Oh disenchanted, I know how you feel. I've just been through it myself and it's cack isn't it?

I told myself I wasn't going to knicker-check, symptom spot this time around but we do don't we?

It will happen, probably when you least expect it too. We do all need to step away from the tests, it just causes heartache.

LenniEd · 10/04/2008 15:01

LL I agree with you on the testing, it is a bit of an addiction and it doesn't help. I'm often guilty of early testing and have had false positives which are devastating. I have come to realise in the last couple of months that the only benefit from it is money in other peoples pockets when you pay for the tests . I was much better this month (this thread helped) and am not testing at all next month, I'm not even going to buy any so there is no temptation.

OracleInaCoracle · 10/04/2008 15:06

good idea lennie, and im glad the thread helped. ive had to stop using the other ttc threads because they make me want to test early. i now have 2 hpt's in my cupboard that i will not use until this time next month, and i feel very proud of myself for saving the money and uncertainty by not testing early

it does. i wasnt holding hpt's up to the light at 8dpo, or fishing them out of the loo. we have been ttc for 2.5y now and im slowly losing hope.

The trouble with symptom spotting is most people feel cr@p before their period starts anyway. Normally you think to yourself 'Period's due, that's what it is' and get on with your life without constantly checking your boobs are still sore and you still feel nauseous . How different it is when TTC though! And I know all the symptoms are the same cos its the same hormones being produced yada yada... But when you are TTC you want every little thing to mean you are pg. I actually want to feel rubbish at the end of the month cos it might mean I'm pregnant. And when I don't feel rubbish I think oooh, maybe I'm pg cos I don't feel bad this month... reality is I haven't spent the last couple of days eating junk and doing no exercise because I forgot period was due and haven't been vegging out...

OracleInaCoracle · 10/04/2008 17:24

thats it exactly!

Disenchanted · 10/04/2008 20:18

Thankyou for the support.

Am feeling very heavy down there and crampy so I think she is on her way

Anniemac every test I have done in the last 5 months has had a line! And I know Im not nutty, My eyesight is pretty much perfect so i think I can just see the line the dye is supposed to be sucked into.

I showed my DH the test and he confirmed theres a line but he said its 'coulourless, like its behind the test but not a +'

if that makes any sense!!

But it came up straight away so at least I know now there was a line.

Faulty tast maybe??

I just want AF to come so I can get on with next cycle!

Lennied , you summed it up exactly!

londonlottie you are right, i really think I shouldn't buy tests until Im actully late.

Technically Im a teeny bit late though as AF is due today

But she is on her way no doubt!

Heres to lots of BDing this month!

Wasn't into it this cycle and only BD'd 10 & 14.

This month its 10,12,14,16,18!!

And any other times I feel the need! lol

Disenchanted · 11/04/2008 08:14

Hiya,

Just a quick note to say AF hasn't shown yet

Its CD29 and I looked at my diary which I mark things down in and AF came CD27 last time.

I woke up and didn't feel like testing at all thanks to you lot

May not even do it tomorrow, will probably wait till Sunday morning if its still not here.

tinkerbellbringingsexyback · 11/04/2008 08:37

well done d

OracleInaCoracle · 11/04/2008 08:38

thats great, test tomorrow!

OP posts:
Disenchanted · 11/04/2008 08:42

I'll probably leave it till Sunday, thta will be CD31 and thats the longest my cycle has been.

If I test tomorrow Ill still be thingking 'hmmm' if I get a neg, but if I get a neg on sunday Ill know for sure its a real one because the last day we BD'd was CD14 and 17 days after the last BD should give me a proper result shouldn't it?

We did BD after that but it was like CD23 or something so thats not an issue.

OracleInaCoracle · 11/04/2008 08:43

that sounds smart. what will you be using?

Lol, Okey dokes!

hotmama · 11/04/2008 08:55

Been lurking on this thread - hoping for some positive BFP vibes!

Today AF is due and thanks to this thread I haven't tested earlier - I know from experience that if I am going to get a BFP - I don't get it if I test early.

So tested this morning and a BFP straight away.

Thanks girls - hope I won't tempt fate if I join the due in Dec thread.

(Can't do emoticons as dd1 poured coffee on the keyboard and some of the keys stick!) so grin!

Disenchanted · 11/04/2008 09:02
