last bloods it was 2.8 and max for 1st trimester is 2.5. I'm feeling a bit better but still a bit uneasy, especially as I have next to no pregnancy symptoms, but I was near enough symptom-free with my son for much of my pregnancy anyway!

Wishing you all lots of luck and will keep checking back :)

Great news, hopefully you get some answers with your bloods and the scan comes through early ❤
