Well speak of the devil, my temp finally went down. This has been a really short AF! I'm not even sure FF has it starting on the right day, can't decide if I was 'spotting' or 'light'.

Ready · 30/03/2008 12:16

How long til someone pops up and tells us it is in fact Zita West? ? wonder if anyone will be brave enough

Sorky, I sometimes get nauseous after ovulation? half way between ov and period usually ? which the first couple of times I noticed it was to say the least. I think it is the progesterone that is responsible? but then again, it might not be? that?s the worst thing ? you just don?t know.

Sarah, I hate travelodges? we got stuck with one once and I complained the entire time ? so I feel for you. But you got your bag though didn?t you? Have I missed the ScaryHairy story?

Lottie, I just envisioned you as a Eurovision Lovely ?Spain Calling? ? enjoy all the nookie, you never know there could be a Rambo sperm in there ? he?ll camp out til the egg makes and appearance ? remember Greedy
PMSL at the panda lecture ? you are, of course, correct.
Hope you are having a whale of a time

Fym, I have had shingles? not nice. Sorry to hear that your ds is poorly still.

Fruity, of course I wish that you had got your bfp? but I am pleased for you that you have an ickle ff chart. Hope that things settle down for you. Looks like the norethisterone worked well for you. Are you going to take any supplements or treatments to regulate your cycle? Acupuncture is supposedly very good.?

Ladies? remember, when you are in a new cycle your coverline is not necessarily going to remain the same as last month? so it is possible that your temps as a whole could be higher this month? so wait and see what happens, your coverline will be placed accordingly.

Big wave to everyone else...

Morning all! Sarah that sucks about losing your handbag again especially on a weekend away.

Lottie I'm very jealous I wish I was in spain!

Sorkie I sometimes get nauseous in the 2ww too. Usually early enough that I know it couldn't be pregnancy hormones.

FF tells me I have possible implantation spotting and my chart is possibly triphasic. I would squeal excitedly and go test but FF tells me these things far too often for that.

Nosing about in other people's charts as usual....and Minxi, what's happening? That's quite a drop in one day! Looking at your other charts, looks like you do get big drops before O, maybe get a BD in today just in case?

Ready, the ScaryHairy story was basically that she had BFNs, got her 'period', temp still didn't go down, and then got a BFP after three weeks or so!

Claire, FF gave me the 'possible triphasic' thing last month then took it away after a few days....I was so disappointed.

Thank you Lottie ... I'm particularly disappointed this month as I'd had spotting at 9DPO which I'd never had before. I'm so jealous that you are within reach of some chocolate con churros ... perfect comfort food. Please have some for me!! Have a lovely holiday.

ClairePO ... good luck!! I had spotting but no triphasic so that's bound to be more hopeful!!

Fruity ... yay!! for your wee FF chart

Ready · 30/03/2008 15:12

Hang in there ClaireLesley, I hope this doesn't sound patronising... but I remember the 7th cycle, it is over 6 months and you are starting to doubt it will ever happen... well I did anyway, but remember, you are still well within the average range. Don't give up.

Lottie - "windswept Spain Calling" - Wogan would love that ... those churros looks lush by the way ... I can't wait to sample some real madeira cake

beaniesteve · 30/03/2008 16:33

Hellooo

a question.

Is it worrying that I am getting a zig zag effect, as in my temp is down then up then down again? Not wildly so, just degrees. I am on CD4

Sarah yes I know have huge temp drop today but it is day 25 so surely I can't ovulate that late ??? I was out last night at a hen do but only had a couple drinks and a late night so may affect temp but I thought it would have been the other way.... have managed a bd today but only cos dh going away now until Thursday have never ovulated this late and monitor only has highs showing - so if anyone can help or advise then great...

Lottie pmsl you in Santaigo with dh reading and you lap topping!!

Ready hope all is well with you - have you started your job yet ?

Fruity hope this cycle isn't as long!

