Morning Ladies!! Hope everyone is good after the bank holiday!

Im on CD9 and preparing myself for ov!! DP is getting all excited about the forthcoming BD fest!

I've been temping since CD1 but my temp is seriously fluctuating from 96.3 to 97.4 (farenheit)on pretty much a daily basis...does anyone know if it is normal to fluctuate this much?

beaniesteve · 27/05/2008 13:58

Morning.
CD14 and had a peak on the CBFM this morning which is a bit of a shock as I got a low yesterday so it seems to have missed out the highs all together.

Anyway - went to the hospital for a scan for a swollen node I discovered in Jan and spent the first 5 minutes of the scan discussing my fertility. Then I mentioned to the doctor that actually I was there for my swollen node not for conception purposes, so he looked at my notes and said 'nothing here about a swollen node, but we'll check ayway' so basically despite chasing this up 3 times with my doctor she's not even managed to inform them correctly about my node!

He says it all seems normal and also said that he can see I am just about to ovulate and the other doctor who came in said it looked very healthy. Though they were finding it hard to see my other ovary for some reason.

I just feel more positive now and will be using pre-seed tonight

MollieMooma · 27/05/2008 14:51

Beanie Good news on the fertility side then but not so good on the useless GP, glad everything has worked out fine Good luck for later

Knax · 27/05/2008 15:05

Hi everyone,
silly persona question that someone may know the answer to... Although I'm not using a pg test stick yet because I'm resisting, I did just use a persona stick for some reason, as I thought it may test the same hormone?! It had a 2nd fainter line on it and I am hoping that may be a good sign, but as it's not a pg testing kit but an ov testing kit it probably isn't. I know, i know, I'm kidding myself in testing using a non-pg testing kit. blush It's almost as barmy as peeing on a cotton bud (I haven't done that by the way!)

louwantsaBFPtoo · 27/05/2008 19:24

Hello all!
Back from hols - had a lovely week.
Hope you are all okay?
However... need a little advice from my TTC buddies!
No period yet.
3 BFN tests.(last one sunday)
Longest cycle I have had since my PCOS got a LOT better.
Dont know when I OV'd but it could have been when I had the spotting!? CD25/26
The first time I was PG i didnt get a BFP until 20 days after ovulation.
Very sore boobs, very tired!

HELP HELP HELP!
Does anyone have any ideas?
Am going to my GP next week anyway, so even if AF comes majorly late I will get something sorted then, even if I have to chain myself to the chair in the doc's room!

any advice welcome - including telling me not to be such a muppet for still hoping I might be pregnant!

josiejellybean · 27/05/2008 21:30

beanie thats good news about fertility its good to get a consultants advice but GP can be so anoying! I understand there busiy but they could spend al little more time ensuring referal letters are done properly.

Lou I have no ideas babe im sorry im keeping my fingers crossed for you and hope its a BFP for you. I hope you GP can shed some light for you.

CD36 and stll no AF fingers still tightly crossed ....please keep me going till friday i really dont want to test before then...

beaniesteve · 27/05/2008 21:56

Good luck Josie, is your cycle usually this long?

Lou - fingers crossed for you too.

SparklyPiliPala · 27/05/2008 22:07

I still haven't managed to catch up on this thread but I'll spend some time doing it tomorrow.
I'm 7DPO so the 2WW is passing slowly.
xxx

Knax · 27/05/2008 22:23

keeping everything crossed for sparkly, Lou and Josie (and all the others on the 2WW).
I'm on CD 28 and have resisted testing so far.

Ses15 · 28/05/2008 09:28

Hi! Was wondering whether anyone had any ideas or useful suggestions on my situation? I sufferred a missed miscarriage 6 weeks ago and after the initial bleeding haven't had another period. On Saturday and then again this morning I've had a BFP but I know sometimes the hormones can stay in ur system after miscarriage. Any ideas??!

beaniesteve · 28/05/2008 10:58

Hey Ses - it could be that you are pregnant again with it being 6 weeks and everything and the BFP. Could you do another test tomorrow and tehn maybe see if the doctor can do a blood test if it's positive?

Am feeling like I have given it my best shot this month. Second peak on the CBDM today and we had sex lastnight and on Sunday night so I really am hoping we've done enough, specially after teh dr at the scan said I had an ovary just waiting to burst and egg out

piper84 · 28/05/2008 11:10

Oh josie i have everything tightly crossed for you xxx how long is your cycle normally?

well i'm only on boring cd4 and the clomid symptoms havent started to kick in yet

lou and sparkly and knax fingers cross too .......... why does the 2ww always go by so S L O W L Y

ses15 i'm so sorry to hear about your missed miscarraige i think you should talk to your doctor about the bfp. i have my fingers crossed for you

Beanie Goodluck!!!!!

