Hey, how’s everyone doing?
My 3rd blood test hcg was fine! Risen to 503 so have an early scan booked in for 27th Dec. 🤞 praying everything is okay, I’ve had an achey side and hip today..

@MrsAnonymous24 thats wonderful news. I hope you feel a little more relaxed about it all now seeing the rise?

I’ve been feeling fine, apart from sore boobs and I had a couple of episodes of heartburn this afternoon.
I’ve also felt some niggling/cramping pains today too but im assuming that’s all completely normal as everything is settling into my uterus….

how are you feeling otherwise?

ForestWren · 19/12/2023 08:10

@MrsAnonymous24 thats a good rise! Excellent news. And hopefully the scan will totally see your mind at ease. Great that you don’t have to wait too long for that! Have you started telling family or friends?

@Ncl31 more promising signs! Yay! And you have the classic sore boobs. I haven’t had those at all oddly, but then I never get that around af or anything. Are you feeling super confident now or are you still testing? I’m carrying on just for some way to see what’s happening! As I don’t have any other symptoms. Apart maybe from a full feeling and crappy feelings early on. Actually I think my main symptom was not have PMS anxiety/ depression this month!

Tests showing a darker line every day and temps staying up. Told my hairdresser yesterday as I think they can avoid too much scalp dye contact if they know. It was odd that she was only the third person I told after partner and twin! Saw friends last night and luckily dodged drinks as was driving but have a wedding this week and we’re staying in a hotel, and then we’re hosting NYE at our house. So I’m going to have to get crafty as people will expect me to drink!

Ncl31 · 19/12/2023 18:35

@ForestWren i do feel a little more relaxed. I spoke with one of my colleagues today who is 16 weeks pregnant and doing so has relaxed me a little more.
I also work with an one/gynae consultant and today I was with him. I had to tell him so he could do all the heavy lifting etc I used to do. He insisted on doing blood work to get me dated abit better and said if I’m anxious he can get me in for an early scan.
I just need to chill and go with it.
im still peeing on ICs just to see line progression. But I think once I get bloods back etc… I’ll stop that.

MrsAnonymous24 · 19/12/2023 22:08

Yeah I feel a little more relaxed I think. I think I’m just hyper aware to every niggle.. I have some back pain at the moment.. I was sat awkwardly at my parents house and my toddler has a cold so is a bit clingy and wants to be held all the time bless him! So I might have just aggravated it.. it feels muscular.. I spoke to 111 and she didn’t seem concerned. Other than that, I’m just so tired! I’m conscious that I might not see a lot on the scan next week!

So I’ve told immediate family and a close friend of mine but just keeping it to that at the moment.

Ooh that does sound like promising signs @Ncl31! Thats so lovely of the consultant to do that for you 😊 I’m glad you feel a bit more relaxed! I keep thinking the same- just need to chill and go with whatever happens. Finding that hard though! Hope your bloods are ok!

I think it’s quite normal to not have any symptoms early on @ForestWren. I don’t really have any stand out ones yet, apart from gassy and being tired! Oooh I hope you manage to fool everyone with not drinking! Get a coke and say it’s a vodka and coke or something 😂 Enjoy the wedding! Going to new years at my mums this year and I’m expecting to be fast asleep on the sofa before midnight.. probably with my toddler still running around! 😂

Hi @MrsAnonymous24 and @Ncl31 hope you’re both doing ok! Sorry for radio silence. Have had a tough couple of days.

Out of nowhere yesterday I had some dark brown blood/ discharge - TMI but just enough to stain my underwear with some stringy bits. Pros are - it hasn’t happened again since, bar traces of light brown residue when I wipe, and I’ve had no cramps or red blood. Cons - the doctor isn’t very hopeful. So it looks like this one may not stick.

Felt awful about it this morning but I’m coming to terms with it. And I’m just grateful we conceived. If this one doesn’t work out I hope it’ll be straightforward to conceive again. 🤞

Ill just have to wait and see what happens over next couple of weeks.

Had pretty bad experience of NHS today. Kept being passed from one place to the next (dr, midwife, 111, pharmacist (?!) and back to dr) and no one would take responsibility for me. Made me feel really stupid and alone. In the end managed to get a doctor to call but it made the whole thing so much worse.

I’ll update on here for any going through similar thing. About 4 weeks 5 days today.

Hoping things going better for you two! ❤️

Ncl31 · 21/12/2023 19:22

@ForestWren im so sorry to hear you’ve had a tough time.
I hope things do settle down for you and it is a sticky bean.

MrsAnonymous24 · 22/12/2023 09:40

@ForestWren I’m sorry you’ve had such a tough time! Sounds like horrible service- was this at the Early Pregnancy Unit?
fingers crossed for a sticky bean 🤞 hope you’re okay

I’m okay I think.. worrying about every ache and pain.. my side is aching again.

I’m feeling sick today as well!

OP posts:
ForestWren · 22/12/2023 11:04

Thanks both!

Feeling a little better today. Have come to terms with it I think, but also so many people have said that the doc may be overreacting and that they had exactly what I had or worse and were fine. I’m not getting hopes up at all but trying to not let it run my Xmas! No more bleeding or symptoms so we’ll see.

I didn’t get a sniff of the EPU! Was passed from midwives to docs and all around the houses. I have an appt with midwife on the 29th.

