Hi, I have an app to read the ovulation strips but it's saying it low. I'm expected to ovulate today or tomorrow. It looks really dark to me.
I'll attach a photo

@Bambin0 I had a sudden and very sharp pain yesterday in the center right of my uterus that really shocked me how painful it was. Now I’m getting on and off pains in this spot but mild. I’ve been slightly nauseous but everything else is the same. I also still have some of that stretchy cm.
I definitely see that on your test, I feel like it more noticeable this time.
@mountainlass I get so discouraged as each day passes that it hasn’t worked again.
It’s probably just so I don’t get too disappointed when af arrives.

emmatcc1 · 28/05/2024 16:45

@Bambin0 I believe I had similar pains when I conceived but different location and it was confirmed by ultrasound that’s were baby implanted.

It's still so mental we can feel it all. Which I totally believe and have experienced. All very good signs for you my love

@emmatcc1 @Bambin0 thanks for the help, I am hoping it's just my lh levels have remained a bit higher post ovulation than previous months. I was tempted to test but I know there will be absolutely no point at 5 dpo 😂 I've not got into temping yet but might try that next month for an extra security to know I've ovulated. I know some people swear by it but I just worry it will be more stress, this is only my third cycle of using ovulation tests so it's all new to me too :)

@emmatcc1 that could be implantation cramping! Is it just me the closer you get to testing time the more you convince yourself you're out for this month? Not feeling as confident now for myself but I have lots of hope for you both and been thinking of you ❤️

Yeah well I've only ever heard of positive opks being a sign of AF on the way as it can peak again apparently or pregnancy as it confuses HCG and LH.

Im starting to feel like maybe I'm ovulating CD23 (today) because my LH is also climbing, lots of EWCM and other symptoms.
Idk maybe I'm reading too much into it. Just won't feel certain till I see better lines hopefully.

@emmatcc1 keep us posted on tomorrow mornings test too

I had more pain now on the other side so I think it’s just gonna be af this month.

Really? Even tho you have a good few days to go?

I reckon I'm out too. Feel like I should have had a glimmer of something strong by now after all these tests

@Bambin0 I feel way too normal. And the pains now on both side which is just like my other cycles. First time around it took so long, no way it could happen this early.
Only a couple of days to go until af.

I guess that's the really difficult part too, not fully knowing you're out till AF arrives and it's a torturous wait .

Big hugs love, we've got some hope left in us. And we will always get to try again

10dpo is still negative, surely there should be something on there by now.

mountainlass · 29/05/2024 10:42

@emmatcc1 10 dpo is still very very early, implantation may have not even happened yet so don't give up hope ❤️ Try and look after yourself & distract yourself, maybe retest in a couple of days. I know how difficult it is and my heart breaks for you if this isn't your month. I am preparing myself to be in the same position but I wouldn't say you're out at 10 dpo. Sending love

emmatcc1 · 29/05/2024 13:10

@mountainlass I really thought the bbt dip on 7dpo was implantation as I also had cramps and everyone says it takes 2-3 days to show on a test.

photobook · 29/05/2024 13:28

First time using ovulation tests they dropped to extremely faint line showing 0.1, just done another 3DPO out of curiosity and quite a defined line again?!

Is there anything reason it goes back up again?!

mountainlass · 29/05/2024 13:46

@photobook I had this happen to me a few days ago too. My line went up to 0.5 about 4/5 dpo and it worried me that I maybe got a ovulated later and had my dates wrong. Turns out it's quite common for lh levels to fluctuate throughout your cycle, I tested later on that day and it went down again. Hope this helps x

Bambin0 · 29/05/2024 15:54

@emmatcc1 this is what I'm feeling too Emma. Now I'm ready for AF to just make her appearance.
However this is a laugh girls - @mountainlass
...
So I bleach my hair regularly. Sometimes a lil itch or nip but nothing major... I have started to bleach my hair today and it was having a crazy reaction to my scalp/skin. I had no choice but to rinse it out nowhere near done and now.... I have bright yellow hair 😂 apparently that can be a pregnancy thing. Or I'm getting older and not enjoying a bleached scalp.

