MollieMooma · 02/06/2008 20:48

Emma No idea then sorry hun just BD every day to be on the safe side
You will need to give it a couple of months for FF to work you out [smle]

emma2617 · 03/06/2008 17:22

I guess I'm the only one with no life!! Hope you're all good and that things are going well!

Im still trying to decide if I've ovulated yet or not! and even though CD16 I'm convincing myself I'm pregnant...it's so ridiculous I even made myself laugh!

emma2617 · 03/06/2008 17:34

Gosh it's been quite in here lately girlies! Hope your all well?
Well it's back to the top for me
Feeling rather emotional this week, my EDD for the m/c in January is approaching fast in August and I always though I'd be pg before then (ha ha) So the pressure is on!
Trying to be positive about AF arriving, at least I can go out on Saturday for my birthday and have a few too many

Morning Mollie sorry TEW got you again...but a syou say at least you can enjoy yourself at weekend!! Positive mental attitude and all that jazz!!

Trying not to sound too stupid...but what is EDD?!

MollieMooma · 05/06/2008 11:36

Emma Expected due date, (essentially when the baby I miscarried would have been due)

glastochick · 05/06/2008 14:12

Oh Mollie, so sorry TEW got you

Went for my Day21 blood test this morning. Stupidly looked at the needle as it was hanging from my arm and felt rather ill! Nurse reminded me I am due for a smear and would I like one now? Officially on the 2WW and as ever am convinced I'm pregnant, so declined the offer as I know pregnancy can skew smear results.

Got home to a letter for the hospital with an appointment on the 17th for a scan. Didn't realise things would move this quickly! In a way, I'm glad things are moving quickly as I'd rather know one way or another instead of spending each month in limbo wondering what is wrong with me; and knowing me I'd be cursing the NHS if they dragged their feet as I expect them to! My only concern about the scan is that it will be on CD5 or 6 depending on when AF arrives next week, and AF might still be visiting. Hope they can still do a scan and the results will be accurate with that still going on?

Now this is odd. Noticed some stretchy CM this morning (sorry, probably TMI ). Was splashing about in the stuff on CDs 14 and 15. Is it normal to get it on CD21? I've never noticed it this late in the cycle? It wasn't EW, like on days 14 and 15, but was definitely stretchy....

HopingCat · 05/06/2008 22:57

Glasto - I have had some months with CM on really odd days. I wasn't TTC so wasn't noticing which days they were, but I've definitely found it around day 20 and wondered what on earth my body is doing. Have decided that the method of looking at CM and deciding when to BD will never work for me. I use persona instead.

Anyone else ever tried Persona? I've used it since I got married 3 years ago - both as a contraceptive and then when TTC my dd, as it does tell me each month when I'm about to ovulate.

If anyone updates the list I'm on CD2 today. Cycle 1. I've not done it before so won't try it yet.

HC x

MollieMooma · 06/06/2008 12:47

HC Can I ask what is Persona? I've added you in properly on the list now and guess what we're CB's! (Cycle Buddies) Regards CM well mine seems to correspond to OV (but there's not much)
Glasto You could try googling about a second lot of EWCM and see if that comes up with anything? Glad to hear things are moving quickly at the Doc's for you. Let's hope you wont' need anymore tests

Hello all!

Just popping in for a quick catch up. Been quite ill with a chest infection and sickness. Had talked myself into it being MS but had another BFN on wed (cd 36). DOn't know what is going on, having had spotting on cd 21. Anyway, thought I'd let you know, nothing much happening here!

Mollie - so sorry to see you back at the top. Have a lovely birthday and a fab night out. Might be the last drinking session you have for a while!

Glasto - glad to hear things are moving. Give the hosp a call to see whether AF will matter for scan.

Hope everyone else ok. x

glastochick · 06/06/2008 16:43

Darn it, I was hoping you'd say it was an early sign hoping and I should be expecting an imminent BFP

Despite not being pregnant Jaamy, I seem to have developed a bad case of pregnancy brain. Why didn't I think of just phoning them? I'll do that on Monday morning. Am hoping they won't say it's a problem, as the appointment ties in with a physiotherapy appointment and a consultant appointment for something else. Much easier to spend a morning up there and take a half day holiday, than have to arrange it around work.

How do people fit all these appointments around work?

I am so so proud of DH . He had a dentist appointment this morning so went into work later. I suggested, as I was about to leave this morning, that it would be an ideal time for him to produce his sample and drop it off especially as work weren't expecting him until nearly lunch time. He phoned me from the train to say sample produced and handed in, and the results should be back next Wednesday afternoon!

I really thought it was going to be a struggle, as although he'd offered to do one as soon as I came home with the sample pot the reality seemed to make him clam up. I guess the lesson to be learnt is not to give him too much time to stew over it and decide to back out

Jaamy, how long are your cycles normally? Would it be worth visiting your GP for blood tests if home pregnancy tests aren't showing anything?

Off to google 2nd lot of EWCM as had more this morning....

JustJaamy · 06/06/2008 20:58

Hi Glasto and Well Done Mr Glasto! See, he knows how very important these tests are and wants to help you through everything. Hope the results come back ok and that your appts work out ok. I remember trying to schedule everything in when I was having tests when TTC DD1. (Un)fortunately I'd not long had a quite serious kidney infection so work was used to me disappearing for a morning or afternoon in the hospital. I think that employers have to give you reasonable time off, though if you don't want to broadcast what the tests are for or have a job where a lot of people rely on you it must be difficult.

