Hi, I have an app to read the ovulation strips but it's saying it low. I'm expected to ovulate today or tomorrow. It looks really dark to me.
I'll attach a photo

@emmatcc1 yes I felt like it was best to track when it was back to 28 days. The only thing I lack currently is EWCM so my suspicion is my lining isn't thick enough. I have endo and used to have awful heavy periods but now they last not even 3 days, light and pain free pretty much. Which I'm not complaining about but definitely not the norm.

Yeah I feel like that's also what it is then. Still odd about my period she's never really late, not this much. X

@Bambin0 A chemical pregnancy can still take some time before the bleeding starts. The flow shouldn’t be any different than a period.
3 day period is still within the norm I believe and barely any cramps is actually a sign of a healthy period. Painful periods have been normalized when in reality it is not normal and a period shouldn’t cause more than some mild discomfort.

@emmatcc1 Aw I see, god it's sad 😢 I'm really dreading it.

Oh that's so messed up that we're led to believe that we should have to endure severe discomfort every month. And have there solution be contraception from early teens. Well I'm glad that's a healthy sign. Feel a bit more at ease. Thank you love 💕

You okay? Up late?

Hi ladies! Sorry, had to just tune out of Mumsnet for a few days.

@Bambin0 this rollercoaster looks stressful... I'm also incredibly sorry to hear about your relationship. What difficult timing?! I'm really sorry. How are you today?

@emmatcc1 it's bloody typical the rats are pregnant, but I'm hoping you're okay with the decision to take a month off and reset. It's kind of freeing but a month feels like a year sometimes. What DPO are you now?

I feel the same. I've not personally been fobbed off by GPs (partly because I would go to them as a last resort for this kind of thing), but I'm shocked at the information given out to people TTC or pregnant women or just women in general. Painful periods being normal!? Hormonal contraception to somehow support fertility!? It seems so counter-intuitive. Also being told from a young age that you can get pregnant any day of the month and scaring young girls into being on contraception for years and years!? Ranting now...

I'm 2DPO. I'm just accepting that I'm probably not pregnant this month and will be okay with it. Shame because our twins would have been due this month (or probably July actually with them being twins). I ovulated on day 16 this month when it has been day 20 for the past four months, so at the very least my cycle's regulating.

emmatcc1 · 15/08/2024 15:49

@Bambin0 I go to bed late on a regular, all good here. Have you done any more tests?

@WildWhirlwind I went into ttc thinking it was gonna be easy and newly learned that you can conceive during ovulation only.
I’m 5dpo so implantation window is right around the corner. My due date is exactly in 3 weeks and it’s so odd thinking I should’ve been 37w pregnant right now.

WildWhirlwind · 15/08/2024 16:03

Oh my gosh, we were so close in dates. Hope you have a lot of support and love around that time and that some people recognise it (if you feel you need it).

Also, yeah, the whole fertile window thing. I'm not completely doubting it but whose sperm stays alive for five whole days!? That seems like super sperm!

emmatcc1 · 15/08/2024 16:13

@WildWhirlwind That’s exactly my thinking. If we don’t dtd the night before ovulation I feel like there’s no chance of pregnancy. Witch cervical mucus constantly cleaning everything it’s hard to believe any sperm stays inside. I still don’t understand where they wait around, some say in the cervix and other say in fallopian tubes but how do they know to wait.

WildWhirlwind · 15/08/2024 16:35

Haha, that made me laugh "where they wait around" because exactly that, and do they linger or keep swimming or what!?

Bambin0 · 15/08/2024 20:51

@WildWhirlwind @emmatcc1
That's so funny girls I was LITERALLY thinking that when I mentioned pre-seed the other day 😆 like it's true I have so many questions and the diagrams just begin to get confusing with doctor jargan.

But anyway thank you for the kind words my love @WildWhirlwind he's been very supportive over the last few days. So I'm very on edge. I've been stressing but I think as you can guess that'll be me for a long time which makes me sad cause I was enjoying our little group keeping each other strong.

You're so right with the whole doctors putting fear in you from a young age with false info.

And I hope you're okay @emmatcc1 I can only imagine how you're feeling right now coming up to the DD. 💕 No more tests, I've literally just started to bleed right now, (that's what reminded me to update you guys on here) so 5 days late, a 28 day cycle now. I just hope it's not gonna be a rough one with a chemical 😢

Sorry If I've not covered everything or missed bits X hugs
