YAY! got a high on my fertility monitor. Roll on the peaks.

tinkhasovulated · 29/04/2008 09:08

great beanie we are both celebrating today then

glastochick · 29/04/2008 09:30

Welcome back lockets, although it is sad to see you here. Wishing you lots of luck and sending baby dust your way

Not much to report here. Had some non baby making BD'ing at the weekend which made a nice change. Feels like ages to wait until OV time (usually CD17). Unfortunately DH is away with work all of bank holiday weekend so no BD'ing then , but hoping to pounce on him as soon as he returns

Quick report back on my first reflexology session: as she did the pressure points that relate to my ovaries I could feel and hear some crunching which could relate to a blockage she said , so next week when I go back I'm going to have a 1 hour session and she's really going to concentrate on that area. It didn't make me wee more as I'd been expecting. Instead, I felt much more energised afterwards and had the best nights' sleep I've had in a long time.

Felt really reassured when she told me her boss suffers from PCOS and after 3 months of reflexology she conceived and now has an 8 week old baby

LittleSquirt · 29/04/2008 14:18

Welcome back Locket!

Reflexology sounds great Glasto - I hope it gets you a BFP really soon and great that it helps you sleep so well too!

Treats - sorry TEW got you

Well done on the egg Tink - you are now officially joining us on the loooong 2WW, may it go quickly this month and bring us loads of BFPs! (only 3 in April so far, hopefully May will be a much more productive month! )

JJ - STILL keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you. Did you test this morning? You could be our fourth April BFP, that would be wonderful!

Hi Ei - how are you doing hun?

BS - so pleased you got a high on your CB Monitor, get BD'ing girl!!!

Well, I am off to see a specialist gynae in Harley Street at 5pm tonight and I feel really scared (no idea why, I'm sure he won't tell me much yet anyway as today is only the initial consultation). I will ask him if it is "normal" that my periods are still only 2/3 days long and also whether I should be worried that I am not getting that much CM and don't get any "highs" on my CB Monitor anymore (I reckon it might mean a problem with my oestrogen).

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 29/04/2008 14:34

hi ladies
tink yay for the egg
LS hi im great how are you? good luck at the gynae and do let us know how you get on. my AFs never usually last more than 2-3 days so i hope thats not going to be a problem
glasto reflexology sounds good i keep meaning to look for a local one near me but i keep forgetting. i might look into it today then
hi to everyone else

Treats · 29/04/2008 15:56

Afternoon everyone.

Your reflexology sounds really good, glasto. I had a few sessions of acupuncture, but wasn't really convinced. I only had the two so maybe I shouldn't have been so hasty. But it's eye wateringly expensive round here (SW London), so felt a bit reluctant to fork out for something when I couldn't guarantee results.

Might look into reflexology though......

Congrats tink - loving the new name.

And Queeny! (Not sure I know what it means though.......)

Good luck with the gynae LS. I have an appointment with a career coach at the same time. Feel a bit of a fraud, as the last thing I want is to focus on my career at the moment - but work offered it so I thought I might as well.....

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 29/04/2008 16:13

hi treats good luck at your career thing my name is an old playground game have you not heard of it?? (peter kay sung about it on one of his tours queeny eye queeny eye whos got the ball? i havent got it, it isnt in my pocket...and so on it might just be a northern school thing though)
i booked my first reflexology session before its tomorrow at 2:15 and is £20 a session im hoping that is reasonable i spoke to a student reflexologist before her too and she was charging £7 a session but said she has only just started so wouldnt be very adept at it yet so i gave her my number and said call me when she has been doin it for a bit
im quite excited now

lou2311 · 29/04/2008 17:36

Ooh - good luck Ei hope you feel all mellow like I did, I have my next one next week...

beaniesteve · 29/04/2008 20:30

EWCM today but just the high on the monitor and no positive OV test.

All systems go though! Thankfully this month it won't coincide with the monthly visit to the brother in-law's house - praise the lord.