@photobook yeah that happened to @mountainlass literally the other day. I am absolutely clueless with ovu and still learning so I have no idea. Feel like my own body is acting up. Still huge boobs and cramps etc.

Oi vay!

@Bambin0 A nail artist told me that pregnant women are more sensitive to uv nail polishes. They usually cause a mild sting while curing but if pregnant it hurts pretty bad. Might be the same with hair bleach.
I’m probably not gonna test anymore unless af will be late.

mountainlass · 29/05/2024 17:42

@Bambin0 Ahh that is so funny, nothing a little toner won't fix! Can you imagine if that is your first proper pregnancy symptom! Do you know how many dpo you are roughly now? I am also still very new to ovulation testing, I was really lucky with my first pregnancy we got pregnant first time without tracking anything and just having regular sex in the fertile window according to my Flo app. Fast forward to 20 weeks and we weren't feeling so lucky anymore sadly.

After our loss we were desperate to get pregnant again and started using the clearblue advanced ovulation tests (the ones that show smileys) and we got pregnant first time again with these, but sadly that was my chemical pregnancy in March.

Last month was the first month I used the premom tests because I seen these were what most people used and they were cheaper. I found these to be really stressful compared to the clearblue as I had to compare the lines myself and test multiple times a day. It probably didn't help my cycle and ovulation was really delayed from the chemical. This month I've switched back to the clear blue's and find them to be a bit easier, I got a solid smiley on CD15 which was promising. I think just take your time and find out what works for you best with OPK's, maybe give the clear blue tests a try just to see if they are a bit easier for you too. Sometimes I wonder if they are worth the stress and just to go back to not tracking but we are that desperate to be parents we are scared to miss any chances.

@emmatcc1 maybe waiting until AF is due is a good option. I am considering giving my partner my tests so I can't test early either. It's such an emotional struggle being stuck between not wanting to let go of hope if the test is negative but also longing to know if you're pregnant and to get the good news.

Lol I'm a nail artist and I should have definitely known that so now imma go test that out 😂 I'll get back to you on that one... But yeah Google does say the bleach thing can be pregnancy related. But us TTC girlies always relay back to pregnancy with any symptom. Yeah I wish I had the will power but I just know I don't. However the deflation is getting to me. I'm not working atm so it's consuming me

@mountainlass I have tracked maybe 3 full cycles with opk and the rest with only bbt and just dtd in my fertile window.
@Bambin0 It happened to my friend when she got her nails done, couple days later found out she was pregnant. I myself haven’t tested out this theory as I was too tired and unmotivated while pregnant.
My weird symptom is everything I eat doesn’t taste right.

Honestly makes sense tbf because hair and nails are the same protein -keratin (in a simple explanation anyway lol idk the proper terms)

Oh that's such a bad symptom cause food is a huge thing during pregnancy.
Mines was gallbladder flare ups, those were awful.

Trying not to get scared about the difficult parts of pregnancy

Oh I really hope so!! ❤️ Thank you so much love. Those tests this morning were stark white as well. I won't settle till I see "pregnant" on a digital and then on a screen. I'll take you gals along for the ride. 5 days before AF. How are you feeling?

@Bambin0 it just shows you the difference a day can make, it would be so lovely to wake up tomorrow and see your line progress more. I'm definitely here for the ride ❤️

I'm feeling okay, currently only 6dpo still. I've not noticed any early symptoms but to be honest in my previous pregnancies I've not actually had any, just a positive test. I don't even tend to get any cramps or pain before my period either it usually comes out of the blue! I'm considering not testing until about 12 dpo (Monday) and my partner thinks that's a good idea and is going to hide my tests haha. It will take will power but I'm thinking this month I would rather test a bit later to know for sure the result. Wish me luck 🤞

Ooh tysm ❤️ me too. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Ahaha that's so funny, him hiding them. We tell ourselves and convince our partners we're gonna wait and be 'patient' and then we cave and they catch us lol (they don't fully get the obsession)

Yeah my sister was like you, she got to 13 weeks before even finding out she was pregnant. Not a single symptom, had her period and everything.

Yes given what myself and Emma are going through I think 12dpo is good if you can hold off love 😘
