Hi eleveld can't help on the spotting, I'm never really sure what that actually means although I hear you on the brown gunk, mine's usually like that for a good half of my period! It's grim.

the confusing thing is - do I count this as CD1? Or wait till it's red?

Ele thats what i had this month, old followed by new. Not fun, and very disappointing!

Mine came properly within 24 hrs so if it goes red today then personally i would count today as day 1 xx

Lou2311 - when did you count as CD1? It's so light at teh mo that i wouldn't know if I hadn't used a tampon

No sore boobs which is unusual

Mine always works the other way, new followed by old it's most confusing, I can only assume my uterus gets bored halfway through and gives up!

Well, I briefly thought about implantation bleeding yesterday (I think it's reading stuff on this site that sometimes gets you clutching at straws - I'd never heard of implantation bleed before!). Didn't have any HPT in but I'd read somewhere (again on this site) that you could use OPKs for the same job. I had one of those in so I used it but it was ABSOLUTELY 100% negative.

So I'm sure it's just the start of AF - just want it to start properly so I can get on with it again.

AF arrived with avengence last night, actally not about it though cause for once i didnt test and get a BFN cause the charting sort of "tipped me off" that she was on her way iykwim . poor DP was v upset though . ok tmi coming up... does anybody know of anything i can take to increase ewcm

Hi babychicken sorry to hear you're out for this month, poor you and DP, it's always easy to forget that it's hard for them as well, I know I'm guilty of being all me,me,me when I get my period and forget he's upset as well (not that I'm saying you're the same of course!).

From what I've read green tea and grapefruit juice as supposed to increase EWCM although when I've tried to find science behind it there doesn't seem to be much, it's mostly anecdotal and there's suspicions that generally increasing fluid intake of non-caffeinated drinks helps. Also I believe evening primrose oil is supposed to help with the friendliness of it but should only be taken up to ovulation for some reason?

I cannot vouch for any of this, it's just from my own investigations although I've started on the green tea this month so will keep you posted!

Oufton, I was told the same thing at my acupuncture visit on Sat Cold uterus and kidneys, I'm interested to see if they have remained warm until my next visit on 30/4
Lou, does sound like you had someone having a bad day, at the EPU. I can't complain at all about anyone I've seen, from sonographers (3 scans) to blood tests (at least 10), 5th gynae appt tomorrow and countless gp appts. All been very nice, just a bit sick of it all really.
So where are these 'mean' posts, I could do with a laugh, and I can wind people up and then wait a few hours for a response

oh scully I'm glad I'm not alone, I've been getting mental pictures of little beans trying to implant in some giant industrial fridge unit, no wonder they're not keen!! I've been told to pop a hot water bottle on area at any opportunity so it's going to be a cosy night on the sofa for me. Did they give you any advice on keeping it warm?

She didn't actually, just said to sit instead of standing and lie instead of sitting, when possible. So thinking of taking a sofa to work so I can lounge around
Might try the hottie bottle though, it's getting a little cooler here in the evenings now so I won't work up a sweat at least

Now that is the kind of advice I like, how marvelous! I shall be passing on that info to DH tonight when I'm issuing requests from a prone position on the sofa, fab!

Mine also told me not to drink cold drinks (room temp at min) and that the abdomen should always be warmer to touch that the rib cage area, mine was woefully chillier, lame chilly uterus of mine!

Thanks Oufton will try the green tea so, sounds yuch, but anything is worth a try was thinking of trying the acupuncture too, lol at industrial fridge unit.

I do like green tea though, perhaps that will balance it out

God tell me about it, it's already ruining the mere thought of a Friday after beer. It's going to have to be red wine all the way I reckon.

Oh and green tea balances everything out, I know that for a fact .

The EPU and ward I was on were very nice all the time apart from that last scan, a couple of weeks after MC.
I felt so crap anyway that i might have been a little over sensitive! It just felt like "yep you have a BFN on your urine and look there's no baby in there, off you go..." and our EPU is right next to maternity ward with happy families coming out with new babies as you leave from your scans! not very nice.

I think I may have OV yday as temp rose today. We'll see over the next few days.

Eleveld I get pre-AF spotting every month for a few days. CD1 is when the red blood starts flowing. I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed that AF stays away and what you're experiencing is implantation spotting. I have never heard that OPKs can act as HPTs. I might read in to that.