MsSparkle · 29/04/2008 21:25

Evening all,

I just wanted some advice please. The first day of my last AF was on March 24th (Which was 5 weeks ago.) I was going to wait and have my April AF then dp and i were going to start ttc in May however dp and i got carried away two weeks ago and went unpretected. I thought it would be fine as it was 3 weeks after my last AF so i thought i would be past ovulation.

I think i may have been sooo wrong as i still have no AF now. I have some period like pains and know you can get them even if your pregnant but i usually get mouth ulsers before my AF which i haven't had.

Do you think i should wait and week and if still no AF then test?

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 29/04/2008 21:29

hi mssparkle i would do a test as you could be preg im not exactly a reliable source for testing as im an admitted serial tester but i say TEST TEST TEST good luck

nervousal · 29/04/2008 21:35

sorry to just jump in. I've now had 2 mcs- one Nov 06 and one jun 07. WE're not really "trying" (I couldn't bear the disappointment), but we're not taking any precautions either - so - Does this qualify me for TTC??

beaniesteve · 29/04/2008 21:40

test tomorrow morning Sparkle

nervousal - you are 'seeing what happens' but within weeks you'll be TTC

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 08:28

MsSparkle · 30/04/2008 10:33

beaniesteve · 30/04/2008 10:48

OMG! coongratulations Sparkle!

Eleveld · 30/04/2008 11:42

Updated list.

No idea what is going on with me. Have never had anything like a 38 day cycle in my life. And there is no sign of anything on its way. Had bit of brown stuff for a couple of days 10 days ago. Surely that can't have been my period? It was nothing like one - wouldn't have even known if I wasn't using tampon.

Two negative tests - last one yesterday

beaniesteve · 30/04/2008 11:44

Eleved, good luck. I had a 31 day cycle which is unheard of for me a couple of months ago. Wasn't pregnand

Hope you get an answer soon.

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 11:45

congrats mssparkle

JustJaamy · 30/04/2008 12:47

Hello MsSparkle and CONGRATULATIONS! Got to be the fastest result on the TTC thread!

Eleveld - can I join you on a whatthehellisgoingonwithmybody thread? BFN again for me today (CD34). This wasn't unusual for me BC, 5 years ago but since having DDs AF has been pretty much bang on 28 days. No spotting here but a few cramps. Arghhhh it's driving me mad! Maybe our AFs are sat on a park bench somewhere having a gossip and a good old laugh at our expense! If TEW is going to come I just wish she would instead of keeping us waiting like this. Hope you get some resolution soon

Ei - how was the reflexology? £20 sounds reasonable for hereabouts. I was paying £15 a session when TTC DD1, 5 years ago. Hope it has the desired effects.

Welcome nervousal - I don't do the temping or charting or ovulation predictor tests and still count myself as TTC. Think when you are having unprotected sex and know you want children you still get disappointed when AF arrives whether you think of yourselves as TTC or not. Good luck!

LittleSquirt - how was it at the gynae? Hoe there was some positive news.

Treats - I think the career overhaul is a fab idea! You'll get everything sorted and be on your way to a fab new job and then get PG. It's sods law.

Glastochick - my old reflexologist used to go on about crunchy feet and blockages. SHe also said that the bit behind your ankle should puff up (like retaining fluid) when pg. She told me that I was pg before I could tell her the good news! OMG, everyone's gonna have lovley little chilled out reflexology babies!

BTW - just felt up the back of my ankles and skinny as can be.

Hope everyone else is ok and those that are ovulating are bonking away...in the nicest possible way.

glastochick · 30/04/2008 13:12

Almost reassuring to hear that crunchy feet and blockages has been referred to by another reflexologist justjaamy .

Now I keep checking my ankles for signs of puffiness even though I'm not due to OV until next week! What am I like???

Still, a lovely relaxed reflexology pregnancy and a relaxed baby sounds just the ticket for me. I can't wait for OV this month and my next reflexology session. Lol, I still haven't managed to master the art of patience
