The car was perfect - the lady selling it was lovely and it really was what it seemed! Super car and a good price as well...

Lottie ... go for the car! About 6 years ago my brother bought himself a lovely little MX-5 and the next month he & his wife conceived! He kept it for 6 months and then sold it for a VW Golf ... turned out to be a very good jinx!! He now has a Saab convertible and I can tell you there is plenty of room in the boot for a buggy/pram, changing bag etc. So ... you may not have to have to part with it as soon as you think! I have an impractical car also - although mine is 7 years old at this stage - couldn't bear to part with it so 'when' (positive thinking) we are lucky enough to conceive, I'll maybe buy myself a 2nd hand Clio or something. I keep looking-but-not-really-looking at IKEA nursery furniture at the mo ... BTW, pram wars sounds like fun!!!

fym · 02/04/2008 19:45

we've had it a week or so now - got the winning bid on Sunday and collected &paid on tuesday.

It was in sutton coldfield which was a bit of a trek for us (London) but overall a great experience.

LL I don't think I've ever had any success with OPKs....

I find the key to kids is They're yours - other peoples are a nightmare - yours are just lovely.... even howling and creating mayhem .

What really surprised me with DS was I was expecting a "baby" and when he arrived he was a little tiny person with a distinct personality.... I was really shocked...

OP posts:
sorkycake · 02/04/2008 20:22

Jonny Vegas sums it up nicely:
"Kids are like farts, boak at everyone else's, relish your own"

herbgarden · 02/04/2008 21:10

Bit like your own childs nappies - you can just about cope with changing your own but asked to do anothers eeeew no thanks.

Anyway, to change the subject entirely....I have had, since yesterday, so only 7/8 dpo a continual metallic taste in the mouth ...... (maybe one of my amalgam fillings is about to come out??????!)

sorkycake · 02/04/2008 22:44

what was todays temp herbgarden? was it above 36.6?

I do think my post O temps seem quite high. This am it was nearly 99 degrees F, that's 37.2 celsius. Is that normal?

I think i'll go have a little mooch at the charts on ff, see what others are like.

Know what you mean about the nappies btw, others run out the room if I'm changing Ds, I think he's not THAT bad fgs. But maybe it is teehee.

I've got an appointment for my first session of reflexology the day after the removal company dumps our stuff in Warrington. Also booked gym induction for DP and me....and a massage for him since he's having his first driving lesson that morning too! He actually has a licence, but hasn't driven in nearly 14 years...his first attempt with me in the car was a bit frightening, so I'm leaving him with the professionals.

Can't believe it's only 10 days till the removals people load up--we have boxes but haven't done any packing. Tonight I got as far as looking for the scissors to cut the cord off the bale of boxes, then gave up. I highly doubt this will be our BFP month, don't know when we'll have time to BD, and we're going to be exhausted!

Had spotting yesterday so even though my temp has gone back up am not hopeful. POAS'd anyway this morning and it was a BFN.

beaniesteve · 03/04/2008 08:47

Hi there - My temperature went right down the day I stopped my period and has now risen a bit. Is this normal?

fym · 03/04/2008 08:51

Morning ladies

This is an extremely boring time in my cycle. I was wondering if having an Progesterone induced AF might have an effect on my cycle. I dont suppose it can get any worse though but I wonder if this is actually a 'real' cycle iyswim? I'm just not very optimistic about ovulating. I cant bare to go three months(or prob more) again without ovulation
It really is knackering BDing 'just in case' for three months solid [sigh emoticon]

I start every day with that good intention to get rid of my muffin belly and fail miserably - I keep thinking that if I get pregnant then I'll "deal with it" later.....at this rate I'll possibly be a year down the line and a couple of stone heavier. Work is the worst - everyone is always bringing sodding cakes in. I have no no no willpower - it's those mini tub things from M & S which are the worst - every time I pop in the kitchen, I pop one in my mouth. It's hard isn't it.

Temp is still hovering at 36.5/36.6 degrees....I will not give in and POAS...it won't tell me anything - I'm only 9dpo.