My cycles were terribly irregular prior to having DD1 (ended up on clomid after tests proved no reason for not being able to conceive), there wasn't much time between stopping BF and conceiving DD2 but as I recall, a couple of normal 28 day cycles which have also been the case since stopping BF with DD2, until (strangly enough) I started posting on this thread about 6 months ago. Cycles been anywhere from 21days (after CP) and and 36/37days.

I think I will wait until I return from hols at beg of July and then, if there's no holiday bean, "do a glasto" and speak to the doc. We'll have been TTC for about 12months by then. I know it's not a tremendously long time but I'm getting on a bit now and would like to get checked out sooner rather than later.

HopingCat · 07/06/2008 20:29

Mollie, Persona is a contraceptive method. I didn't fancy the pill or any other method, and this was recommended to me by a friend. I bought my machine from Boots, and each month I press a button on day 1 of each cycle. Then I wee on 8 persona test sticks during each cycle on the days the machine tells me to, and the machine tells me each day whether it is a green day (sex is safe) or a red day (may get pg). When it is used to your cycle you get a lot of green days. It also tells me when I'm about to ovulate, and tells me when af is due.

I've used it not to get pg when first married, and then when we wanted to have a baby I kept using it but instead of abstaining on red days (or using a condom) we knew that was when we should bd. We got pg on 2nd cycle. Hoping that it will all happen quickly again this time.

For more info on Persona, look here www.persona.org.uk/uk/

HopingCat · 07/06/2008 20:33

Glasto - sorry, hope you didn't think I was being negative. It is possible that odd CM is a sign of pg. I thought everything was a sign of pg last time I was ttc so am trying not to be like that this time, but I am thinking positive thoughts for you. Hope that the googling came up with something for you.

HC

Hey Lou!! It has been quiet here lately hasn't it?! Hope you are good!

I have had a long day too...been feeling headachey and dizzy all day then had to run to the toilet at work to be sick at about 4 not helped by the fact everyone was then saying "oooh...are you pregnant?! Are you sure?!" to which unfortunately I couldn't reply "NO...i am not pregnanat...and I would know, ive tested 4/5 times already!! Then I got home and was locked out cos the lock on front door had broken!!

I am now laid in bed feeling sorry for myself!! I'm convinced AF is on her way...but still trying to convince myself it could still happen!

blackrock · 09/06/2008 20:45

It's the sunny weather. All the better for BD, and relaxation which must help!

Have an app. with gyn on the 17th, so hoping to get a BFP before then, but AF due a couple of days after the app (if cycle is predictable this month.

Dilemma...

Should I postpone the app. and risk waiting another six months, or go anyway.... and be told AF is on the way....cycle may normalise in the next six month...etc?

What would you do?

Emma you will get a BFP soon, it hasn't been long yet, am on the same count as you this month but a year on... but that is the way for me! Get outside and enjoy the sunset

Hi emma blackrock and Moonlit!

BR - def take the appointment, at least it will put your mind at ease that you have done something practical. I am in exactly the same position as you, had a letter today asking me to phone to make my hosp appt.
Im feeling for you. 11 cycles is too long for no BFP!!!

Emma - hope you feel better today, and TEW did not show.

at Moonlit and everyone else!

Glasto - Good on your DH, mine is too embarassed and insisting I take his little pot to the path lab myself. I'll do it, but he owes me!

Hi loustillwantsaBFPtoo,

Hey ladies I feel for you, CD1 Cycle 18 for me today.

My DH was supposed to take a sample today to the lab, but he got in a strop last night, and refused to take one in this morning. He has ,waisted the 1 month wait for this appointment and now his childish behavior has affected my appointment with the consultant at the end of this month.

Men can be such prats!!!!

I am so annoyed, can you tell

I possibly poison his food tonight

Hi Lou I'm feeling much better today, although slept for 12 hours last night and still really tired! But no sign of TEW yet trying to stop myself from testing again!!!! And 11 cycles? I am so not complaining anymore! I know I'm only on cycle 1 but we had a lond preparation period so it almost 5 months since we decided to TTC so it just feels like a long time!

Moonlit I had the same problem with DP, before we set about TTC we had his little swimmers tested as his entire family has sub-fertility issues (and we found out he does too!!) but it took me 3 months to get him to make Drs appt to arrange depositing a sample!! And then I had to be involved in producing the sample

I just feel lucky that I'm still very young and at my fertility prime to try and compensate for his lack of!!

Hope everyone else is okay!!

Both mine and DHs results are back. I phoned today and the receptionist could tell me over the phone that my blood tests all came back ok. So, all fine I thought .

Ask if DH's are back, "yes they are" she says, "he needs to phone us for his". Again, all perfectly acceptable. DH phones, then phones me back.

"There's something wrong" he says. I think he is joking, while that sinking feeling deep in my stomach developed. He wasn't joking. They won't tell him over the phone. Big conflab amongst the receptionists over who he needs to see (we're both registered at the same surgery but under different doctors), and eventually decide he needs to see my Dr as she is the one who requested the tests. He's got to wait until Thursday morning to see her for the results.

This really sucks. I'm now going to be worrying, convincing myself all is doom and gloom for us.

Please someone tell me there is hope???