Must dash - wil be back dh waiting for taxiso best say goodbye otherwise...he will get X with me

Ready · 30/03/2008 16:39

Hey Minxi, No. Still not started, getting so impatient. Should really just enjoy the sabbatical shouldn't I? But I just want to settle in. Should hear something next week, or I will be chasing! How are you? How was the hen do? Good girly fun

Beaniesteve... I would suggest warming the thermometer up before accepting the reading. Sleeping with your mouth open can affect the reading - so get it acclimatised to your mouth then press the button.

ClairLesley · 30/03/2008 17:28

Ready ... thank you, you read my mind! Are you one of our accupuncture ladies? I was thinking of giving that a go this cycle. Am I right in thinking you should have a session a few days before ovulation?

If anyone can help me 'time' accupuncture, I'd be very grateful!

sarah76 · 30/03/2008 18:06

Oh yes, suggestions on when to time accupuncture would be helpful!

Minxi, you definitely can ovulate on day 25. FF has my average O day as 27, but because it varies so wildly with me I've O'd anywhere from CD8 to CD63! It's the LP that generally doesn't change much. It looks like you've had some anovulatory cycles where you've had the same kind of big drop, but I think better to be hopeful and BD just in case O is a bit late this month! I also usually notice a bit temp spike after I drink, so it is odd that it went way down instead!

Beanie, I think temps can be a bit rocky at the start of the month so wouldn't worry about it too much. Best not to get obsessed over the day to day, you're looking for a shift in temps to confirm you've ovulated, and you'll only have that after the fact. I'd say focus on checking/charting CM for the big warning that you're about to O! BTW, have you stuck a link to your FF chart on the other thread? Also don't see your name on the list, but stick it in today or tomorrow!

Clair, sorry AF got you.

Hope you've all had lovely weather where you are today - we even sat out on the patio at lunchtime and had a drink and I was kicking a football around with ds in the garden both of us without a coat on - I got that little shiver of "ooh summer is on it's way" - funny to think that the same time last weekend we were stuck indoors avoiding the sleet and snow...weird.

lottie The chocolate con churros comment came at the wrong time - I've just finished munching my way through a salad (dh choice, I would have had cheese on toast)...and ooh I could do with one of those.....

beanie - if it helps ( you can see my chart on the chart thread) - my temps were very jagged pre ov - I was having a bit of difficulty though taking temps at exactly the same time and on a few occasions had to get up to ds in the night and may not have got to sleep to get my 3 hours.....so are you taking at same time and on at least 3 hours sleep? I've found post ov, I've had some better nights sleep and it's all calmed down a bit Other factors - alcohol, illness can also have an effect?....Sarah's point is right too though I've heard that they can be a little up and down at the begin anyway...

herbgarden · 30/03/2008 20:46

PS to all of you being a newbie to this thread - I thought I wouldn't get particularly het up re taking a test this month but have just realised that I'm now 5 dpo and may be able to test soon ?..........or shall I just wait to see if AF comes?? Or will you not let me ?!. I might have to hide. I have a selection of cheap and digital tests in the drawer but as I'm convinced I'm not (no symptoms whatsoever) - I may well just wait..... When I got pregnant with ds I was convinced AF was coming as I had all AF symptoms and then suddenly took the test on my due date and got the BFP. I hadn't really thought of testing up to that point (mmm, bit strange really)....then again I can't really remember when the AF symptoms started either....

minxi · 30/03/2008 20:54

Clairl I have had accupuncture twice this month, cd8 and cd15 - didn't / don't feel any different, the session itself was lovely and relaxing but lots of stories I have heard are all good to having accupuncture and re-balancing! However, you do need a few weeks to feel the benefits - I ws supposed to go last week but he cancelled and now I wont get to go until mid April when back from hols... one thing I will say though is cycle gone a bit mad as not sure if I have ovulated or not this month as temps v weird.... sorry not much help but I am going to keep with it for a few months at least! Find a good one though!

sorkycake · 30/03/2008 22:12

You're my kinda gal!

I have 8 tests, I'm totally going to indulge and test everyday from 7dpo

I firmly believe in the positive thinking you girls are going for with your cd's.