JustJaamy · 28/05/2008 11:20

Molliemooma - LOL at "womanly charms". Your poor DH doesn't stand a chance! Enjoy the BD!

BS and Emma - enjoy your BD too. Hope will be fruitful - signs seem really good, BS.

Ses - do you have a EPU (Early Prgnancy Unit) at your hospital? GIve them a call and explain that you had a MMC and now have BFP. They will proabably ask you to go in and see them. They will test blood and have results in 24hrs (quicker than GP - all that waiting is agonising). Good luck!

JJB, knax and Lou - really excited for you. Sending lots of BFP vibes your way!

Welcome to newbies - Wannabump, kels - hope your stay is short and sweet.

blackrock - sorry AF set in. Onwards and upwards to another (fruitful) month.

Hi to everyone else...hope all OK.

No sign of AF yet. Would be due today if a 28 day cycle but have been all over the place recently...dare I test? Don't know if I can resist...

beaniesteve · 28/05/2008 11:32

oooh - test, no don't, yes test!

good luck - what was your last cycle like?

JustJaamy · 28/05/2008 12:16

Last cycle was 34 days...21 days before that...CP before that...spotting on CD21 this cycle so really don't know where I'm up to!

MollieMooma · 28/05/2008 14:45

Knax & Lou Everything crossed for BFP's for you
Ses Sorry to hear about your mm/c, but here's hoping your pg again already!
Beanie So hoping you caught that egg hun x
Jaamy Oh my I so want to tell you to test, test, test but now how disappointing it is if you get a BFN! How is your resistance holding up? We could so do with a BFP, there hasn't been one for a while

MollieMooma · 28/05/2008 14:47

glastochick · 28/05/2008 15:16

Hi All

Well, went to the Dr yesterday morning. Was all prepared to cry and beg, but I didn't have to in the end. She was lovely .

Said that the first thing to do would be have some blood tests done on CD21 (so got an appointment on the 5th to have them taken) to check testosterone, progesterone, FSH and LH levels. She will also run a random glucose test. I told her how my cycles were previously regular as clockwork, but now they have become irregular. She said the day 21 blood tests should be taken 7 days before the start of the next cycle, but with irregular cycles that's difficult to predict, so for the initial tests we should see what comes back from the day 21.

She said the next stage would be scans to check for potential PCOS and / or referral to the infertility clinic depending on results of blood tests. There I would be under a consultant and she said the consultant could prescribe Clomid if I was considered suitable.

She also recommended that DH has his swimmers tested , so I came home with a sample pot for him to fill and take up to the lab. The print out she gave me said he must have abstained from sex for 48 hours before providing the sample, so I think we'll wait until AF is here before we deal with that one. I do have first dibs on his swimmers after all !

All in all I'm feeling much more positive about things .

beaniesteve · 28/05/2008 17:01

So glad to hear it was all positive Glastochick.

Am thinking now that as the scan I had the other day was mistakenly thought to be a fertility scan, until I told them it was for my node, perhaps I can expect some info back about possible PCOS. Not that I have any suspicions that I might have and the two doctors were all smiley and banging on about healthy looking ovaries so maybe not...

anyway - just musing really.

Good luck with the test on his swimmers

MollieMooma · 28/05/2008 18:39

Glasto Really glad it went so well for you hun Here's hoping they can catch your 21 days at the right time!

Ses15 · 28/05/2008 18:49

Just wanted to say thanks for all the positive vibes following my post this morning. Today was the first time I'd seen this site and am now really pleased I did. Thank you all!
I did actually see my GP this morning about something else so I told her about the BFP. She said it was most likely to be a new pregnancy but to wait a week and do another test. She did also suggest contacting the local Early Pregnancy Unit - which I then did! - and they said pretty much the same as my GP. I guess I'll just have to try and be patient (!??!) for the next week and see what happens!
Thanks again and sending lots of positive vibes back to you all

beaniesteve · 28/05/2008 18:51

So - dilemma. Am on my second peak day and lots more EWCM today but don't think I can psible make further sexual demands on my OH. He's knackered. Scan yesterday indicated an egg about to be released. Wonder if last night will be enough.

MollieMooma · 28/05/2008 19:49

Beanie Get your sexy underwear on and dig out the oysters girl, you'd better go again just to make sure!!!