@MrsAnonymous24 so sorry about your side! - when is your next appointment? How typical that all this is happening over Xmas. Do you think the sickness is morning sickness or something else? I’ve had a touch of that this morning I think.

@Ncl31 how are things with you? Glad you’re feeling more relaxed. It’s hard work keeping emotions in check isn’t it! I’ve realised that I’ll probably feel on edge the whole way through.

wishing the best for all of us!

Ncl31 · 25/12/2023 19:23

@MrsAnonymous24 did you bleed or just have pain? Early on when you went to get checked?
I’ve started to bleed today. It started quite bright red but has been pink and not as heavy as earlier. No signs of clots or anything at the moment either.

ForestWren · 26/12/2023 11:39

So sorry to hear that @Ncl31 - horrible timing. I’m sure you’ve read as much as I have online about early bleeding but it seems like many, many people have it and all is fine. Wishing the best for you.

Ncl31 · 26/12/2023 11:54

@ForestWren yes I’ve read that it is quite common. I’m hoping it is just implantation type bleeding. It was really quite red yesterday - just on wiping.
today it was brown and had tailed off quite a bit so I’m hoping that’s a good sign.
I have however done another weeks tests which still shows 1-2 weeks so that’s in the back of my mind as a negative thing.
only time will tell and there’s nothing I can do about it so I’m trying not to worry too much

ForestWren · 26/12/2023 12:10

Very much in same boat @Ncl31 ! Sounds promising if it’s tailing off for you. With the 1-2 weeks, I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad sign. I guess the truth is people can have blazing positives and have missed miscarriages anyway. And we’re not creating the ‘perfect conditions’ for scientific comparative testing each day so there’s no real way to be sure of your HCG until you have it checked at doctor. Do you have an appointment?

Ncl31 · 26/12/2023 12:20

@ForestWren I have an appointment at 13:30

MrsAnonymous24 · 26/12/2023 17:07

Hello Both,

Sorry been caught up in Christmas! Merry Christmas!

My side pain has been on and off so I don’t think it’s a bad thing, just aches. Think morning sickness has started now.

Sorry you’re both having trouble with bleeding. Can be normal I think. I hope you’re both okay. No I just had the pain, no bleeding.

Hope you’re appointment goes okay @Ncl31 🙏 have my scan tomorrow

@MrsAnonymous24 ah I’m sorry I misunderstood.

ive had my hcg results which aren’t great. It hasn’t risen as they’d expect. So they’ve prepped me as a likely miscarriage but have to go back on Thursday for repeat bloods and then to decide on how to manage it.

MrsAnonymous24 · 26/12/2023 18:33

@Ncl31 Oh I am so sorry! Hope you’re okay

OP posts:
ForestWren · 27/12/2023 11:47

I’m so sorry @Ncl31 - if this one doesn’t work out I hope you can take comfort from the fact you conceived (I realise I’m not sure of your conception history) but it does mean you’re likely to conceive again.

Ncl31 · 27/12/2023 11:50

@ForestWren thank you. That is exactly how I’m trying to see it right now. It has taken us 2 years to get our very first BFP. So I’m trying to take comfort from that as I now know I can conceive.
here’s hoping it doesn’t take us a further 2 years to get another BFP.
ive not had any more MC symptoms since Christmas Day. So I’m hoping it will all resolve soon.

Jess1997 · 07/03/2024 01:14

Just read and I got super invested in all of your stories! How are yous all doing now?

Ncl31 · 07/03/2024 06:06

@Jess1997 unfortunately I did go on to miscarry. It just wasn’t meant to be.
im currently 9DPO again, desperately trying not to test until Monday if I can - my BBT still looks good, nice and high. No symptoms really though, apart from yesterday I had some pretty awful lower backache

MrsAnonymous24 · 07/03/2024 07:18

@Jess1997 I’m almost 16 weeks pregnant with this baby! So far so good.

@Ncl31 ohh I’m sorry about your miscarriage. Fingers crossed for this cycle 😊

OP posts:
ForestWren · 07/03/2024 09:43

Hi @Jess1997 - and so so pleased for you @MrsAnonymous24 that's so wonderful! I hope everything is going smoothly! How are you feeling?

Unfortunately like @Ncl31 (sending you lots of hugs) my pregnancy wasn’t meant to be and I miscarried naturally at 7 weeks. It was really tough (mentally, the physical side was ok) but I’m starting to feel better about it. I think I spoke about having brown bleeding early on in this thread - I don’t think that was related as it was very early, but who knows.

However - I think I might currently be having a chemical! I tested positive two days ago at 10dpo on Friday, two days before my expected period (today) BUT the progression isn’t great and I had brown spotting and a sinking feeling this morning. I know it could be implantation bleeding… but I also have some suspicious cramps so I feel quite sure.

Very frustrating and quite upsetting but I’m currently on holiday and determined to have a good time. And once I’m sure it’s a chemical, I’ll have a glass of wine.

@Ncl31 wishing you loads of luck this cycle. Try not to test too early - that’s what I’m taking away from this!

ForestWren · 08/03/2024 17:54

Bit of an update - brown spotting was very minimal and didn’t turn into anything more sinister, and I have had a bit more line progression since yesterday so I’m a bit more optimistic. But it’s hard to relax. Wish I could just waltz through the next few weeks assuming the best!
